The SpaceBeautiful, blue painted wood shingles, white and black trim and dark, gorgeous wooden floors await you in my humble home in Reading. The bedrooms boast an antique look, while the guest bathroom, of which you will have exclusive use, has a modern and bright stand-up shower, toilet and sink. The common areas include a modern eat-in kitchen and cozy carpeted family room on the ground floor.--In the summer months, you can enjoy a seat on the back patio either alongside the house or underneath a pergola covered in grape vines. Guest AccessYou'll have free access to all parts of the house with exception of the garage, master bedroom and master bathroom. Interaction with GuestsI am happy to refer guests to local stores and restaurants, provide guidance on getting around the area and in/out of Boston, or I can stay completely out of your hair. It is completely up to your personal preference. The NeighborhoodIn less than 10 minutes, you can walk to Reading's cute town center where you'll find a upscale restaurant and martini bar called the Venetian Moon or a cozy Irish pub called Bunratty's Tavern. For breakfast, in the same square, there's a fantastic bakery and a "mom and pop" place with your typical egg combos. Farther down toward the train station there are more cafes, restaurants and salons. I love that I can walk to all of these places and think you will too! Getting AroundA bus to Oak Grove T station (Orange Line) picks up and drops off directly in front of the house. The ride is about 25 minutes and then there's a 20 minute ride into Boston on the T from Oak Grove. The advantage is that this only costs $2.65. Alternatively, you can walk 15 min to the commuter rail station which will take you directly into North Station in Boston in less than 30 minutes. This is a $6.25 train ticket. Lastly, you have extremely easy access to various interstates and highways North-South and East-West for easy access to destinations such as Boston, Burlington, Salem, and Rockport, MA, and New Hampshire. Other Things to NoteAlthough no dogs live here full-time, I do sometimes have a friend's dog here. The dog stays exclusively downstairs in the living area and kitchen, not ever in the second living room or the upstairs guests areas!
