The SpaceHi, welcome to my 1930s tudor-style, 1800-square-foot rowhome in Baltimore. It's a cozy, quiet place and a very short drive to most of the major universities in town, including Towson University, Johns Hopkins, Goucher College, Stevenson University, Notre Dame, Loyola University, so perfect for families doing the college visit circuit or for parents visiting their students, or visiting faculty. The house is also very close to many of the major hospitals for traveling nurses and physicians—Union Memorial, St. Joseph's Medical Center, GMBC, Good Samaritan, Sheppard Pratt, Sinai, Maryland General Hospital, Kennedy Krieger, Mercy, Johns Hopkins, and more. Belvedere Square, is just two blocks away. LOCATION: 15 minutes from all the major attractions, Inner Harbor, Baltimore Museum of Art, American Visionary Art Museum, National Aquarium, 2 minutes from Towson, 5 minutes driving distance from light rail and I-83. It's a great spot for parents wanting to check out colleges in Baltimore or visiting your kids who are already here. The house is also just 45 minutes from Washington, DC. NEIGHBORHOOD: The house is on a quiet, lovely, tree-lined street (voted prettiest in Baltimore) in a good, well-established neighborhood. Belvedere Square is walking distance—a few blocks away—and boasts a wonderful summer music festival if you happen to be here on a Friday night in the summer months. It also has a number of restaurants, pubs, and shops as well as the Senator Theater, one of the top-rated art deco style movie theaters in the country, with first-run movies. The house is a 5- minute drive to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's, 5 minutes to the closest mall. HOME SET UP: There are 2 bedrooms with 1 queen-size bed and 1 full size bed, and 1 futon in the carpeted, above-ground basement. Additionally, the house has 1 large, full bath upstairs + 1/4 bath in basement (it's a Baltimore thing with houses built in this era), eat-in kitchen and granite countertops, gas stove/oven, central A/C, radiator heat, hardwood floors, washer/dryer, sky lights, sunroom/meditation room off the master bedroom, wood-burning fireplace, and much more. Lots of old world charm with updated amenities. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Wi-fi and basic cable provided. WHAT WILL BE WAITING FOR YOU WHEN YOU ARRIVE: - Fresh linens and towels - Hairdryer - Clock radio - House manual with everything you need to know about the house and hood. - Shower and hand soaps - Directions to and information about local area attractions - Coffee and teas - Condiments PLEASE NOTE: The house has a lot of stairs and is not child proofed, so it's not a great space for families with small children. Also, as much as I love four-legged family members, I have a no pet policy due to allergies! : ( Thanks for stopping by! Guest AccessGuests will have access to the entire house. The NeighborhoodThis is a well established neighborhood in walking distance to shops and restaurants of Belvedere Square. Belvedere Square has wonderful restaurants, pubs, a European style market, and an art-deco movie theater. In the summer months, each Friday night they block off the area for a concert in the Square. Food and beverage vendors are out and people set up picnic style dining and listen to various local bands perform. It's a lot of fun! Getting AroundI'm 5 minutes drive from the light rail and there are bus stops a block or two from the house. Most guests use a car, however, to get around. There is plenty of street parking. Other Things to NoteStreet parking is readily available directly in front of the house.

