The SpaceBeautiful furnished second floor apt available for rent by the night, week or month in South Portland just over the bridge from downtown Portland. You can walk or ride a bike to shopping, beaches, restaurants, bars, parks.... GREAT location. Large kitchen, one bathroom with large shower (which may be shared with guests renting other floor), dining room, living room and bedroom(3 fully private rooms). PLUS just got a new, very yummy, therapedic bed...full size. Two rooms in the Apt may be shared with either myself or others who may rent on and off in apt on 3rd floor. The kitchen and bathroom would be the only shared spaces giving you a private dining room, living room, and bedroom which are all to the left of apt entrance while shared space is to the right. With a door and lock in between! You can inquire more info when booking. There are many times that no one will be on the 3rd floor giving you the whole 2nd floor space to yourself. But please be aware of shared space as it is common that both floors are booked during busy season. I have never had any complaints thus far and its also nice to explore that sense of community while traveling. I can also guarantee a completely private apt all to yourself for a additional charge depending on length of your stay and availability by renting both floors. PLUS FREE YOGA! I can offer one class per day for one person who is staying in apt taught by the studio owner, Lily. Please contact me if you would like to combine classes and take one together with your partner. Antique chic decor with great light and cozy atmosphere. Sleeps 1-2 but I can provide you with a blowup mattress if you need that can be put in living room. There is not a bunch of space to move things around for more beds but there are two couches. Dogs are welcome and there is a nice big fenced in back yard with lots of furniture. The green belt walkway is just across the way for running, biking, walking. Linens included. Bus stop just out front. Two bicycles are available for use, but I can't guarantee them in any way. No cable tv but tv and dvd player with some dvd's available also wireless internet is available by request. It is on a busy street but I have only had one complaint as it dies down at night and you can drown out the sound with a fan. There is off street parking but you can also park on Broadway or Elm if you have more then one car. $50 cleaning. 3 night minimum stay during peak season. Much less expensive than any hotel and closer to beaches! Please be aware that this is a older house and somethings are out of my control but I will always do my best to fix any problems that may arise. Contact for more info and photos. And info on renting whole house for more space. We offer childcare, dog care, and family or pet portraits as well with advance notice. Plus there is a yoga studio with classes for everyone on the first floor of the building. You are looking at the listing for the second floor apt only, if you want to rent both floors giving you the whole house and two apts here is the link... https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/2753673 Guest AccessGreat back yard with hammock and furniture. Interaction with GuestsI am only a hr away at most times if you need anything and can sometimes be found in town and around property. Also available via phone and happy to talk recommendations at anytime. The NeighborhoodWalking distance to any amenity you might need...great running trail across the street. Just 2 miles over the bridge to downtown Portland. Giving you a deluxe space of complete privacy in your 3 rooms and access to a fully stocked kitchen. Better then any hotel room!

The SpaceWe have a comfortable, light, second floor room in our "more than a hundred years old" house in the lovely West End. Old Maine charm, (wood stoves and wide board floors), great views of the Fore River Estuary and a quiet dead-end street all make this location a great place to stay while you explore Portland and the surrounding areas. We are in walking distance from Portland's Arts District and its charming Old Port. We are also very close to both its major hospitals. Three generations live here. The house is generally quiet and peaceful but on the days when my granddaughter is with us it becomes more boisterous and lively. She is a delightful child but on those days one can expect to hear the pitter patter of little feet and the usual sounds one associates with young children. If your plans include sleeping late on quiet mornings please be sure to check with us about the dates to see if they coincide with her visits or not. (We want your stay to be enjoyable!) The room has a queen size bed. There is a natural gas heater in the room so you can keep it comfortable. You would share the upstairs bathroom. There is a rather steep staircase to reach the second floor. (Have a look at the pictures to see it). This can be a challenge with large luggage or those who have difficulty with stairs. Please keep this in mind when you book with us. Guest AccessYou can use our downstairs kitchen, and the laundry facilities. The kitchen is open for your use from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. If you need to use it at some other time, please make arrangements with us first. There is WIFI throughout the house. You are welcome to enjoy the back deck and the garden. The upstairs kitchen is not shared with our guests. Interaction with GuestsThis is our home. We will be in and out