The SpaceWe share our home with a friendly 15 y/o shih tzu, and 2 rescue cats, neither of which you'll probably see, as they spend their time with mom and dad. Our home is fastidiously neat, clean, smoke-free, odor-free, etc. We have two choices in accommodation available; one room with a queen size bed or another room with two twin beds. Price is generally per room, per night. If you're traveling with a large party and you'd like to book both rooms, please let us know. Long term, weekly and monthly rates available. The twin beds can be assembled into a comfortable king size bed, if requested. There is a rollaway bed available for those traveling with an extra companion. Guests will have sole access to bathroom, or share with other guests, when both rooms are booked. All beds have fresh clean linens and fresh clean towels. A light breakfast (cereals, milk, toast, bagels, muffins, jam/jelly, cream cheese), coffee and tea is provided for you. Guest AccessLiving area has large, widescreen tv w/DVD player, premium cable and HBO.
Kitchen is stocked with cookware, utensils, spices etc. Toaster, toaster oven, microwave, blender, etc.
Each room also has 27'' widescreen tv, with premium cable and HBO. Interaction with GuestsI'm happy to provide whatever information I can, but otherwise we keep to ourselves. You'll have plenty of privacy. The NeighborhoodSafe neighborhood! Literally a 4 minute walk to the hospital. 8 minute walk to Walgreens and Walmart. Lovely park with duck pond 3 blocks away. Fast food, chinese takeout nearby. Getting AroundThe Kenner Loop (bus) stops right in front of the house. It brings you to a connector/transfer bus which brings you right into downtown New Orleans. But it takes FOREVER. We STRONGLY recommend you have your transportation sorted out. We also offer airport pickup/drop off for a low price. Additionally, we offer transportation to/from New Orleans at low rates ($40 round trip) (perfect for revelers unwilling to get gouged by cab fares--generally run about $80-100 RT!).