The SpaceHi, welcome to my beautiful 1930s rowhome in North Baltimore, located on what was voted the "prettiest street in Baltimore." The large front bedroom features hardwood floors, a large closet, and a full-sized, antique mahogany bed. This can be for a short-term stay, or I have flexibility in terms of a longer-term lease, and I can offer a month-to-month lease (rates would be less for a full month lease). The SpaceHi, and welcome to my 1930s rowhome in North Baltimore (a great neighborhood, very close to restaurants, area universities, and more). This room is in the above ground basement, and features brand-new carpeting, a full-size futon bed, and a TV with basic cable. There's a quarter bath in the basement as well. The house is very comfortable, and well decorated and fully furnished with towels, cooking utensils, etc. HOME AMENITIES AND SET UP: There are two bedrooms upstairs with a large, shared bathroom. The rest of the house is shared and includes eat-in kitchen and granite counter tops, gas stove/oven, central A/C, radiator heat, hardwood floors, washer/dryer, wood-burning fireplace, fenced in back patio area. The basement has a 1/4 bath (a Baltimore thing). Lots of old world charm with updated amenities. Beautifully decorated and furnished. LOCATION: 15 minutes from all the museums and attractions of downtown Baltimore and the Inner Harbor, 2 minutes from Towson, 15 minutes from Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, 45 minutes from Washington, DC., and 5 minutes driving distance from light rail and I-83. The house is on a lovely tree lined street (voted prettiest in Baltimore) in a good, well established neighborhood near restaurants and shops, walking distance to Belvedere Square. I'm within 10 minutes of most of the major universities in the area (for families coming to events on campuses), including Johns Hopkins, Loyola, Notre Dame, Towson University, Goucher, and Stevenson, and I have a full guide to the neighborhood and to the house, including take out menus from local restaurants, directions to local museums, shops, and eateries (everything you'd want is within minutes). It's a great, quiet alternative, but close to downtown and all the activities you might want to enjoy in the city. And I'm about 35 minutes from BWI airport. PARKING: There is plenty of street parking directly in front of the house. TRANSPORTATION: A car is needed, but I'm a 5 minutes' drive from the light rail, 10 minutes' drive to the Amtrak station, and 5 minutes to the major highway running into downtown (I-83 and 695). SAFETY: It's always a concern for anyone who knows Baltimore! My neighborhood is a well established neighborhood with families who have lived there for generations. I've lived here for six years and have always felt safe. OTHER: No pets or smokers, please. I'm easy going, clean, respectful, friendly (but also understand about personal space needs!). Right now, I'm working from home during the day, but that could change, and I will likely be traveling quite a bit in the upcoming months. Thanks for your interest! Guest AccessGuests will have access to the full kitchen, full bath, and living/dining room area. There are two TVs in the house--the basement area can be either a bedroom or living space. Interaction with GuestsI'm usually on site, but also give my guests plenty of space! The NeighborhoodThis is a well established neighborhood with easy street parking and access to all the amenities of the city, including restaurants, shops, and downtown attractions. Getting AroundThere are several public bus lines within a few blocks, and I'm about a five minute drive to the light rail which runs downtown, to the airport and train stations, and all the way up to Cockeysville. Other Things to NoteOne note: if you are here during the winter, this room is located in the basement, which is also where the furnace is located. If you're a very light sleeper, this might be disturbing for you (when it turns on), so I might suggest the upstairs room for you if it's available. Otherwise, guests report that it is very comfortable!

The SpaceSimple furniture. Lots of warm morning light with two windows. Easy access to the kitchen. You get your own full bath, but it's not attached to the room. Closet in the room. Comfy chair. Queen bed. Fresh towels. Desk. And an iMac. Works well for one to two people. Guest AccessThey will have access to the kitchen, their own bathroom, laundry area (just let me show you how it works first), living room, dining room, and of course their room, which has a key lock doorknob. Interaction with GuestsI'll be home, and I work a 9-6ish schedule. So general daily interaction - if our schedules cross. :) The NeighborhoodFriendly, quiet neighbors. Lots of big trees - doesn't feel like the city. Sometimes you'll spot a fox or two. Very easy access to Whole Foods, Starbucks, and other local businesses and restaurants. Super easy parking right out front. Getting AroundYou're about a 5 min uber ride or bike ride from the Baltimore light rail, which travels south towards the inner harbor/Camden Yards. There is a bus stop at the bottom of my block for local travel. Easy access to 83, 695, and MD 26 by car. You can also try your hand at getting a horse from the Pimlico racetrack to ride around town... :) Other Things to NoteI have two dogs and