The SpaceThis is a very nice, 5 star rated home, very clean. We are located in town and 1 block from Burt Lake. 6 blocks from beach. This spacious home is located at end of the street with large driveway. Reasonable rates. Not a cabin or cottage, make our home your home! Our high-quality home with all new furniture hand-made and hand-carved in Wisconsin, France, Bavaria, the German Black Forest and Austria. Special north woods motif. We have all new kitchen appliances, high speed WIFI and 55" big screen cable TV (basic in winter), free NETFLIX and XBOX ONE. The master bedroom has a Smart TV with free NETFLIX and an Apple TV receiver. Our home sleeps six. Two bedrooms have new queen beds with all new mattresses and linens. Many of the accessories and pillows are hand made by the owners. The queen sofa-sleeper in the living room has an extra thick mattress. Fully equipped kitchen has all new appliances including dishwasher, microwave, stove and oven, refrigerator, toaster, coffeemaker, premium mixer, electric pressure cooker. All new cooking utensils and dishes. Our bathrooms are updated. There is a new washer and dryer in laundry room. We provide all linens and towels. In summer we have bedroom A/C units -- one of the few rentals in this area with a/c. We have a double car garage for secure storage. We provide fishing equipment, float tubes and portable chairs and a cooler. There is a set of men’s and women’s golf clubs available. Our large backyard has a great patio deck with premium white cedar furniture hand-made in Indian River. The deck also has a fountain. We also have a fire pit, gas BBQ grill, outdoor furniture for the fire pit and a wonderful white cedar swing, all made by hand in Indian River. Grocery store within walking distances. Close to downtown. There are plenty of activities close by! Public boat launches within one mile. Indian River golf club (public) minutes away. Miniature golf, rafting, river kayaking, canoeing and tubing, bike rental nearby, close to famed Gaylord to Mackinaw City rail trail, perfect for biking, walking or snowmobiling. Bike rentals and trails. Cross in the woods minutes away. Mackinac Island, Petoskey & harbor springs close by. Great snowmobiling in winter, near trail head. Skiing at Boyne Mountain and Nubs Nob. Hunting nearby. There are several local restaurants and fast food eateries nearby. Sorry, no pets, non smoking.     MINIMUM RENTAL IS ONE WEEK OR MORE This house is an ideal location for 2 couples or a family of 4. Located on the west side of beautiful Mullett Lake it is 3 miles north of Topinabee. It is approx. 25 miles from Mackinaw City. The house has a large wrap around deck, a private sandy beach and access to an 100 ft dock that is great for fishing. Inside the air-conditioned house there is a laundry room, new furniture, 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Standard amenities provided, no smoking or pets. PLEASE CHECK CALENDAR FOR AVAILABILITY We are on Mullett Lake within a stone's throw of the Lake. It is a beautiful cottage, which was built in 2008. It is hardwired floors throughout the house and the bathrooms are tiled. It is a relaxing and quiet environment. Excellent for those who want to fish or just enjoy the lapping of the lake. There is moorings available if you have a boat. We are 10 miles from Cheboygan, Michigan and approximately 30 minutes from Mackinaw City. From Mackinaw City it is a 20 minutes ferry ride to Mackinac Island. We have parking in our parking lot.

