The SpaceThe bedroom is large and airy with a lot of natural light and a large closet. You will have a private bathroom across the hall from your room with a full bathtub. There's a new pillow top queen size mattress in the room, a dresser, and comfy chair for your use.
The bedroom and bathroom is upstairs, while the kitchen and common spaces are on the first floor. Guest AccessWe have a spacious kitchen for your shared use with us, with fridge/freezer, ceramic top stove, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. Fully equipped with cookware and dishes. I provide free coffee, tea, juice, and fruit during your stay.
The living room has a TV with basic channels and Netflix.
The back deck is great for watching sunsets! Interaction with GuestsI'd be happy to help with anything I can while you're visiting! I was born and raised in this area, so I have recommendations for restaurants, activities, and more. Zach and I are friendly and happy to advise on activities in the area, but very respectful of privacy and space -- both social butterflies and quiet types are welcome here! The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is set back from the main roads. It's a quiet, safe, family-oriented neighborhood with large sidewalks for walking. We are in a rural area with no services within walking distance.
The town has all essential services, so before coming to the house, you may like to buy groceries at Trucchi's or Hannaford's (both located on Rt 28 in Middleboro) or have dinner at Baldie's on Rt 105. There's also Savas Deli right down the road from the house, a local deli which sells a variety of prepared food, groceries, and alcohol. If you purchase groceries, you are welcome to cook at the house.
In Lakeville, you will also find a drug store with pharmacist, a library, a post office, a bank, mechanic and auto parts, and several small shops. We have lakes, hiking trails, parks, golf courses, and tennis courts. Getting AroundWe are a 10 minute drive from the commuter rail to Boston. There is also the GATRA Bus nearby, but you will most likely need a car around here. No public transit is available within walking distance. Other Things to NotePlease note we do have a cat and a dog in the house! They are very friendly but I ask that you don't feed them or let them out. We welcome other friendly dogs, as we have a large yard (not fenced in). Our pet fee is $10/day/pet to cover the extra cleaning required.
There are quite a few lakes nearby, as the name "Lakeville" would imply! Betty's Neck is a conservation area surrounded by lakes and hiking trails which is a short drive away and there are several state parks nearby. There are quite a few very nice golf courses right in town. We are close to the New Bedford ferry to Martha's Vineyard, Middleboro, Plymouth, Taunton, Cape Cod, etc.
There are a lot of families in the neighborhood, so I ask that you please be quiet and respectful of my neighbors.