one cat. The SpaceThe home is a lovely 5,400 square foot mid-century modern stone home on almost 1-acre in an exceptional Baltimore County neighborhood near Mt. Washington/Roland Park and Lake Roland Park. The house is reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright design with stone fireplaces, natural and green materials used elegantly throughout the home and radiant floor heat. The upstairs floors are warm eucalyptus and the downstairs floors are a neutral travertine. The recreation room and master bedroom have flat screen TV's with surround sound and there is a smaller flat screen in the kitchen. The house is wired for sound with speaks throughout the house. There is an iPod docking station in the kitchen that is also connected to the sound system. The spectacular open gourmet kitchen is almost 400 sq. ft. with granite counter-tops, eucalyptus cabinets, a 6-burner gas stove-top with grill, double ovens, oversized stainless steel sink, microwave, dishwasher, Sub Zero refrigerator, wine closet and separate bar sink. The kitchen is open to a very large living room/dining room combination with vaulted ceiling, fireplace and a wall of sliding glass doors that offer lots of light and exceptional views. Our home has 4 bedrooms and a sitting room off the master bedroom, which can serve as a 5th bedroom with a queen sized sofa bed with a foam mattress (to sleep two additional people). There are sliding frosted glass doors to close it off from the master. The master bedroom has a luxurious en-suite bath with heated marble floors, Jacuzzi tub, sunken shower with multiple shower heads and a steam unit, and 2 sink vanity with marble countertops. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, all renovated within the last 3 years. The bottom floor has a very large recreation room with a large sectional sofa, and 60" flat screen TV (with surround sound and full media) grand piano, second fireplace and bar. A second full kitchen is just off the recreation room. Sliding glass doors open up onto a sweeping travertine covered terrace with beautiful wooded views. There are three separate patio areas for sitting, relaxing and/or dining. The spacious front and back yards have many beautiful old trees and evolving foliage associated with our ongoing landscaping projects. Both yards provide restful green spaces for playing and relaxing. The back patio was recently renovated and features a new stone knee wall, herb garden and enlarged patio, steps and walkways, all covered in bluestone. Guest AccessBesides the entire home, guests also have access to the entire grounds of the home, including a front terrace with dining tables and built in barbeque, and the shady back patio with sitting area and dining table. Interaction with GuestsHowever much the guests wish to. However, when renting the entire home it is likely that we will be out of town and will not have much direct interaction with guests except by e-mail or phone. The NeighborhoodWe are located in the stunning neighborhood of Lake Manor, between Roland Park and Mt. Washington. There is nearby shopping on Falls Rd and in the Mt. Washington Mill complex (within 1- 1/2 miles), which has a Whole Foods and a wine shop. There are also many restaurants in the area that are easily accessible. Lake Roland Park is a block away, just down the hill from our home. Boys Latin, Gilman School and Roland Park Day school are within a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive. The campus of Johns Hopkins University is about a 5 minute drive and downtown Baltimore is about 15 minutes by car or by light rail. The Falls Rd. light rail stop is 3/4 mile away next to the park. The SpaceThis is my favorite bedroom; it faces east, and has great morning light. The dogwood tree outside the south window gives it a bit of a treehouse feel. It's small but charming, and you have the rest of the house to spread out in if needed. A window AC and ceiling fan will keep you cool in the summer, and steam radiator heat makes the room cozy in the winter. The sky-lit bathroom is shared with the owner, and includes a marble-tiled shower, bathtub and bidet. There is also a half bath downstairs. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and a full range of cooking equipment, although no microwave. You can eat in the dining room or al fresco on the deck or in the garden. The living room is warm and pleasant, with comfortable reading chairs. Guest AccessHouse, deck, garden.. Interaction with GuestsI am happy to help in any way I can to make your stay pleasant. Long or short guests are welcome. The NeighborhoodMt. Washington is wonderful! Green, safe, friendly, with easy access to all parts of the city. Convenient to Sinai Hospital, downtown Baltimore, 83 and 695, the house is a 20 minute walk to Mt. Washington Village where you'll find the light rail, shops, restaurants and Whole Foods Market. Excellent for medical residents or visitors to Baltimore. Getting Around27 bus, light rail (20 minutes walk), 83, 695 - all close at hand. Other Things to NoteThere are cats and a dog in the house (although they are not allowed in the guest bedrooms). Wifi works everywhere. Please note that the window AC is only in the bedroom, not the rest of the house. This bedroom is small, and it is challenging for longer stays if you have a lot of baggage.

