Dry Creek Lodge is located on private farm property, 10 miles East of West Point, Ms., and is owned by Ed and Phyllis Sanders, who would like to share the serenity, peace, nostalgia, privacy and beauty that Dry Creek Lodge offers. You will enjoy Dulcy, our property manager, friend and neighbor. She is experienced in handling vacation rentals and is eager and happy to assist you in any way that she can during your stay at Dry Creek Lodge. Dry Creek Lodge is close to Old Waverly Golf Course and Old Waverly Plantation, where you can play a round of golf or schedule a tour. If you are interested in bringing your boat, Dry Creek Lodge is also very near the Tom Bigbee river, where an annual bass and crappie tournament is held. The Tom Bigbee river is great for fishing and has some of the most beautiful scenery and landscapes that you could imagine, if you would rather just cruise and enjoy the view. If you're interested in deer or turkey hunting, free public hunting is within walking distance (U.S. Corp of Engineers). Dry Creek Lodge has been in the Sanders' family for over 60 years. Over the past 30 years it was used as a gathering place by the Sanders family, and has helped make many happy memories for the family parents, children, grandparents and grandchildren. It is filled with nostalgic items, such as deer horns and various family antiques. With all that Dry Creek Lodge has to offer, it is the perfect place for much needed rest and relaxation. Dry Creek Lodge is nestled in seclusion and serenity, with no other visible buildings, structures or roads. It is located in the middle of nature at it's best. A true "country" setting, being surrounded by beautiful oak trees, pine trees, persimmon trees and gum trees. There is also a good chance, and hopefully, you will get to see our local wildlife while you are here. Deer, fox and turkey roam freely through the property, in their natural environment, often headed to the lake for a drink. The lodge overlooks a private lake well stocked with bream, catfish and crappie. An aluminum john boat is available for your use, free of charge, should you decide to try your luck at fishing. You may choose to just relax in one of the rocking chairs and enjoy the view from the large screened porch on the front of Dry Creek Lodge. The dining table on the porch is also a great place to share and enjoy meals with your family. If you'd like to venture off of the property, you could tour the Old Waverly Mansion, play a round of gold at the Old Waverly Golf Club or visit the Blues Trail Museum in West Point, MS, and if your timing is right, you can venture off of the property to attend the yearly pilgrimage in Aberdeen and Columbus, MS, the Prairie Arts Festival (Labor Day Weekend), or the Howlin' Wolf Blues Festival (Labor Day Weekend).