during the day. We expect to meet you and make you comfortable. Tea and coffee are available in the kitchen. That's a good place to chat and get help with any questions you might have about Portland and the area. The NeighborhoodThe West End is one of the best places to live in Portland. It has tons of historic old houses, with lovely gardens and interesting architecture. It's the perfect place to walk around and take in the city. As you do, you'll find the West End Promenade, with views west as far as the White Mountains on clear days. There are schools, shops, and gourmet and everyday restaurants. You can get a pizza to bring home or sit at an outdoor table as you enjoy a variety of cuisines. It can be noisy at times. During the day you can hear trains and trucks below on Commercial street, jets overhead, and tugboats honking out in the harbor which you can see from my back porch. Getting AroundThere are city busses just a block away. Taxis are easy to get here. All of the peninsula, as we call the downtown area (because it is one), is in walking distance from here if you like to walk. Other Things to NoteOurs is generally a quiet house. We don't stay up late partying. If you are going to be coming back in the wee hours of the morning, please plan to be quiet. Your pet may be allowed, depending on the pet. In general, pets cannot be left unattended. If you plan to bring a pet and leave it here while you go out, please bring a crate or cage for your pet. We now have two cats who live on the first floor. They will not be upstairs where your bedroom and shared bathroom is, but if you plan to use the downstairs kitchen you would be in "cat territory" so please take note, if you have cat allergies. As mentioned in the description above, there is a rather steep staircase to reach the second floor. (Have a look at the pictures to see it). This can be a challenge with large luggage or those who have difficulty with stairs. Please keep this in mind when you book with us.

The SpaceGreat house, great spot. This is home base for exploring historic Portland (called America's foodiest small city) and its surrounding areas. The house: 1930's style Bungalow that's comfortable and cozy, but roomy enough to not feel small, with a big deck and bigger back yard (camp chairs and 6 ft. pop-up table avail for outside eating). The yard is fenced in, which is great for kids. Parking, grill, cable, WiFi, washer & dryer, and lawn games (weather provided) are all available. This is my home. If I'm renting out a room and am in town, I continue to use my bedroom, which is upstairs. If I'm out of town, you might be able to get the place to yourself! The spot: At the bottom of Meeting House Hill, this part of town is in the middle of all good Portland/South Portland things. It's just over the bridge from downtown's waterfront, shops, parks, music venues, amazing farmer's markets, islands (via ferry), and renowned restaurants and bars. On this side of the bay, it's about a mile from popular Willard beach (walking distance) and a handful of cool lighthouses. Just up the hill are David's 388 restaurant, Beal's Ice Cream (best lobster roll for the price), and Scratch Bakery (get the salt bagels). And dessert at Red's Dairy Freeze is steps from the house. Coming soon are legendary Otto's Pizza and a down-home BBQ joint. South Portland has its own farmer's market just down the street, every Wednesday. The bungalow is just off RT77, which leads to Cape Elizabeth, more lobster shacks, a mess of great beaches, and historic Fort Williams park. Nearby beaches: Higgins, Ferry, Kettle Cove, Crescent, Scarborough, East End (Portland). Walking and biking trails trails run through Portland and this part of South Portland, as do kayak launches. Red Sox games are only 1.5 hrs away in Boston and their AAA team, the Sea Dogs, has its home right here in Portland. All prices include Maine Sales Tax.

The SpaceThis is one of the most majestic spots in Maine and your hosts are here to make it the best stay possible. Kate can offer any variety of activities and amenities and is willing to be a bit flexible. Guest AccessGuests have access to our wireless internet, our porch, dining room, and den. TV with basic stations and DVD player/netflix available upon request. Use of yard and beach access included. Limited use of kitchen for simple snacks and drinks (meals are cooked by hosts upon request). Interaction with GuestsEach experience is unique when you visit. I cook with delicious local food, much of it grown in the backyard. You can request meals for the duration of your stay by trained chef Duncan. Kate is a certified yoga instructor and scheduled private sessions can be arranged. Kids crafts from beach walks can be arranged, as well as day trips to the local sites. I am happy to provide guidebooks and pamphlets to other sites in Portland, a mere 15 minutes away, or the surrounding area. The NeighborhoodCape Elizabeth is minutes south of Portland but has a wonderful variety of activities and sites. Biking is a great way to see the sites when the weather permits and possible rental may be arranged in advance if interested. Getting AroundThere is very little public transit out by the coast. Would definitely recommend having a vehicle if intending to leave frequently. Other Things to NoteI can be there when you arrive assuming you give notice. I do have two pets, and though friendly, people with serious allergies to cats or dogs may not be happy staying here.

