The SpaceEnjoy a Guest Floor with Private Access. Numerical locks mean no tricky keys.
Waverly linens, Hitchcock furniture and oriental rugs line this home and serenity, antiques and charm abound in this large home on quiet acreage by a pond, by a golf course, unique to the area.
On your Guest Floor, with your single-room booking (for 1 guest or 2), enjoy a private floor for you.
Your Floor has :

-- Locking Door(s) on Each Bedroom. (If you have a group/family travelling together* you can book more than one bedroom. Otherwise, only one bedroom, for one party at a time, is booked upon reservation.)
--Coffee/tea service. Cold breakfast the first morning.
Choose a canopy Garden-themed double-bed room overlooking the pond OR an Asian-theme double-bed room (with TV).
*We can accommodate UP TO FOUR GUESTS PER PARTY -- when all are travelling together.
To Book An Added Bedroom :: Please input the number of guests you want to book and email me an inquiry. A small second bedroom nightly fee, depending on total number of guests and nights, will be offered and added to your reservation -- the site is not configured to do it any other way. Thanks. Guest AccessYou'll enjoy seclusion on your floor and usually always have time to yourself on the main floor of the house, which resembles a large and multi-roomed common area of an Inn. Enjoy having tea on the porch or wine in the music room or playing the Steinway. Play a round of golf and enjoy the clubhouse grub and good company.
Guests love the peace and beauty here.
COFFEE & TEA ::
A full and complimentary coffee and tea service are provided on your floor.
An Honor Mini Bar is on Your Floor for midnight snack attacks or a mid-day boost with something healthy or a treat.
Ample local travel information, maps and restaurants guides are provided in your rooms. I also recommend local favorites like Foxcliff Golf Course, Mallow Run or Oliver wineries, Cedar Creek Brewery, the Tibetan Buddhist Cultural Center or IU Opera and Ballet, to name a few, all have directions and descriptions in the GUIDEBOOK here!
If you want to relax here, you are in for a treat. You'll have water views from the back porch, quiet neighborhood streets for walking by ponds and lakes that wind along side a golf course and beside quaint homes; a small workout area can be scheduled, and, a kitchen is available for refrigerator and microwave access.
The first morning, all guests are offered a lite breakfast of cereals and fruits or a sweet treat, usually with juice, too. Coffee, mocha, tea or cider are always available.
WHAT IF I WANT A HOT BREAKFAST?
By advanced arrangement, I can prepare a hot breakfast, priced nominally according to dietary requests.
Long-term stay guests can store cold breakfast goods in the breakfast nook/fridge. Long-term stay guests can also work out added needs like extended Wi-Fi access, limited cooking and other requests. Interaction with GuestsThe house is three-stories, and so large, so we rarely/may never cross paths. Guests enjoy their Guest Floor, with Private Access, and most all of the Main floor, too. I live in another portion of the house.
I am available, prompt, but unobtrusive, so you can rest and enjoy the escape. I am a foodie and adventurer and can share my favorite Indiana cultural or savory experiences. I especially know vegetarian and ethnic options.
Your travel information in the rooms will also help you find GREAT destinations/idea here whether you intend to relax or explore or in the GUIDEBOOK here. The NeighborhoodThis is a quiet, water-side community, situated between two major roads, just 30-35 mins to IND and near two 18-hole golf courses.
The house is half-way to Bloomington from Indianapolis, out of the fray, and miles from four wineries to tour en route to Bloomington for dinner or the opera or other campus event.
Canadian geese, colorful birds, ducks and turtles can be seen on the water's edge and a family of bunnies recently moved into the ample gardens here. Young, gentle deer are often seen walking the grounds at dusk or sipping from the pond.
Greenwood outlet shopping and eating is also close by! Full-service towns with Starbucks, Kroger, carry-out, yoga studios, fast food or pharmacies are 10 mins. away. Getting AroundUBER serves IND but does not pick up from this area. Parking is ample here. IND is 30-35 mins due north. Other Things to NotePlease let me know how to enhance your stay : I can supply wine glasses, ice, festive napkins and a corkscrew for a special event (anniversary get-aways are a specialty here). Cheese-plates, hot breakfast and/or fruit-plates can also be arranged in advance, as can professional florist deliveries. Please message me with your special requests.