        You can escape to this prefect hideaway at our River Bend vacation cabin. Just renovated with updated decor throughout, this Cabin has a fresh new look. It has a full kitchen that opens into a cozy living room with cathedral, vaulted ceiling. With knotty pine walls throughout, it adds to the cabin atmosphere. For the young at heart, climb the ladder to a loft where you will find 2 built in twin beds, with a mini lounge area! Or enjoy one of the 2 bedrooms on the main floor. First bedroom has a queen bed, and the other bedroom has 2 floating beds. One full and one twin that is higher up on the wall. Location, location, location! River Bend Cabin is centrally located on the heart of the "inland waterways" with 35' of frontage steps from the Sturgeon River. It is close to downtown Indian River, seconds away many attractions. You can pick between going to Burt Lake or Mullett Lake for the day, riding down the Sturgeon, or hitting a round of golf. You could even hike or rent an ATV/OTV to ride down the miles of trails. Or so much more! In walking distance from the cabin you will find Big Bear Adventures to rent all your river rafting supplies (Tubes, Kayaks, or Rafts). Also, for a quick meal or your favorite thirst quenching drink, find McDonald's, Burger King, Subway, a smoke house BBQ/ Bar restaurant with karaoke, Wilson's Rivers Edge Restaurant, or a great fish smokehouse. If you have the desire, go to Ken's grocery to make your favorite home-cooked meal. You have everything you need just steps from your cabin door, but when you're at the cabin it has a perfect relaxing setting. The Sturgeon River is the fastest river in Michigan's Lower Peninsula with an average descent of almost 14 feet per mile. The average depth is 3-4 feet. However, there are deeper pools that can reach 5-8 feet in depth, usually around the outside of the bends. The temperature is a refreshing 42 to 52 degrees. Families have enjoyed canoeing, rafting, kayaking and tubing the Sturgeon River for years. Currents vary enough to please everyone: smooth and slow sections for a relaxing ride and swift meandering sections for a bit more challenge. After a long day on the water or hiking through the woods, relax and watch a movie on the flat screen TV with a DVD player and a variety of movies for all ages. Navigation on the Crooked River generally limits boats to 25 feet. At Crooked Lake's west end, you are two and a half land miles, but 104 water miles to Little Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan.             Our saltbox style lake house has three levels and is equipped to make every vacation simply magnificent. The home includes 3 bedrooms on the main and upper levels with two additional sleeping rooms in the walkout basement level. It has a fully stocked kitchen, BBQ grill for your use, washer and dryer, two TVs, internet and an extremely large wrap-around deck with a fabulous view of the lake. The extra large lot, provides plenty of room for volleyball, badminton, bocce ball in the summer months and an awesome sledding hill in the winter months. Small basketball net and soccer nets provided. Enjoy the sunset on this Western facing deck and finish off the evening with a large bonfire in the custom-built fire pit. Our home is located on the beautiful Mullet Lake. Mullett Lake is part of the Inland Waterway, by which one can boat 45 miles through a wildlife-filled, scenic chain of lakes and rivers starting in Pickerel Lake to Lake Huron through two locks, four large lakes (Pickerel, Crooked, Burt and Mullett Lakes) and three beautiful rivers (Crooked, Indian and Cheboygan Rivers).

Autumn is gorgeous & winter is a ski & snowmobile winter wonderland. This is a peaceful village, accepting of all. Getting AroundIndian River is conveniently located off interstate I-75 exits 310 & 313 exactly 30 miles south of the Mackinac Bridge and about 300 miles North of Detroit. It is also on scenic highway "Old 27", the Straits highway & a quick trip to historic Mackinac Island. Other Things to NoteThe locals are friendly! This is a safe area with families & very little crime. Walking, bicycling, kayaking and relaxation are popular here.