The SpaceThe house is a Colonial style with bedrooms and bathroom upstairs and shared living space downstairs. There's an extra half bath in the basement, that I usually use when I have guests, making it easier to share space. Depending on your party's size, you'll either have the twin bedroom (1 guest) or the full-sized futon bedroom (2 guests) or both (3+ guests). If kids are sharing the room with you, they stay free. Nearly 100% of my guests have gone to Scratch Baking Co. down the street and have fallen in love. It's the reason I don't serve breakfast. No one wants cereal when there are Scratch bagels and other treats! (I do have coffee and tea for you, however.) I do not have a dog, despite the review to the contrary. While it's true that there was a dog who used to frequent my house as a visitor, he no longer does, and his hair has been removed as well. Guest AccessBedroom (or two), bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room, back yard including chairs and grill, coffee, tea, spices, pots and pans, front yard, cherries & apples when ripe. The house has a keypad lock, so getting in and out will be easy. The bathroom is stocked with the basics (shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels). I also provide coffee and tea for guests. There is a driveway with space for your car -- which is important given nightly street parking bans in the winter. I'll shovel snow or hire someone to do so if it's needed. Interaction with GuestsI'm very happy to play host and tell you all I know about Maine and hear about your adventures, but I'm respectful of your privacy and won't pester you for details if you prefer to keep to yourself. The NeighborhoodEveryone loves this neighborhood. It's nice and quiet at night, but there's also a lively little artsy, food-positive scene going on here during the day. The beach offers year-round views, everyone loves Scratch bakery, and there are plenty of other conveniences. It's about a 10-minute drive or 20-minute bike ride to the center of Portland. Getting AroundCar is probably easiest (there's on and off street parking available), but bikes, skateboards, taxis, cross country skis, and plain old feet have also been successful ways to travel for me and my guests. There is also a city bus if you're feeling adventurous, though I could bike most places faster than the bus goes even though it picks up a block from the house. Parking is abundant and easy. Other Things to NoteI have an additional listing that is for the whole house if you'd rather have the whole place to yourself. It's only available when I'm away, of course. Please send me a message if you're interested and I can switch the listing for you and we can discuss pricing.

New bike path runs along scenic Shore Road. Walk and run along protected wooded land trust trails off the back of the neighborhood. Amenities include four burner outdoor grill, large deck, swingset, fire pit, full kitchen, two baths and wireless internet. The kitchen has a brand new gas range and oven. Sorry no cable TV, but really why would you need that when you can be at the beach? Please be aware that a small short hair dog (almost no shedding) lives on the premises during the non-rental season, thus if you are allergic to dogs this may not be the right rental for you. All basic non-perishable cooking basics provided in the kitchen as well as other basics like coffee, sugar, spices, ketchup, etc. Help yourself to anything in the kitchen during your stay. Our casa es su casa! Please treat it as nicely as yours too :) House comfortably accommodates 6 guests in beds and an additional comfortable futon. I prefer rentals of one week in length, but can also sometimes accommodate rentals of at least 3 nights (just email me to inquire). Everything in the kitchen is organic. The bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, soap, bath towels and beach towels, and miscellaneous toiletries in case you've forgotten anything. I provide coffee and tea, am generally happy to share whatever I'm making for breakfast although most of my guests go to the amazing Scratch bakery down the street for breakfast! Guest AccessGuests have full access to the house including kitchen, back deck with grill, shared bathroom, living room, dining room, sun porch. Guests are welcome to use cookware, juicer, Vitamix, etc., and to store food in the frig. I work full time and am out a lot, but am available by cell phone. The NeighborhoodQuiet, neighborly street that is half a block from restaurants, theater, yoga studio, galleries, and an art studio. Very little traffic on the street, and this is a very safe neighborhood. Scratch Bakery, the most divine bakery on the planet, is a short walk, and once you get your food you can continue another block to the beach for a leisurely breakfast. The beach is .8 mile from my house. There is also a beautiful greenbelt trail nearby if you enjoy woods walks, with ponds and spring peepers that you can hear from the house. You can also hear Portland Head Light's foghorn- Portland Head, a short distance away, is a beautiful lighthouse surrounded by lovely park grounds with a stunning cliff walk. This is a great area for bike riding as well, either for ocean views or for rural rides in Cape Elizabeth. Bicyclng into town is easy as well, as there is a bike lane on the Casco Bay Bridge. Getting AroundThe airport is about a 20-minute drive. There's plenty of on-street parking from April through November and guests generally can park right in front of the house. The driveway can be used for parking in the winter, but is quite narrow. Other Things to NoteI have two very sweet cats, so unfortunately I'm not able to accomodate other pets. My cats would be happy to snuggle with you as much or as little as you want! Parlo un po' d'italiano perche ho vissuto a Firenze per un paio d'anni. (L'italia mi piace tanto!) Other Things to NoteI have two very sweet cats, so unfortunately I'm not able to accomodate other pets. My cats are usually happy to snuggle with you as much or as little as you want! Unfortunately I also can't accommodate young children.

