The SpaceDear guests,
Have a wonderful stay at our (maximum 4 people) sweet circa 1940's clean, 2 bedroom seasonal seaside Cape Cod cottage (end of May to 15th of October) in a peaceful neighborhood 30 yards (less than a minute's walk) to private beach! It has a small yard with shaded area and picnic table on the brick patio. You can even see a peek of the water from the still green front lawn.
Be within walking distance (or very short drive) to delicious fresh seafood (our specialty here), homemade fudge, ice cream and chocolates, mini golf and championship golf courses, kayak and bike rentals, bike and walking paths, estate sales and antiques, Dennis Play House, Chatham Orpheum Theatre and cafe, Brewster's Outdoor Repertory Theater and Natural History Museum, Harwich Junior Theater, beach yoga, etc. AND it's only a short drive to many other shopping and tourist locations on the Cape. It's about a 1 1/2 hour car ride to Boston, Newport, or Providence, R.I. A trip to Plymouth (visit Plimouth Plantation), or Provincetown (climb the Monument) should be about an hour's drive, and a drive to the gorgeous National Seashore, about 45 minutes.
Keep your spending money in your pocket instead of paying for parking and take the Flex bus that will bring you to Provincetown center, MacMillan Pier, or get off at any of the stops along the way: like the educational Salt Work's Pond. Check out their website on line.
More about the cottage.
Check-in is at 3pm-(and sometimes flexible) and check-out is by 11am.--It includes: hot showers, both indoor and out, expanded cable TV, DVD, WiFi next to the cottage where you park (remember to ask me for the password), books, and a galley kitchen with a full size fridge and 4 burner gas stove-(please be sure the stove knobs are off completely after each use.) The appliances are easy to operate and in perfect working order. The kitchen is stocked with utensils, dishes, small cooler, kitchenware, coffee grinder, drip coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, electric skillet, etc. There are a couple of umbrellas (2 rain and 1 beach) and webbed beach chairs for the little ones, a few fans which can come in handy if there is no ocean breeze (which is quite rare), and a new space heater that oscillates and works well when temps are above 50 degrees.
There is parking for 2 cars. Please drive sooo slowly and sooo carefully-people are enjoying the outdoors and taking it all in...
It's an allergy friendly place too --no pets since 1992- (except when a neighbor's curious dog decided to take a walk through a few years back. :(URL HIDDEN)Children are welcome too! (Although the cottage is not baby proofed). It's a family oriented community.
Please rinse and recycle plastic, metal and glass. I have a special bucket designated for that.
Off season: take full advantage of the off peak seasons on Cape Cod! It's fabulous...
Other things of interest:
Treat yourself! Maybe experience a whale watch, bird watching, a play, the Drive-in Movie in Wellfleet, lighthouse tours, a fishing charter, a kid's pirate ship adventure, the local library and fun playgrounds, a spa day, or relax on the ferry to and from Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard.
There's also a Benny's, Job Lot, the town's General Store, great restaurants, organic food store, supermarkets, laundromat, and so many interesting specialty shops for some early Holiday shopping, (or not-:)
Again, more about the cottage: There are 3 beds-(maximum 4 people). The two twin beds are slightly firmer than the full. Please bring your own linens for a full size and 2 twin size sets for the bunk beds, bath and beach towels, or have them arranged to be delivered by a local cape rental. Also bring your own toiletries. I provide dish soap, hand soap, sponges, shampoo and conditioner, hand and sun cream, thank you or note cards, radio, coffee, tea, toothpicks, band aids, ice packs, hair dryer, iron, toilet paper, paper towels, sewing kit, cleaning supplies, and other necessities).
I want you to be happy! If you have any questions about any of the reviews I encourage you to please ask me to explain. You'll be glad you did... As will I!
feel free to review the local website (website hidden) -it's available after booking.
The cleaning: This is a "Housekeeping" cottage which means you provide your own linens and towels, and clean the cottage yourselves before you leave.
Because I try to keep costs down, and extend that to you, if anything should get lost, broken, or damaged, or there is an urgent matter, of course, please let me know ASAP and before you leave--if you opt not to thoroughly clean and tidy, let me know, as there can be professional services for that at an additional fee.(Although I prefer that you leave the cottage as you find it so that I can concentrate on the details that make your vacation and choosing me as your hostess a bit nicer... And perhap,... even special.)
Oh, and there is a laundromat very nearby too.
need to be cleared by me in advance-(remember, there's a 4 person 2 car maximum occupancy.)--if, for example, you reserve for only 2 and 4 come instead.
Should you have any extra guests who are not stated at the time of your reservation, and who are not cleared by me in advance and at the time of reservation, there is a $100 person fee for the day/night. This is, in part, most helpful to reasonably ensure your pleasure and the pleasure of other guests in the cottage community. :-) any visitors must be cleared by me in advance--
Thanks so very much for your time!
It's truly appreciated!!
