Lovely antique property located in historic neighborhood with gardens, patio, and folly. Located two miles (can walk or bike ride) to downtown Newburyport. The house is located in a tree lined neighborhood with antique homes.
Continental breakfast (self serve) in sitting room. Sitting room will be shared if another guest has rented the second bedroom (this is uncommon). Beautiful newly renovated bath with walk - in shower.
I provide towels, beach towels, wine glasses, cooler, back pack, shampoo and soap, set-up if you decide to bring back take out food.
2 miles to 500 acre Maudslay State park with walking and bike trails along the Merrimack River.
8 miles to Plum Island (barrier island) and the Federal Wildlife Refuge (Parker River Refuge). This area is part of the Great Salt Marsh that spans Cape Anne to Seabrook NH and is known nationally as one of the top birding areas.
Newburyport is a unique coastal community with the 3rd largest concentration of Federal style homes in the U.S.. Large homes which were once owned by sea captains adorn the main street with most sporting at "widow's watch" or cupola at the top of the home.
Train or direct bus service to downtown Boston and Logan Airport (1 hour drive).
