Originally built as a farmhouse around 1810, the Nauset House Inn is one of the most charming Inns on Cape Cod. To top it off, it's just a short walk to Nauset Beach. Owned by the National Park Service and stretching for 10 miles on the Atlantic, Nauset Beach is one of the most beautiful sandy shorelines to dot the eastern coast. Family owned and operated since 1982, the Nauset House provides the perfect retreat from the fast pace of the workaday world. Nestled within 100 year old apple trees, each of the 14 hand crafted guest rooms are tastefully and artistically appointed. The rooms feature hand painted furniture, floral stencils and trompe l'oeil walls. Everyone is welcomed into the large comfortable commons room upon arrival. It is in the commons room that guests are treated to complimentary wine, cranberry juice and hors d'oevres daily at 5:30. Just off the commons room you will find the brick floored dining room. With it's open hearth and beamed ceiling it lends an English pub like feeling to the complimentary full breakfast that is offered every morning. Check out our website and give us a call. We would love to share Nauset House Inn with you.

This immaculate Cape house was custom-built in 2000 and is conveniently located in desirable East Brewster close to Orleans center. The one-acre plot overlooks a tranquil cranberry bog and Vespers Pond via sun dappled woods, with a rustic country feel of the Cape. Enjoy modern amenities such as central AC, a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and a living area with a 37" HDTV and a house stereo system. Other amenities include complimentary Satellite TV, wireless internet, and US calls. The house offers 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms tastefully decorated with fine furniture. On the ground floor is a spacious master suite with a private bath and a laundry room with washer and dryer. Upstairs, there are two additional bedrooms branching off a sunny sitting area. These cozy, skylit rooms have a queen and twin bed in each. In between the bedrooms is a full-size, dual-sink bathroom. There is a powder room on the first floor. An expansive covered porch wraps around the house and the shaded large back deck has a gas grill and brand-new patio furnishings. Enough parking space is available to fit multiple cars, or even a big boat. The yard has a beautiful landscape and garden, with trees perfect for stretching a hammock in-between (and one is provide). Please feel free to make yourself at home when you come and enjoy many touches and convenience it offers. Go ahead to use the 2-person hammock, beach chairs, beach towels, cooler, and 2 bikes, as long as they are kept clean and returned to their original locations after use. One of our favorite activities is going shell fishing in the Cape Cod Bay from May to Oct. You may borrow our shell fishing tools but do check out the dates and permit requirements. Don't forget to bring your favorite music, as you can hook the player to our house stereo for everyone to enjoy. For most of the Cape weekly summer rentals, the cleaning fee typically doesn't include the rental of the linens and towels. In our case, the cleaning fee $150 does include fresh and quality linens and towels as well as shampoo/body wash/lotion to make your stay as easy as possible. Whether this is your family vacation, wedding, anniversary, graduation, or romantic getaway, your stay in this lovely home will surely be memorable. Please note that from late June to Labor Day, we only accept Sun to Sun weekly rental. Sunday is chosen intentionally to avoid the heavy Saturday traffic in Cape's summer season. My favorite time is actually late Spring and early Fall when the traffic is winding down and there are still plenty to do. For four guests or less staying for 3 nights or more during the off-season, the cleaning fee will be reduced to $50. Tucked away in a quite pleasant residential area near Rt 6A, the house is yet near some of the finest Cape Cod attractions - National Seashore Park, beaches, Nickerson State Park and the Cape Cod Bike Trail. Many quintessential shops, galleries and restaurants along route 6A are easily accessible. It is also easy to get around by buses, with the nearest stop about one mile away in Orleans. The fare is only $2 each way to get anywhere to the Cape, including P-town. You can arrive P-town from Boston by ferry and rent a car from there.