The SpaceMy house is a renovated 1910 New Englander with lots of windows and light throughout. The house is small and cute: an open living room with hardwood floors, a kitchen with stainless appliances, cooking supplies and clothes washer/dryer, a downstairs bathroom and two little bedrooms upstairs. I love small spaces and hope you do too. The whole house is 720 s.f. The guest bedroom has a queen bed, side tables, lighting and a closet for clothing - simple, bright and clean. I should note that the stairs to the guest bedroom are steep and narrow - fine for most people but perhaps challenging for folks with limited mobility. I have a small garden and big yard for frisbee tossing. If you're interested in renting the whole house rather than just a bedroom, feel free to get in touch since there will be weeks this summer that I'm out of town. Guest AccessGuests should feel like this is their home and will have access to the whole house and yard. I'll give you key sets upon arrival. Interaction with GuestsThis is really based on what the guest prefers: I can disappear or be really present depending. I'm happy to orient and give advice on all the great scenery, bars, eats, etc. that Portland has to offer. I've lived here for most of my life so have lots of local knowledge to share. I'm not home often with a busy summer schedule, so it's possible you will have the house to yourself. The NeighborhoodI live in Ferry Village, named because the ferry used to run from here to Portland across the harbor before the bridge. It's a cute, friendly neighborhood with lots of families and kids and a nice playground down the street. The Greenbelt Walkway crosses right by my house and it's a short walk (about 10 minutes) to Bug Light Park, Spring Point Breakwater and Lighthouse, and Willard Beach. I'm about a mile from Portland Headlight and Fort Williams Park. It's a short walk to the Willard Beach neighborhood and Scratch Bakery, Willard Scoops Ice Cream, a yoga studio, restaurants and more. By car it's 5 minutes to Portland, and there's a bus stop right near the house. You can also bike the Greenbelt to Portland. If you're a surfer, it's about 15 minutes to Higgins or Scarborough Beach. I can give you info on where to rent boards and wetsuits. Getting AroundIf you bring your bike we can store it in my garage. I also have a spare you can use. There's a bus stop right by my house, and it's really easy to walk, bike or drive to Portland or beaches. There's plenty of driveway space for cars. Other Things to NoteCheck-in is anytime after 3pm and check-out is anytime before 11am. I provide coffee, tea, fruit and bread for all guests.

The SpaceSteps away from Willard Beach, the Atlantic Ocean, views of lighthouses and Islands. From the house there are water views from every window facing the ocean. Close enough to carry your kayak or paddle board to the beach. This newly renovated 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom year round cottage sleeps 5 and has all new granite countertops, stainless appliances, furniture and fixtures. It is steps away from Willard Beach where you can walk to restaurants, lighthouses and bike paths. Don’t be surprised when you hear the waves lapping on the beach lulling you to sleep or a distant fog horn reminding you that the lobstermen are out catching your dinner. Take in the ocean view from the house, porch or the beach. Your cottage is in a nice, quiet family and vacation rental neighborhood where you'll see people walk, jog and bike ride. You'll see folks carrying their paddle boards and kayaks to the beach, the frequent wedding parties taking pictures and artists carrying their easels to Fisherman's Point to paint the Portland Head Light. You have the choice of dining in or walking to several restaurants (not chains but nice upscale and casual restaurants, a bakery, ice cream shop and a small pet store, photos included). Bug light has a summer movie series outside right on the water and we post all the local events on our (website hidden) page. On the opposite side of the beach is Fort Prebble that is now a small college. Walk the jetty out to Spring Point Light where they give tours then walk to One Fifty Ate for a fresh warm bagel. Because of the college there is public transportation that stops right at the top of the hill year round. By the way everything mentioned above is between a 1 and a 15-minute walk, no cars necessary. So Rest, Relax, Rejuvenate at Ocean Breeze Cottage. You have access to the entire home except the basement. As often as possible we will be there to welcome you. Otherwise the front door is opened with a key code that we will give you prior to your arrival. We do not bother you during your stay unless you need something. Our cottage is in the part of the neighborhood that is closest to the beach and is very convenient. It's a great central location for exploring the coast. Whether you take a day trip downeast or south along the coast. Or if you want to park your car and not start the engine until you leave, then you're in luck. It is a short walk to Scratch Bakery for fresh coffee & bagels in the morning or a sandwich for lunch. Willard Scoops Ice Cream Shop is across the street from Scratch Bakery. There is Joe's Boat house at Spring Point Marina. It's a walk across the beach and through the college campus to Joe's. There is a paved bike path that will take you two miles to the supermarket and