Our family lives in the city. We have a 16 year old boy, who is a Junior in high school at Malden Catholic, and a boy we host from China that is a Freshman in Malden Catholic school. My husband, myself and a dog. We live 15 minutes from public transportation walking and 5 minute drive by car. We have a large dining room where I like to have dinner. We have a basketball hoop to play basketball, and a pool for the summer. We live in a very lovely neighborhood, a very nice neighborhood where neighbors watch out for everyone and are very nice and love meeting the students. I own a 3 bedroom home, and a lovely family room. The family room is the room where we have a bathroom/shower, a refrigerator, a microwave and a toaster, a closet, and a dresser. We have two twin beds so are able to host 2 students if they so desire to be together. I don't know much about Homestay and would like to learn more. I don't even know if you offer to host students or adults. I also have a washer/dryer right off the family room that the student or person would live.

Quiet leafy suburb We live on a quiet road in a leafy suburb in the west of London. Our house is a nice cosy "Cape style" home with a nice large front garden and a big back yard for playing and relaxing. There are 6 bedrooms in total, 2 bathrooms, a spacious living room and a kitchen with dining area beside it. A nice bright deck that opens onto a patio that is perfect for barbecues in the summer time. I love baking so you can enjoy some tasty treats from time to time! The area is in a safe neighborhood and nestled between two charming cities (Melrose/Malden). Getting AroundShort train ride to Boston, MA: Once you're at the Oak Grove train station, it's just a 15 minutes train ride to Downtown Boston! Other Things to NoteCheck-in & Check-out info: 1) Weekdays: Check-in 7pm Check-out 12pm 2) Weekends: Check-in 5:30pm* Check-out 12pm *If you wish to check-in earlier, let me know. I might be able to arrange it depending on our schedules. Street Parking info: Please note there's only on-street parking at the apartment if you're planning to bring a car. The Greater Boston area is well known for limited parking spaces. Most locals here find it more convenient taking public transportation to get into downtown Boston. However, if you must bring a car, please see the parking schedule below. Street Parking Schedule: 1) Weekends: Free 2) Weekdays a) 7pm to 7am (overnight) : Free b) 7am to 7pm (daytime): Requires Malden's permit sticker. Parking Tips: 1) If you don't have a permit sticker, move your car to the Oak Grove Station's parking lot, the sooner the better. Last we checked, it cost $6.00 for daytime parking and $19 for 24 hour parking. Nonetheless, please make sure to verify with the parking clerk working there for the latest parking rates. Oak Grove station is just a minute away from the apartment. 2) There's a side street near the apartment which you can park for free. We'll show you where that is on your check-in date. However, it's not visible looking outside the apartment window. So, please be mindful of that and park at your own risk. Building info: You'll have to take the staircase to get to the apartment unit which is located on the 3rd floor of the building. Top floor, beautiful view! Noise Level: The living room windows are facing the street, so you'll hear a little traffic noise during the day. This perfectly normal being situated at convenient location =) Shut the windows to minimize the noise level. The bedroom windows are facing the other direction so its a lot more quiet and calm. Carpet: The carpet has been professionally cleaned, however you may see a couple of small permanent spots near the walls. This isn't noticeable unless you look closely. The stains were caused by the previous owner using candles. Please keep this in mind before booking. We're planning to replace the carpet in the future.

The NeighborhoodVery quiet neighborhood within a cul-de-sac Of newer homes. Feels like you're in the country while only 10 minutes away is the bustling city. Note: We live on a gradual hill incline, 10 minutes from the bus stop and if your not used to walking, it can be an uphill battle getting home from Boston at the end of day when your tired from all the sightseeing. But so far; not a problem for any of my past guests. Getting AroundPublic Transportation couldnt be easier. 10 minute walk to bus stop then 5 minute ride to T stop. Or if you're driving park at the T for $6.00 all day. Then 5 stops to downtown Boston. From the airport, I recommend using Lyft/Uber taxi ride especially at night, it's easier for you because Lyft drivers know the route and they are about $26.00. Other Things to NoteI do allow one small animal but require extra security deposit. Please keep in mind this is a private studio apartment on its own floor and right above that is my home. It is a single family and although not soundproof, is very quiet after 9pm. During the week days we will not be home but will be available for any additional needs.