The SpaceHi, welcome to my 1930s tudor-style, 1800-square-foot rowhome in Baltimore. It's a cozy place to rest your head when in town visiting family, attending a convention (I'm a short drive from Timonium fairgrounds and not far from the convention center), visiting universities (close to most of the major universities in town), or just coming to see some of the sights in Baltimore. It would be an ideal set up for colleagues who might be in town for a convention and want their own space and want the flexibility of preparing their own meals, etc. If I am in town, the space would be shared, but I often travel in which case you would have the place to yourselves. I give guests plenty of space! LOCATION: 15 minutes from all the major attractions, museums, aquarium, etc. of downtown and the Inner Harbor, 2 minutes from Towson, 5 minutes driving distance from light rail and I-83. 5-10 minutes from most major universities (Johns Hopkins, Towson, Loyola, Notre Dame, Goucher, and more), so great for parents wanting to check out colleges in Baltimore. And I'm just 45 minutes from Washington, DC. NEIGHBORHOOD: The house is on a lovely tree-lined street (voted prettiest in Baltimore) in a good, well-established neighborhood. Belvedere Square is walking distance—a few blocks away—and boasts a wonderful summer music festival if you happen to be here on a Friday night in the summer months. It also has a number of restaurants, pubs, and shops as well as one of the top-rated art deco style movie theaters with first-run movies. The house is a 5- minute drive to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's, 5 minutes to the closest mall. HOME SET UP: Two bedrooms with full size beds (futon bed in the carpeted, above-ground basement bedroom). - Shower and hand soaps - Directions to and information about local area attractions - Coffee and teas - Condiments PLEASE NOTE: Shared space: The bathroom is shared. I travel a lot and am often not here when guests are, so there's a good chance you'll have the place to yourself, but at times I will be here! I give my guests plenty of space, though, so please don't let that be a deterrent if that's important to you (and I'm here to help if you need me)! Children: Also, the house has a lot of stairs and is not child proofed, so it's not a great space for families with small children. Pets: as much as I love four-legged family members, I have a no pet policy (due to allergies)! : ( GETTING AROUND: I'm 5 minutes drive from the light rail and there are bus stops a block or two from the house. Most guests use a car, however, to get around. There is plenty of street parking. OTHER THINGS OF NOTE: Street parking is readily available directly in front of the house. Guest AccessAt times, I will be in the space with you--I'm often out and about, though, and good about being around if needed or giving people space if they want it, too! Interaction with GuestsAs much or as little as they like provided I'm in town! Si estan quedando en la casa, la interacion seria minimal. Tengo una caja con mi llave si no estoy en casa para dejarte entrar. Pero voy a estar a su disposición para cualquier pregunta or duda que pueda tener antes o durante su estancia. The NeighborhoodIt's a great hood and I will have maps and information about local area attractions when you arrive (or feel free to ask)! Getting Around15 minutes from downtown by car 5 minutes to light rail (by car)--there's a parking lot 2 minutes from bus line

However, use of the laundry room is coordinated at the convenience of the guest in this space. Guest AccessAccess to newly renovated kitchen, back porch, living room, dining room and washer/dryer. Interaction with GuestsHome is owned and occupied by friendly, non-smoking professional female with no pets. Although owner runs a small business, she is often around to answer questions about Baltimore and surrounding locales and provide assistance as needed. The NeighborhoodLocated in the Lake-Walker neighborhood, just north of trendy Belvedere Square, just south of Towson and 15 minutes from downtown Baltimore. Numerous restaurants are within a 10-minute walk as well as a grocery store, service station, dry cleaners and movie theater (the historic Senator Theatre). Getting AroundThere is ample street parking in front of home or directly across the street. Also located just a couple of blocks from two bus lines: the #8 (the #48, the express version) and the #36. And, there is a light rail station three miles west with free, lighted parking. Other Things to NoteAlthough new to Airbnb, the owner has been hosting people in her home since 2010 -- the year she started her home organizing and staging business. This downstairs "bedroom" has proven to be ideal for visiting medical students, international students and young professionals on a budget.

The SpaceThe house was built in 1922 retaining many original features but brought up to date in a careful manner. I am continually improving the property, but of course would not be doing any projects while a guest is in residence. For example this summer the AC and boiler for heating were replaced. I think the house has a good vibe; it has always seemed friendly and sheltering to me and family members who have lived here. Guest AccessYou are welcome to cook in pleasant kitchen, store your food in the fridge, and use dishes and any kitchen equipment. Make yourself comfortable in the dining room and feel free to play the baby grand piano! Basement laundry facilities available. Well maintained private back garden for lounging in the better weather.
