The Bungalow is located near Mt. Batte Hiking trails; Megunticook Lake is minutes away, where you can swim at Barretts Cove, rent a boat for some delightful water sports; ideal for kayaking and canoeing also. Rock climbing is your 'thing'? From the lake you can see rock climbers scaling a nearby cliff. Take a .7 mi. hike up Maiden's cliff and view the coastline, islands, mountains and lakes. Restaurants such as Boynton McKay (a former Apothecary shop,then Soda fountain), Bayview Lobster and Waterfront boast the best Lobster around, and you can enjoy the lobster as you enjoy the ocean-front view from the Camden Harbor. Unique Maine shops, a picnic by the Ocean at Laite state park in Camden, Schooner rides, lighthouses from Camden Harbor; Visit Marshall Point lighthouse from the movie "Forrest Gump", 30 minutes away; 15 minutes from Isleboro Island Ferry dock, summer home of John Travolta and Kirstie Alley. 20 minutes from Vinalhaven Island Ferry. A great in between stop if you are headed up to Acadia National Park, we are 1 1/2 hours from Bar Harbor.

Are you a hiker? Explore the many trails through Camden Hills State Park, Maidens Cliff, Mount Battie. Perhaps you are an avid golfer, there are two great golf courses within 10 minutes from here. Ah! You love lighthouses! We have those too! within a 45 minute radius you have access to Owls Head lighthouse, or how about running to the end of the pier where Forrest Gump ran? Marshall Point Lighthouse is a nice 45 minute ride also. Avid bike riders - choose from 10-75 miles of scenic biking. Short 13 mile jaunt near the ocean and stop for a little picnic, or take a long dayride bike ride to Acadia. There is no end of FUN here on the Coast of Maine.
