The SpaceOur Mt Pleasant lodge is now available for group gatherings. This two story meeting house was constructed through many hearts and hands during our traditional barn raising offered by friends of Nurture Through Nature in 2003. Since that time, this special lodge has created space for healing and enrichment through diverse programming and community events. The upstairs is an open, spacious bright space, serving as our yoga and healing arts studio. The back room has been transformed as a bunk room with 3 brand new sets of comfy, hand~crafted bunks from local materials. There is a large, open parlor/kitchen/dining area and a deck, offering plenty of space for lounging, dining, or enjoying reading and sipping tea by the comforting wood stove heat. "Unplug" from life's crazy!
Use the workshop space upstairs for your own circles, workshop, dance, yoga, meditation or take advantage of our offerings on site through Nurture Through Nature’s Healing Arts Collective.
***Please note, on most Saturdays at 10am there is an ongoing yoga class (April through Dec except holiday weekends) led by the founder. You are invited to attend this class. Otherwise, we request that you leave the space from (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)am on Saturdays so the community class can continue.***
You have the opportunity to create your own special retreat by adding services such as a private sauna steam bath, a massage therapy session, a private customized yoga~meditation session, or a guided canoe trip, a guided hike~snow shoe excursion from the resident Maine Guide and founder, Jen Deraspe. All services are based on availability and advanced bookings are encouraged. You may pay on site for any added services you wish to add to enrich your stay.
This cabin has one real full/double bed and one twin real bed as well as a pull out single chair/bed.
About the land:
Our retreat sits on 33 wooded, hillside acres at the base of Pleasant Mountain. Nurture Through Nature Eco-Retreat Center offers private hiking trails, a crystal clear brook with dipping pools and granite sleuths and soaking pools right near by. We have a medicine wheel for a spectacular place to sit with long views of Mount Washington and the White Mountains National Forest. We border Nature Conservancy and Loon Echo Land Trust lands, forever protected from development.
Harmony eco~cabin is part of Maine's first green certified retreat center.
There is a composting toilet nearby (about 50 yards), an outdoor fire circle, picnic table, hammock and outdoor seating on small porch.
Please note there is no running water in the cabin. A seasonal outdoor shower is available at the nearby Mt Pleasant Lodge. Also, we now have a warm shower for our guests, a hybrid system with solar, wood and propane on demand for limited, mindful usage, located a 5 minute hike away at the Pioneer Shower Room.