beyond. These are just a few examples of shops and restaurants that are close by. Be sure to ask and we'll give you the lowdown and a map. Getting around is easy. If you want to take the bus into Portland, it will stop right in front of Scratch Bakery. Guest AccessYou will have access to the whole house with the exception of the basement. There isn't anything of value down there but it's low ceilings and duct work. No reason to be down there. Interaction with GuestsMost of the time I will be there to greet guests but I will always be available via cell and text messaging. The NeighborhoodI love that I dont have to get in my car for a treat, sandwich, coffee, dinner, bagel, breakfast, lighthouse, ocean, beach, ice cream cone, sunrise over the Atlantic, sunset reflecting off the Atlantic. During the summer I ride the bike path to the supermarket and load up my saddle bags. It's so easy to live here. Getting AroundAny way you want. Bus, cab, car, bike, walk, rollerblade, kayak, paddle board. In fact my neighbors right next door used their paddle boards to get to Peaks Island for lunch last summer. Good stuff!

The SpaceA small bright room upstairs on the second floor, to the right of the bathroom, overlooking the back yard, deck and organic gardens which are alive with birds, bees, blueberry bushes, grapes, cherry trees, rhubarb, herbs and lettuces in season. An old house and old furniture will appeal to those who appreciate such things. Not antiques, just vintage. We provide cotton linens and fluffy towels. Extra blankets are available in the closet. There is a fan in the room available for use in the summer which can alternately direct air in or out (by turning the fan around in the window) and provide 'white noise' for those that require it. Guest AccessOur kitchen is available for light use. We do have various equipment to prepare coffee and limited space in the refrigerator. We provide paper towels and toilet paper, fragrance free shampoo and conditioner and liquid hand/body soap. The room and shower are on the second floor, the half bath off the kitchen on the first floor. It is five steps up into the house from the street. Interaction with GuestsAs employed hosts, we'll be happy to provide information and directions whenever possible and would love to make you a cup of coffee in the morning! Just let us know when you'll be up if you'd like a cup. The NeighborhoodWe live on a dead end residential street. There are a few kids down the end of the street, who can oftentimes be heard playing outside in the summer. We share a vegetable garden with our neighbor, so there is that neighborly community activity going on also in the summer. Of course things are more buttoned up in the colder months. There are three parks within a 10-20 minute walking distance of us. One under the Casco Bay Bridge that spans the Fore River. That is a cool destination with the breezes coming off the water in the summer. In the summer they put a float in down there and you can dangle your legs in the water and explore the rocks and rocky beach under the bridge as well as sit on a bench in the shade on the grass. Hinckley Park is a 15 minute walk from us where people often take their dogs to escape the heat on a hot summer day. It is a woodsy trail that weaves a figure eight around two ponds that are stocked with trout in the summer. South Portland's community garden is there. Millcreek Park is the center of South Portland. There you'll find a lovely duck pond with a water feature and bandstand where our town stages free concerts during the summer on Wednesday evenings. Perfect opportunity to bring a picnic and join the locals. Nearby you can find a farm store and the CIA coffee house (coffee ice cream and art), Asian cuisine and a great little Mexican restaurant which is budget friendly. There are also two diner style restaurants to have breakfast. The area is complete with banks, laundromat, bookstore, grocery stores, hardware store, and two gyms. Just around the corner from us are two yoga studios also! About 6 minutes drive down the street, or again a forty minute walk, there is a lovely beach and two lighthouses and seafood restaurants, all next door to our community college campus that sits right on the ocean side. In that area are two unique bakeries and an ice cream shop which makes their own with quality ingredients such as real cream and fresh fruit! Getting AroundBy car we are a 6-8 minute drive to downtown Portland or the nearest beach and lighthouses. On foot, it is a forty minute walk or twenty minute bicycle ride into town. There is a bus stop at the end of our street for a line that runs every two hours, except on Sundays. That bus connects to others that run more frequently and go as far north as Yarmouth and Freeport where the LL Bean store is. So it would be a 6 minute drive (as much as 15 in heavy summer traffic) to get to Casco Bay Ferry Lines to take a twenty minute boat ride to Peaks Island or a three hour ferry ride around the bay. Other Things to NoteWe are two adults in the home, me and my partner. We rent out two airbnb rooms, so there may be an additional person down the hall and sharing the bathroom. I occasionally do some catering out of the house, so there are times when there is large scale food production going on. My partner is a carpenter and a blues musician, so he can sometimes be heard making carpenter noises or practicing guitar out in the garage.