This spacious home is located at end of the street with large driveway. Reasonable rates. Not a cabin or cottage, make our home your home! Our high-quality home with all new furniture hand-made and hand-carved in Wisconsin, France, Bavaria, the German Black Forest and Austria. Special north woods motif. We have all new kitchen appliances, high speed WIFI and 55" big screen with cable TV, free NETFLIX and XBOX ONE. The master bedroom has a Smart TV with free NETFLIX and an Apple TV receiver. Also, for a quick meal or your favorite thirst quenching drink, find McDonald's, Burger King, Subway, a smoke house BBQ/ Bar restaurant with karaoke, Wilson's Rivers Edge Restaurant, or a great fish smokehouse. If you have the desire, go to Ken's grocery to make your favorite home-cooked meal. You have everything you need just steps from your cabin door, but when you're at the cabin it has a perfect relaxing setting. The Sturgeon River is the fastest river in Michigan's Lower Peninsula with an average descent of almost 14 feet per mile. The average depth is 3-4 feet. However, there are deeper pools that can reach 5-8 feet in depth, usually around the outside of the bends. The temperature is a refreshing 42 to 52 degrees. Families have enjoyed canoeing, rafting, kayaking and tubing the Sturgeon River for years. Currents vary enough to please everyone: smooth and slow sections for a relaxing ride and swift meandering sections for a bit more challenge. After a long day on the water or hiking through the woods, relax and watch a movie on the flat screen TV with a DVD player and a variety of movies for all ages.                             Located on Indian River, with a short jaunt out to Burt Lake, or less than a one minute walk to DeVoe Public Beach, this 2 story home is the ideal spot for families or groups of friends any time of the year. A sprawling deck and patio with fire pit and grill, and a yard leading to the river will provide all the relaxation and amenities you need from your home away from home. There is a first floor master bedroom with full bath, additional first floor bedroom, half bath, and three bedrooms, one full bath on the second floor that will allow plenty of space for groups. Two king beds, two queen beds, one full bed, and four twin beds are available in the home. The home also comes with six Smart TV's, wifi, full amenities in the kitchen, and a laundry room with washer and dryer. All towels and linens are provided. There is a living Room, a dining area that seats 8, a kitchen island with additional seating, as well as three tables w/chairs on the deck and patio. The new gas grill and/or charcoal grill is also available for use. We have a commercial ice machine available at no charge. No more costly trips to get ice for your coolers! We also provide plenty of firewood for you to be able to enjoy the cool evenings by the fire pit! Air conditioning is available in the summer. Two kayaks are available for use at no extra charge during your stay. No smoking or pets in the home. The Indian River Area: For fishing, kayaking on the lake or Sturgeon River, hiking and biking trails, local golf courses, Petoskey and Odawa Casino Resort and St. Ignace with Kewadin Casino; the famous Cross in the Woods Shrine and with some of Michigan's best groomed snowmobile and cross country ski trails, Indian River is at center of all that makes Northern Michigan an ideal vacation destination and your home away from home. Indian River, named after the river which flows through it, connects Burt Lake and Mullett Lake along the Inland Waterway. Conveniently located off I-75, 25 miles south of the Mackinaw Bridge, Indian River is a place that visitors of all ages will find so much to enjoy throughout the entire year. For winter activities, snowmobiles are available for rental in town through Burt Lake Marina and Indian River Sports Center.                             Now taking Reservations for 2017 Summer Season: Often cited as one of the most beautiful properties on Mullett Lake, Wal-Mar encompasses 17 acres of pristine woods, meandering creek & 288' of sugar sand beach providing the ideal location for the endless boating, swimming & fishing opportunities waiting just outside your recently remodeled cottage. 'The Outdoor Channel' rates Mullett Lake excellent for bass fishing & filmed a tournament here in the summer of 2011. Test your skills catching bass, walleye & perch. A large dock is available to you as is a mooring for your boat. The beach is all sand with a very gradual dropoff. Boats, jet skis, water skis, wakeboards & other water sports equipment can be rented in nearby Indian River, 9 mi. away or Topinabee across the lake. There is a public boat launch 2 mi. away. Mullett Lake is 10 mi. by 4 mi. & 144’ at its deepest. Your cares will vanish when you turn off East Mullett Lake Rd. onto a 1/4 mi. circle drive winding through a lovely and rare Hemlock forest where deer often are seen. Nestled in the middle of a charming bay between Stony Point & Red Pine Point your beautiful two-story cabin sits just a 100' from clean