Other Things to NoteGuest Reviews (from another site): *Karen W., Westborough, MA:"Great views, Enjoyed our stay, kids loved walking to the beach to explore. Great views of the Atlantic. Outdoor shower is world-class!" * Georg S.:"Feels like home on Cape Cod. It's a wonderful house and really provides for a feeling at home. We're a family of four with two children ages 11 and 9. The house turned out to be the perfect spot for us with two small bedrooms downstairs and a spacious living, dining, sleeping level with a sun deck on three sides of the building. The house is fully (and tastefully) equipped with everything you need, and the barbeque grill and the outdoor shower are terrific amenities. We just had a great time at this wonderful place that is just close enough to the beach so you can go there multiple times a day and enjoy watching the seals before and after lunch. We'll definitely return when we travel from Germany to the East Coast next time." *Anne I., Buffalo, NY:"My family of 5 had a wonderful stay in this house. It has the comforts of a house with the charm of a cottage. Everywhere you turn, there are windows, stocked book shelves, and interesting artwork. The layout is spacious and open. It was a great place for my family to relax after a day in the sun. We had a hot week, but each afternoon there was a lovely breeze off of the ocean. There are neighbors, but the trees and shrubs give you plenty of privacy." *Emelda L.:"Best Vacation! A group of friends and I stayed here the week before college graduation and had the best time! The house is beautiful and spacious. Plenty of room for 6 people. The town is lovely and the beach perfect! We really could not have asked for a better house or more welcoming owners." *Anne: "This is a perfect getaway oldschool beach house in a fabulous location. The pictures are true to the view as are the rooms. Plenty of space. The outside shower was awesome. There are decks around most of the house providing lots of outside space and a yard. Short walk right down to the beach and the neighborhood is beautiful to walk through. Kent was super easy to work with, responded promptly to emails and correspondence prior to our visit, and responded to us quickly when we couldnt figure out the volume on the TV one night. Had a great stay and would highly recommend this property and shall return." *Junio Flora:"Incredible stay! We absolutely loved our stay at the house!. The house/location are absolutely lovely. Its a very short walk to an incredible beach, which itself receives very little traffic from other tourists. The house has many games and a great music system, which makes for a fun stay on a rainy cape cod day. Kent (the owner) was also a joy to work with. Id highly recommend the property to anyone looking for a nice time in the Cape!! Ross F." *Anonymous:"This place was excellent! 5 of 5 stars The house reminded of a ski lodge with a nautical tone to it. It slept my friends and I very comfortably and we really enjoyed the spacious living room. The fire place was also a nice touch. Very Cape Codesque. Would definitely rent here again." *Edward:"Cant say enough good things. Nice, comfortable communal spaces were ideal for our family. Lovely neighborhood and proximity to idyllic Nauset beach made for a perfect location. Is exactly as advertised. Wouldnt hesitate making this our vacation home of choice for return visits to Cape Cod." *Ryan:"Our group had a wonderful experience at the house. We spent 4 nights there and we immediately fell in love with the house after walking through the door. The house was about a 5 minute walk away from the beach which was perfect. Also, we found that we spent most of our time sitting around the deck table while at the house. It had a great view of the ocean which we appreciated. The bedrooms were neat and tidy when we arrived and the host left detailed instructions on everything from the TV, Internet, etc. He also gave us great suggestions on restaurants and things to do during our stay. I would definitely love to stay at this house again in the future and recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious house with a relaxing atmosphere in a beautiful surrounding neighborhood." *Marlena: "I and 6 of my friends from college wanted to stay on the Cape for a week after our school year ended. The house was a perfect get away after our finals! It was great to be able to walk to the beach and the house was fully stocked with all the pots and pans we could need. We enjoyed the board games and puzzles that Kent had and the great media set up for watching Game of Thrones before we went to sleep. Kent was a great host. He gave us our privacy and provided lots of useful information before our stay. We all agreed we would love to stay again in the future!" *Daniel: "The house is nice and it was clean when we arrived. Nauset Beach was a short walk, though somewhat confusing to get to. That didnt matter because the beach was great! It was too cold to swim on Memorial Day but we saw a lot of seals in the water and the beach was not crowded at all. It was a little hard to sleep since the house is very open, so you can hear any sound that other people make. Overall it was a great trip and we liked the house." *Anja M.:"I stayed at Kents place with 7 of my family members that came from Germany to celebrate my graduation with me. We were already in love with the place just looking at the pictures. Turned out the pictures were an understatement. The house was so comfortable and perfect for all 8 of us. We had every meal around the huge table or out on the deck. There even was some backyard space to play games in. The beach is my new favorite on the cape. Kent was very pleasant to deal with and accommodating. We have zero complaints and would love to return one day." *Barbara:"We had an amazing time at Kents place by Nauset beach. The house was awesome, well stocked and comfortable. The view from the deck was beautiful, especially with the full moon out. We are so glad we stayed and would love to return." *William:"Great house, and great location. Very easy to communicate with Kent and everything he said to expect was as described on arrival."

