The SpaceMy home was built in 1925 as a doctor's office on the first floor, with he and his family living upstairs. I've tried to keep as much of the original accents (doors and doorknobs, woodwork/crown molding, hardwood floors) while updating and modernizing a few things (laundry, ceilings, windows, appliances) for what I think is a great combination of old and new school. Guest AccessMy house is your house. You'll have access to everything except everyone's individual rooms and closets. This includes, but is not limited to, living room/tv/piano/fireplace, kitchen/appliances, dishes/pots/pans/flatware/utensils, keurig, fridge and cupboard space, dining room, laundry, deck/yard/hot tub/basketball hoop, basement/exercise equipment, and all bathrooms. I'm pretty easy to get along with, as long as you respect me, my home and the people and things in it. Interaction with GuestsI'm around most of the time (I live here too), or only a phone call or text away. I can give you a ride if you're in a bind. If there's something you think you might benefit from during your stay, chances are that it will benefit me and future guests as well, so please suggest and I'll try to take care of reasonable requests. The Neighborhoodthe beaverdale and drake areas are great, older areas of town with cool history and endless LOCAL options for entertainment, groceries, restaurants (fast and otherwise), boutiques, banks, hardware stores and bars...all reachable by car or bike, and most on foot. Most important to some people would be the grocery store, health store and coffee shop, which is a 3 minute walk to the south. More detailed information about the area will be in the "everything" binder in your room. Getting Aroundbus stop is a 3 minute walk (as is the grocery and health stores). you can uber almost anywhere in the metro in 5-15 minutes. airport is 15 away. interstate 235, which is the metro connector for I-80 and I-35, is 5 minutes away. Other Things to NoteI'm a musician so I work from home most of the time except for playing shows or recording sessions. I also have a girlfriend that is a flight attendant and based in San Francisco, so I head out to meet her from time to time. Point being-I have a strange schedule and weird hours but i am quiet and respectful when other guests are around.
VEGANS: There is probably not a vegan pot, pan, utensil, refrigerator shelf, or basically any surface of any kind on this premises. I eat a lot of, and many kinds of, meat. I respect your lifestyle but my kitchen probably can't support it unless you're a little bendy with your rules. but I also don't know what the rules are so we might have to chat about that too.
