      The SpaceWelcome to the Farmhouse! My family has lived at this homestead for three generations, and I look forward to welcoming you here. If it's winter, you can enjoy the fields of snow and cross country ski out the back door. In spring, the woods are filled with wildflowers and mushrooms. For summertime, walk or ride one of my mountain bikes to the beach at spring-fed Walloon Lake and enjoy an ice-cream at the General Store. And in fall, you can hike local trails to experience the vibrant changing colors! At any season, you can stay right on the property to enjoy nature- simply sit by the pond and gardens or watch the snow fall out the window. There are puzzles and family board games to play inside on a rainy day or evening before bed. Guest AccessThe upstairs bedrooms can accommodate up to four guests with two in two double beds or two in a double and one each in the other two. Or if it is less than four I am happy to accommodate less ! There is a shared full bath downstairs. Other common areas include a front sitting room and a living room with a TV. Since this is a country home on a dead-end dirt road, there are limited TV channels and no Wifi. However, cell phone service has improved significantly in recent years! Check in time is listed as 5pm, with checkout by 9am. These times may be flexible depending on whether there are bookings before or after your stay. If this won't work with your schedule, please inquire with the times you need. Interaction with GuestsThis is my primary residence, and I stay in a bedroom downstairs . I will be available most of the time at check-in to give an orientation of the house, and I will also provide a light breakfast of herbal teas, french-pressed coffee and tasty scones . During the day I may be at work, or working in my gardens outside. We will share the only bathroom downstairs off of the kitchen. The NeighborhoodLiving in Northern Michigan is simple and relaxing. It's easy to engage with local arts, music, and great outdoor activities. Just in Walloon there are plenty of things to explore. -Watch the sunsets! -Visit Walloon Lake public beach and park with basketball, volleyball and playground. -Shop at Walloon Village General Store and other local stores -Dine at Barrel Back or the Walloon Lake Inn -Find a new Northern Michigan read at the local library -Enjoy a time of fellowship at the Walloon Lake Community Church -In winter, ice fish, cross-country ski, snowshoe, or snow mobile on the lake, or ice skate in the Village park -In summer, watch a family friendly movie outdoors at the village park. -Roller skate at the roller rink -Hike the path along the shoreline past summer cottages or use one of my Mt.         Our unit is about 200 feet from of the Boyneland slope at Boyne Mountain's Disciple Village. We just recently purchased the condo and are extremely enthusiastic about the Boyne Experience . We will strive to make your stay with us as stressfree & memorable as possible. We are currently planning to have the condo all updated and re-decorated for Ski Season this year. We are adding Granite Counter Tops, Ski Decor & 5 Flat Screen TVs to our unit. Not only is the main unit available for rent which , we also offer the owner's unit with one additional bedroom with two queen beds & a pull out couch with a large kitchen should you need the extra space. * The Master Bedroom Suite is on the main level and has a king size bed and a private bathroom with a jetted tub. * The Guest Room is also on the main level and has 2 queen beds with the main bath. * The open loft is on the upper level and has 2 queen beds and a private full bath. * The lower level ( which can be included or separated from the upper two levels ) has a large bedroom with a two Queen beds, a full bath, Living room with a Electric Fireplace and a large Kitchen. The living room has a gas fireplace, TV with DVD player and a Fold out couch. There are lots of windows throughout, including a wall of windows that extends from the living room to the second level loft. Boyne Mt. is a golfer and skier's paradise offering the top-rated skiing and snowboarding and golf courses in the Midwest. The slopes and courses are but a minute walk out your door. The largest water park in the Midwest is only a 10 minute walk, as are tennis, Deer Lake/beach and several dining options. Golf, skiing and snowboarding lessons are available, and so is child care. This condo has access to the pool/hot tub/workout facility in the Clocktower building. Getting AroundBoyne Mountain operates shuttles to and from both downtown Boyne City, and the Odawa Casino in Petoskey called the 'pickle bus' because of its color. The Master Bedroom has a King bed and full bathroom. Bedroom two has two queens and the loft has 2 single beds (plus a pull out couch). This is a Silver Crown Resort. While Boyne Mountain is the Midwest's largest ski area, there are activities for every season at Bluegreen's Hemlock at Boyne. Boyne Mountain comes to life in the winter. Skiers can take advantage of 14 lifts and more than 50 trails for all skill levels. Snowboarders can slide and jump their way through the terrain park. This villa offer guests the ability to ski in/ski out at the base of the Boyneland, a ski run for all. After an exhilarating day on the slopes, try one of several great restaurants in the area or slip back to your villa and enjoy the evening. If you prefer an indoor workout instead, our fitness center houses a comprehensive collection of cardio and weight-training equipment.