and clear Mullett Lake. Trees provide privacy from all neighbors except for the property owner who loves spending his summers in another cottage on the property. Kick back & enjoy a refreshing drink as you watch the sun set across the lake. Drift off to sleep listening to the soothing gentle sounds of Waller Creek. Early birds can watch deer at the salt lick in the birch grove across the creek. With camera & binoculars in hand stroll through the woods & along the beach enjoying the many varieties of birds & other fauna & flora. Look for shells on the beach. You can feel safe & comfortable in the shallow clear water as the gradual slope of the sandy lake bottom is only 2'-3' deep for appr. 100' out. This lake has been acclaimed by numerous conservation organizations for its high water quality. Glide quietly along in the provided 2 kayaks or canoe & you may spot a loon or bald eagle. Explore the 38.2 mi. Inland Waterway connecting Lake Huron, Cheboygan River, Mullett Lake, Indian R., Burt Lake, Crooked R., & Crooked Lake. Take your boat across to Topinabee to eat at The Breakers or Noka Cafe, go to Indian River tying up at The Inn Between or the Big Boy on the Cheboygan R. for fun casual atmosphere. For fine dining dock at Hack-Ma-Tack (dinner only) or Pier 33 on the Cheboygan River. By car there are numerous dining options. This is ‘Pure Michigan’ at its best. The remodeled cottage finished in the fall of 2011, added a carpeted upstairs with 2 bedrooms & a large bathroom with granite counter top and tub/shower. The rooms are light & airy. The kitchen was renovated at the same time providing new cabinetry, flooring & granite counter tops. In the spring of 2012, the main floor received new carpet, living room furniture & all bedrooms received new bedding. The cabin has zoned baseboard electric heat throughout. The dining room overlooks Waller Creek & woods. There is a drop-down dining table in the enclosed lakeside porch for additional seating & lake views. The living room & lakeside porch have high-beamed ceilings as does the master bedroom upstairs. Large windows throughout provide spectacular views. You may not want to leave your haven by the lake, but for those who do venture forth, there are endless things to see & do. Enjoy an excellent performance at the historic Cheboygan Opera House 16 mi. away. Bike or hike miles & miles of groomed trails spanning northern Michigan. There are riding stables in the area. Indian River 9 mi. away is a popular site to start an exhilarating tube, raft or kayak ride down the Sturgeon River, fastest flowing river in the lower peninsula. Explore by bike sweet Victorian homes, lush gardens, fun shops, galleries, historic Fort & nice restaurants on romantic & picturesque Mackinac Island. See Harbor Springs from the water & learn about its grand history during a harbor tour on ‘Pointer,’ a classic historic boat docked at Stafford’s Pier Restaurant. Nearby Boyne Highlands has excellent golf courses & the famous and exciting Young America’s Dinner Theatre. A large variety of golf courses are within an hours drive. Ask us for details. Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing at all ~~ simply relax by the lake with a book you haven’t had time to read or gaze idly at the tropical colored turquoise water as it rhythmically laps against the shore. You will discover Burt Lake is one of Northern Michigan's largest and pristine inland lakes. You will stay in our charming cottage on the East shore of Burt Lake. You will have a wonderful vacation on 70 feet of private water frontage as gentle breezes from the West caress the shoreline. Our Burt Lake Cottage is Clean and completely smoke-free. It comes with a fully-equipped kitchen. There is a 2-seat island bar for eating and preparing meals and a 4 place table for eating in the sunroom overlooking the lake. The two bedrooms downstairs feature log beds with one queen pillow top mattress and one full mattress. The finished loft has 2 single beds. There is also a queen pull-out sofa in the living room. You have your choice of spending time in the shady hammock, or sunning/tanning yourself on the attached patio or deck out by the lake. You may bring your own boat and use our mooring buoy. Two kayaks are available for guest use. Daily/weekly boat and jet ski rentals are available at various local establishments. We have a great location for power boating, kayaking, swimming, sailing, wind-surfing, paddleboarding, and fishing. Nearby trails are nice for hiking and mountain-biking. Dozens of golf courses are in the area. The nearest is just 2 miles away. Note: Post Labor Day weekend, we have reduced our minimum stay to 2 days to allow Late Summer Weekenders and People seeking the wonderful Fall Colors the ability to rent for a 2 or 3 day weekend. Late Summer and Fall are a beautiful time to be Up North. The lake is a little quieter and the fall colors are beautiful. It is a great time to travel down the 'Tunnel of Trees' just North of Harbor Springs on (M-119) and have a nice meal at Historic Legs Inn and Restaurant in Cross Village.
