The SpaceWide-plank pine floors; farmhouse charm decor; large dining room; large living room with fireplace; large front porch with comfortable seating; larger wrap-around side/back porch with rocking chairs and a great view of the field and mountains beyond; river for tubing (about six tubes available for your use), fishing, and swimming; 250+ acres of woods with trails across the street; fire pit for small campfires (You must buy your own wood locally. We do not provide camp fire wood, but can refer you to a local source); horseshoe pit; hammock for relaxation; and many yard games available. There is one half bathroom and one full bathroom (with shower) on the first floor. The second floor has one half bath connected to a bedroom and two full bathrooms (each with bath tubs).
Mayunsook Farm is a great location for weddings. There is an additional fee for weddings applied to the $350/night fee. For weddings with up to 50 guests we charge an additional flat fee of $1,000. For each additional 25 guests we add $250. A wedding with up to 75 guests will cost an additional $1,250. A wedding with 100 guests will cost an additional $1,500. A wedding with 150 guests (maximum number of people allowed) will cost an additional $1,750. There is a three night minimum for weddings. Contact me to discuss weddings further. Guest AccessThe whole main house, the surrounding property, and the property across the street. An attached apartment area will be off limits. Interaction with GuestsSomeone will be there to greet you upon arrival, and wish you well upon departure. There will be a caretaker quietly staying in the attached apartment (the apartment is self contained with kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom, and living room), who will be available to answer any questions. The NeighborhoodThe immediate surrounding is open fields and wooded mountains. There are very few houses in view from the property.
The house is a few minutes drive from Clarksburg State Park, Natural Bridge State Park, the Vermont State border, a golf course, and a general store; 15 minutes from MASSMoCA and downtown North Adams; 25 minutes from Williams College and downtown Williamstown, The Clark, Mt Greylock, MCLA, and Walmart. Getting Around3 hours drive from Boston and New York City and 1 hour drive from Albany, NY. Other Things to NoteLimited water, so please be conservative when taking showers and flushing toilets. The caretaker will discuss water usage with you upon arrival.