But guests will have their own room, furnished with a full size bed and comfortable and clean bedding, necessary lighting, and any other essential amenities. Guest AccessKitchen, dining room, living room (with TV you can connect your computer to for watching netflix), and front porch for enjoying the weather while it lasts. Interaction with GuestsIt kind of just depends. Sometimes we'll be doing our own things, and sometimes we are around. But this home includes young professionals who enjoy surfing, hiking, and sitting around a wood stove while making dinner together. It can be a very quiet space, or it can be warm and energetic. Regardless, the house is big, so if you want a quiet retreat with space for reflection you can definitely find it. The Neighborhood-Just down the street is Wells Farm where you can book a wonderful dinner with excellent food, made with fresh ingredients straight from the farm. Getting Around-Parking is available on this property. We are only a 10 minute drive from Higgins Beach, and are equally close to down town Portland. We do recommend you come with a car as there is no public transport. Other Things to Note-There is only one bathroom in this house, but so far that has not been a problem. -Use of the laundry machine (and detergent) is available for $3/load for washing machine, and $2 for the dryer. -If you enjoy surfing... we do too! -This house is located on a great Cape Elizabeth walk that goes through woods and has a number of wandering routes. There are also great roads for people who like to run or bike.

The first floor features the open concept living-dining-kitchen area with access to a large deck and grill. There are large, sunny windows all around with views of the surrounding woods. There is a chef's (my husband!) kitchen with a Subzero fridge, dishwasher, and six burner gas range, as well as a seated island. Beyond that is the first bedroom, with a queen-sized bed, and the bath. The first floor bedroom also has a private entrance at the back of the house. Upstairs, with vaulted ceilings, is the playroom-den area, and down the hall is the second bedroom with two twin beds (one is a loft bed) and the third bedroom with a double bed, as well as the second bathroom with lovely glass mosaic tile. At the end of the hall is the master suite with a king-sized bed and relaxing jacuzzi tub. This house sits on a large lot with fruit trees, perennial and vegetable garden beds, and lots of space. There is a long gravel driveway with plenty of parking, and our neighborhood is quiet and friendly. You can feel free to choose some vegetables or herbs from the gardens or fresh eggs from the chicken coop to augment your meals here. Guest AccessWe're located in a suburban neighborhood about one mile from the coast at Portland Head Light (our nearest beach) and ten minutes from downtown Portland. There are several excellent sandy beaches as well as restaurants, ice cream stands, and shops within a five mile radius. Check out Higgins Beach, Crescent Beach State Park, and Kettle Cove. This is a truly lovely and spectacular part of the world! We respond to emails and calls quickly and professionally. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is a quiet suburb of Portland, where we all enjoy easy access to the gorgeous nearby beaches and Casco Bay. Portland has a stellar restaurant scene as well and lots of shops and walking sights to see. This is a very, very wonderful place to live. Getting AroundThis is an area where having a car is very helpful. There's lots to do on foot or by bike, but to get to Portland and the beaches and perhaps surrounding towns like Freeport and Kennebunk you'll want to have a car accessible. Other Things to NoteWe're flexible on pets (as we have animals on this property)- please reach out to us if you'd like to bring a pet or pets along with you for your stay. We will do our best to accommodate. For folks with allergies: we keep this house impeccably clean but there are dogs, cats, and chickens on and around the property. Accessibility: There are stairs to both entry doors- one steeper set with a railing at the side door and platform steps to the front door. The building is not wheelchair accessible. The inside space is spread over three levels.
