The Space'La Petite Cachette' is a completely restored historic private home. The main house features a typical creole porch with four hand made Mississippi rocking chairs. Weather permitting, this is a great place to sit and relax.
The living room with 2 large sofas, additional chairs, & a flat screen tv with a DVR. The living room opens to the dining room, & there is a set of pocket doors that will allow for privacy.
The kitchen has been renovated & is fully equipped with:dishes, utensils, cookware, barware. There are 2 refrigerators: one vintage restored Philco refrigerator & and a modern one with an icemaker on the screen porch. Appliances include: gas stove, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. Small appliances include coffeemaker, toaster, crockpot.
The screen porch is accessed off of the kitchen and allows for outdoor seating when the weather permits. The porch also opens out to the pool and patio area around the pool.
The guest bedroom is well appointed with a queen size poster frame bed, chest of drawers, night stands, bedside lamps, & generous closet space. The guest bedroom has 2 large windows & a pair of french doors which open on to the front porch. The bathroom is en suite with a shower/tub combination. We have installed grab bars in several locations in the bathroom.
The master bedroom entrance is off the dining room through a pair of handmade french doors. There is a heirloom French bedroom suite with a queen bed and two large dressers. Also in the bedroom is a built in work station. The bedroom has two large windows that allow natural light in the room. There is an en suite bathroom with a vanity and dressing area with built in barge board cabinets. The bathroom has two pedestal sinks and a six foot soaking bathtub/shower combination. The commode is in a separate water closet.
At the back of the house there is a beautiful sunlit room with barge board built in shelves and cabinets. The barge board shelves house a flat screen TV. The couch is a queen size sleeper sofa and there is additional seating and chairs. Also in the sunroom is a breakfast table with two chairs for coffee in the morning. The windows have cafe curtains to allow for privacy.
The laundry room has a washer and dryer and rods for hanging clothes. Also, there is a iron and board. The laundry room is in the back of the house and can be accessed from the sunroom. There is a half bathroom in the hallway when entering the house from the side door under the carport.

The cottage is located in the historic residential district just a few blocks away is the Depot District. This depot area was the site of the 'on location' 1965 filming of 'This Property Is Condemned' a love story set in 1930 Dodson, Mississippi starring Natalie Wood and Robert Redford.
The Bay St. Louis Little Theatre (Starr Boarding House in the movie) offers productions of popular shows.
The 100 Men Hall is on the Mississippi Blues Trail featuring live blues shows. The Bay St. Louis Community Hall is a multi-use facility and is very popular for weddings, receptions, and banquets.
The Depot District has several eateries and bars which are favorite local hang outs. The historic L&N Train Depot has been recently restored and houses the Alice Mosely Museum. Miss Alice was well known locally, regionally and has generated international acclaim. She died in 2005 at the age of 94. Her work attracts hundreds of tourists to her home and gallery in Bay St. Louis.
There is a new seafood restaurant called Lil Joe's that has re-opened in the original Benignos location at 128 Blaze Ave. The Dedeaux is the same family that had the original Benignos restaurant.
