Common areas that are shared are the kitchen, dining area and living room on main level. Interaction with GuestsWill be home about half to 3/4 of the time. Depends on our work schedules. If you would like to interact with us in the common areas you certainly may. However, we are on the go a lot and if you want privacy the private room allows for this. The NeighborhoodWe live just on the edge of town, we are still considered Duluth. Beautiful wooded LARGE yard and pond. There is a couple acres between each neighbor. Our neighborhood is very safe and secure! Getting AroundParking is included in the listing. Taxis are available in the (URL HIDDEN) and from airport as well. We are 6.75 miles away from the airport. The SpaceOur quaint, cozy home, (not a Bed and Breakfast, not a Hotel, but a home which we live in), is in Duluth's Kenwood neighborhood on the main thoroughfare on the top of the hill in Duluth. We are just 10 minutes from the lake, downtown, canal park or the mall. The main floor has a gourmet kitchen which you're welcome to use-- full access to the main floor, decks and hot tub --2 cozy bedrooms -- great queen sized beds with nice linens-- You will find we have dressers where we shouldn't have, and things in closets, because we have children and grand children who stay with us at times so much of their games and toys are here too. If you are looking for a B&B or a hotel, then we are the wrong place for you. If you don't mind sharing our space you are more than welcome here! I keep my home as clean as possible but we are not ready to start getting rid of stuff yet so our home is set up like a home...Price is for 1-2 people, 3+ will pay $50 extra for each person up to 6 max. Air mattresses available upon request for larger groups. Kids free. Pack-n-play available upon request. Guest AccessIf we needed to be home, we would have our own private entrance and would only see you if you wanted to interact. The main floor office, and basement area are our personal space and will be locked. Interaction with GuestsWe will be sure our guests have what they need to be comfortable and enjoy their time in Duluth! We are available by phone or text any time, day or night, and have a neighbor enlisted to help if anything pressing arises and you cannot reach us. The NeighborhoodWe are main thoroughfare through Duluth on top of the hill. That means there is traffic in front of my home and traffic noise if you leave the doors and windows open. The positive is you get easy access to entire city. Always open for travel, even in the toughest snow season. Our back yard runs right up to Bagley Nature Center which attaches to Hartley field, both with miles of wood chipped trails (Part of The Lake Superior Trail system) and groomed snowshoe trails through the woods-- ponds, creeks, and at the top of the Bagley hill is a platform overlooking the city, UMD, and Lake Superior! The trails go for miles and include leisurely walking trails or hardcore hiking. Hartley also has completely groomed trails for cross country skiing and snow shoeing in the winter. Neighbors are great, be respectful, as they will be watching. Groceries, gas, subs, pizza, liquor store, coffee shop, drug store, laundry, and anything else you could need is less than 3 blocks away. There is a new retail center with restaurants, bars and shopping within walking distance in summer time. Just past the University. Winter time it would be tougher because of snow buildup and not being able to take the shortcut through the Nature Center as easily. Getting AroundWe are on the bus route but I have never needed to use it so I couldn't help with info. If you will need it, just let me know and I will get bus route info. We have a large driveway with a turn around so you have off street parking and will never have to back into the street. Airport is only minutes away. Other Things to NoteLaundry can be available if we are home, otherwise, laundry mat 3 blocks away. Each Bedroom has a key locking door. Bean grinder, Coffee maker, KEURIG and espresso machine all available for your use. There is a beverage refrigerator in the wet bar/pantry for your use and frosty mugs in the freezer.

