The SpaceOur home is a comfortable and cheerful spot to wind down after a fun-filled day at the beach, or after enjoying the many activities the Pine Point area offers. Located 14 miles south of Portland, our guests will find respite and ease at "Star of the Sea". Perhaps relax with a glass of wine in the patio, curl up with a book on the porch couch, or "sit long and talk much" on the porch in one of many cozy settings. The large porch also offers our guests a very pleasant area to dine.
Our home has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and comfortable living room.
The thermostat can be found in the living room for heat if need be.
Laundry facilities are located in the downstairs bathroom.
All bedrooms and baths have lovely fresh linens for your comfort. Beach towels are not included, however.
There are 4 bedrooms upstairs; 2 queen beds (one a Tempur-Pedic), 1 full, and 1 single.
There are 2 full baths; one upstairs, and the other downstairs with laundry facilities. An additional beach shower and flush is located in the garage off the patio. Perfect after the beach! The private patio has a gas grill and spacious area for lounging and dining. Our property is bordered with a picket fence and rosa rugosa roses, and has old fashioned perennial flower beds, which add to the ambiance of cottage life.
There is high-speed wireless internet, and Cable TV.
There is ample parking in the driveway, which supports 4 vehicles. There is no parking on the road. Our neighborhood is active during the day, quiet at night. Our community has friendly and courteous neighbors.

Check Out: 11:00AM Guest AccessPine Point Beach is a part of Scarborough's 156 square miles. We have 7 miles of beach where we are, and are one of the oldest fishing villages in the state.
We are only a mile and a half from the largest salt marsh estuary in the state of Maine; Scarborough Marsh Audubon Center, where naturalists give guided walking and canoe tours, as well as rent canoes. Pine Point has a variety of eateries in the area and rental facilities for paddle boards, bicycles, and kayaks. The sky over the beach is often filled with the bold color of kites flying. A great spot to fly your kite!
Beautiful Portland, Maine's largest city, is approximately 14 miles north, off 295. Portland has a wealth of activity, delicious food, unique shops, and history. A visit shouldn't be missed. There are picturesque state parks on the Atlantic nearby in both Scarborough and Cape Elizabeth. Casco Bay Lines in Portland offers various excursions on the water, and to the islands throughout Casco Bay. We certainly will provide our guests with information on the area, any activities of interest, and emergncy information. Interaction with GuestsOur home should have everything you need for a comfortable, pleasant experience. The NeighborhoodWe live in a beautiful beach community, which includes an active fishing village. In addition to fun beach activity, you may enjoy observing the fishing commerce along the town pier at the Co-op. There are fishing excursions, as well as kayaking nearby. Pine Point is a pleasant walking and biking neighborhood, and close to the Eastern Trail. The Scarborough Marsh (Audubon) is a short distance away, with interesting and fun activities for nature lovers.
For your dining pleasure, The Pine Point Grille is located not far up the Pine Point Road in Blue Point. Delicious dining indoors or out.
For simpler fare, you may choose to walk along the back street on Jones Creek Drive to Bayley's Lobster Pound. On the premises, is The Bait Shed. It offers cocktails on the tidewater while you munch on a famous Bayley's lobster roll. Or you might rather purchase from a variety of seafood choices that Bayley's offers, to put on the grill at the house. We buy all our fish at Bayley's! They also cook your lobsters for you!
Salty Bay is always a fun little walk for a meal along Jones Creek Drive. They offer a lovely area out back to enjoy your meal.
The Clam Bake too, is within walking distance for a bite to eat. Ken's Place, on the Pine Point Road has delicious fried clams, as well as other selections of choice.
The Beach House convenience store is a short walk along Route 9, toward Old Orchard.

ClearChoice, an urgent care facility, is located approx. 5 mi. away at 273 Payne Rd., in Scarborough. Other Things to NoteWe are not opposed to children coming, however our home is not child/baby-proof. We like to know ahead, if children will be part of your group. We certainly can discuss your needs to make you and your group as comfortable as possible.