Kent Zelle PS: Here is a quick list of some cape activity/area suggestions I send my renters. Airbnb may strip out some websites but I can resend if you book and they will come through then. *Walk to beach (you are authorized to use nauset heights association steps as guests - and no-one will ask anyway) *Also priscilla beach is nice and on “inland water” side. You can walk all the way around the seashore here in both directions (its public property and part of National Seashore), going out towards ocean along shore leads you back to the Nauset Heights Association steps. Priscilla Landing here : (website hidden). Parking in dirt parking area is public. Just don’t try to drive your car out onto beach (you will get stuck without 4wd and air tires down). * The "Cape cod rail trail” bike path (you can rent at many points along path - including right in town in orleans and you can park at mid-cape home center right there). if you go north from Orleans etc. there is a great bakery/bistro called PB Boulangerie in Wellfleet at the end of the bike path. *explore national seashore - many walks etc. headquarters in eastham (one town north of orleans) *explore chatham (lighthouse, main street, fish pier) *explore wellfleet - cute town, lots of galleries, good food. *explore Provincetown - lots of fun. very artsy/bohemian. In orleans specifically: *Nauset Beach / Skaket Beach (of course) *find and walk conservation area trails: (URL HIDDEN) hidden)/trail-maps/ Getting AroundBest to rent a car. Easy biking around town.

The SpaceYour room is private with adjoining private bathroom with shower. The room is beautifully decorated, has a queen bed and a sofa, and is air-conditioned. It's on the second floor with its own very steep staircase (the house was built by a sea captain who was surely used to ship's stairs). However, the room is also accessible from the main staircase which is less steep. Some of my paintings of local scenes hang on the walls and there's plenty of books about Cape Cod. The queen bed is new and comfortable. The sofa is a double sized futon and can be opened into a bed. This makes the room a bit cramped but there is still room to walk around. We have wifi and charging stations for your devices. Outside your windows you'll see a large tree house and we will invite you to tour the tree house and have a cup of tea or a glass of wine with us up there! Guest AccessGuests will enjoy the dining room, kitchen, music room with grand piano, a beautiful living room, in summer a colorful screened porch, gardens, outdoor shower and patio. The biggest attraction is our new tree house which we will invite you to come and see. John's office on the first floor and our bedroom and upstairs office/TV room are private. The outdoor shower is a delicious experience with the breezes wafting around you and the hydrangea climbing overhead. Interaction with GuestsWe are retired and are at home and available much of the time. We've lived here for more than 20 years and know the Cape well. We're friendly and have lively minds. We will make your stay memorable and fun. The NeighborhoodWe are close to both the Atlantic Ocean and Cape Cod Bay, about 2 miles either way, with Town Cove across the road. Eastham has only a few shops and restaurants but Orleans is full of shops, restaurants and a fine library (Snow Library) just 10 minutes away. The bike trail is close by, and there are lots of wonderful walking paths, on and off the beaches. Getting AroundThe Flex buses (which operate all over the Cape and are very cheap) are a 10 minute walk away. We recommend guests enjoy Fort Hill, a large area overlooking Nauset Marsh and the Atlantic, where you can walk for hours. A whale watch from Provincetown is a wonderful experience for some while touring the many galleries, choosing a top restaurant, bar hopping and shopping in "P-town" (as it's known locally) is great fun. Chatham is another popular destination as is Orleans. Other Things to NoteIn the music room our grand piano is tuned and ready for anyone who plays.