The SpaceIdeal for a couple or some traveling friends, our location is perfect for giving a feel to the typical Duluth attractions. However, our safe upscale neighborhood also offers a feel for the personality of the people of Duluth. Guest AccessGuests have unlimited access to the kitchen, dining, and living rooms. Please do not enter the backyard without express permission when we are on site. Interaction with GuestsWe love to get to know our guests and what brings them to this beautiful city. Having lived here our whole lives, we enjoy recommending favorite places to eat and visit :) The NeighborhoodLocated in one of the oldest neighborhoods in Duluth, this area gives you a feel for some of Duluth's memorable history and style. Getting AroundWe have parking in our driveway directly in front of our house. In addition, we are very close to the city bus stop, and a short distance away from the Lakewalk for bike or foot travel. A perfect way to see breathtaking Lake Superior! A note on hiking: As we have had many people curious about hiking and biking near our location, I thought I would add some more information about this :) The Lakewalk is a paved biking/ walking stretch that hugs Lake Superior, winding through Canal Park, and all the way to Park Point. It is very popular and beautiful, but I wouldn't really call it hiking as it is meant to be easy to walk or bike. Hartley Field is full of nice hiking trails, river, and small pond, and is a popular mountain biking destination. That is a 10 minute drive from our house. The Lake Superior Hiking Trail has a lot of branches near our home, you could probably find a starting point 10 minutes away from our house. Lester Park is a hiking area with winding trails and bridges, home to Lester River and Amity Creek (7 minutes away). Chester Bowl, a place for downhill and classic skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer (8 minutes away). If you want to make a day trip, some places like Gooseberry falls (45 min away) and Jay Cook State Park (30 min away) are breathtaking. Other Things to NotePets are allowed for an additional $10 per pet per night. Pets must be supervised OR be in a carrier/crate at all times. There is Duluth Coffee Company (USDA Organic) Coffee available for guests. We have a hand grinder and a french press. The sheets are laundered using USDA Organic Laundry Detergent. There is a Germ Guardian Air Purifier with True HEPA filter in the guest room. When the windows are open, cars can be heard from the room. The air purifier provides white noise and we also provide ear plugs. When the windows are closed tight, the road noise is not noticeable aside from an occasional motorcycle with loud pipes or similar vehicle. City License # PLAHS 16O5 OO2

The SpaceBedroom in turn-of-the-century home with cozy queen-size bed and ceiling fan. The room is also conveniently located next to the bathroom/laundry facility. If you are traveling with children, there is plenty of room next to the bed for a slumber party adventure in a sleeping bag/cot (we can supply)! We also have a memory foam sleeper in the couch in the living room they would be welcome to use as well. Guest AccessWe may not have cable TV but make up for it with Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Fire, which you are welcome to utilize as well. The kitchen, dining, bathroom, and living areas are common rooms. We want to share our home with you while making you feel at ease by creating a relaxing and inviting environment. In addition, we are open to providing breakfast for our guests or letting them make their own if they prefer. Interaction with GuestsOn our end, we welcome every opportunity to interact with you during your stay whether it be recommendations on things to do around the city, sharing a meal together, or listening to stories around glasses of beer or wine! Our casa es su casa! However, the amount of host/guest interaction is up to guest preferences, and we will respect that. I would advise that since there are shared spaces throughout the house, we are not able to guarantee complete isolation from the going-ons of the rest of the household. The NeighborhoodNear multiple outdoor amenities including the Lakewalk, Lester Park, & beach access to Lake Superior! Also within walking distance to local shops & a cafe with easy access to Hwy 61 & the North Shore. Getting AroundFree street parking for 1 car available outside our house Bus stop within 2 blocks Other Things to NotePermit: PLAHS (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) Dog who loves belly & butt rubs. Gunter is a very friendly dog, but due to the instincts of his breed, he is a guard dog. That means he'll bark when you come in the door. If you think that might be unnerving to you or you're not comfortable around large dogs, I wouldn't recommend staying at our place as his bark can sound intimidating. He's actually just shy, so if you let him come to you, he'll be asking for butt rubs and bringing you his prized toy in no time! Fire pit in backyard (great place for enjoying a cigar & a glass of scotch!) Gas Grill

The SpaceTravelers have complete rein of the first two floors----but not the basement. The bedroom and bathroom are on the second floor. I will use the bathroom in the basement while guests are here so they have the one upstairs to themselves. The upstairs is very private and has a sound proof door at the top of the stairs. The room has a huge desk in it to use. I may be here too; and my boyfriend, Dave, may be here also. Guest AccessI do have a charcoal grill and a gas grill that guests may use. Guests may play the piano too. Interaction with GuestsI'm around too and am more than happy to show you some sites. Guided tours for $73 include: Enger Tower, Skyline Parkway, 7 Bridges Road, Hawk's Ridge, Brighton Beach* *upon availability of me The NeighborhoodI live 2-3 blocks (blocks are wonky here), from a beach that is public; but nobody knows about it. We were told when we moved here that it's more of a secret. You have to take a rugged, long path to get to it (leaping over a brook in the process) after parking. There's usually nobody there. It overlooks the bridge and downtown area from afar, and is a magical place. Very secluded, on a lake so big it looks like an ocean to your left, as the sun sets over the lift bridge to your right. You can find all kinds of big rock crevices to sit in, or pick agates. Getting AroundI live right on a bus line to downtown. I also live 2 blocks from the "Lakewalk", a bike path/walking path that goes all the way to canal park and up the shore.
