The SpaceYour room is private, quiet, and has a tranquil view of the lake. An adjacent living/sitting room is included, containing a sofa, TV, reading materials, fireplace, small table/chairs, microwave, mini-fridge and a tea/coffeemaker (keurig). The lake is small and home to mostly year-round residents. Nashua, NH and Lowell, MA are 12 minutes away, as is the highway of Route 3. Within 7 miles there are golf courses, mini golf, walking and biking trails, a national park, theatre, indoor roller skating, farmstands and scores of restaurants, and don't forget tax-free NH shopping. Boston is an hour away, and is the borders of CT, RI, VT, and Maine, making us an ideal stop in your New England travels! Guest AccessGuests enter through the front door and ascend the stairway to the suite. Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home on our deck and outdoor grounds. Swimming, kayaking, or fishing is allowed; however, the beach is rocky. Very closeby is a sandy, small public beach which guests can walk to. We have a hammock in summer and an old fashioned swing (see photo), badminton or croquet games if you wish.
The grounds have lovely pocket gardens and tall pines by the shore; the views will make you think you are much further north than Massachusetts! Interaction with GuestsWe really enjoy chatting with our guests and finding out why they are in our area, and what they like best about it! If out and about on errands, we are always reachable by phone and encourage all questions about the area. We also have on hand some detailed, written materials to highlight services and areas of interest to travelers. The Neighborhood"Lake people" is how we like to think of ourselves, as do our neighbors! We all have our own ways of enjoying the lake, and ours is pretty low key. Most of us are 'year-rounders'. The property is not isolated; other homes are closeby. All services are within 10-15 minutes by car. Getting AroundParking is in our driveway. You will need a car to get around; however, visitors to/from Boston might consider taking the train from Lowell into Boston or vice versa.
There are taxi and bus services in the area, and a couple 'pub' type restaurants within walking distance. Other Things to NotePlease do not bring any type of boat. However, if you bring life vests we are happy to lend you one or both of our kayaks. Floats, tubes, etc. are fine to bring and use in summertime. A light breakfast will be provided.
