The SpaceWe do not wear shoes in the house, and request you don't also (if you need to for orthodics that's fine). Check in time is after noon, and no later then 9:00PM. We request at least 24 hours notice of preferred check in time, so we can do our best to meet your needs. There are extra linens in the closet at the top of the 1st floor stairs if you need any extra blankets or towels help yourself, or don't hesitate to ask us. Please turn off lights as you leave a room (as opposed to assuming someone else wants them left on). Also, kindly unplug any appliances you're not using (heaters, fans, kitchen appliances, etc.) when you leave for the day. You are responsible for cleaning up your own food messes and dishes. We greatly appreciate not leaving food or dirty dishes out as it helps keep pests and bugs away. There are large black & grey garbage bins by the garage. There are large blue bins in the same location for recycling. We also have two compost bins near there too should you want to do that. For long stay guests, the garbages get taken to the street on Tuesday mornings, and can be brought up whenever they're empty. PLEASE do not store food in your room. If you need more for any reason, just ask. Long stay guests, feel free to bring up the mail and leave anything that's not yours on the white desk by the front door. We'll do the same. There is emergency bottled water. Welcome!

The SpaceMy loft-like condo is located in the town of Acton (part of Boston's Metrowest region) and is conveniently right across from the comuter rail (a 2-3 minute walk), which'll scoot you into greater Boston in about 25-minutes. Built in an old church, both the building and my place are unique, featuring an open floor plan (apprx. 1,200 sq. ft.), hardwood floors, exposed brick and beams, and interesting, cool design. I live in one of the handful of units or 'apartments' in the building. The building has an outdoor parking lot. Your bedroom, approximately 9 x12, is quiet, carpeted, nicely painted, and has a very comfortable (low) modern futon bed, adequate for a couple. The room's single window is small and perched high, but there's still plenty of ambient light. Although the room can accommodate a couple, it may be better suited for an individual, at least for longer stays. My place has an open floor plan. We each have our own bedrooms, of course, but the living area is open. An open floor plan is always my preference, aesthetically, but it means we may be in oneanother's presence or field of vision at times, depending on schedules. The town itself is a quiet affluent suburb of Boston with an assortment of upscale ecclectic restaurants and shops, as well as easy access to neighboring historical towns. Concord is 10-minutes by car or just one stop by commuter rail. Lexington, site of the 'first shot', 15-20 minutes. (You'll likely want a vehicle while here, as retailers and destinations exceed walking distance.) Enjoy a peaceful walk around nearby Walden Pond, a stroll though an apple orchard, an illuminating tour of Emerson's home, or a late night pint of frothy ale at a famous historical tavern. This and more. Please feel free to give me a call to learn more. Hope to connect. ~ Steven
