Your private room has high vaulted ceilings, lake views, high-end queen mattress, ceiling fan and tasteful furnishings. The shared wet-bar includes refrigerator with freezer, microwave, sink, electric skillet and gas burner, serve and cook ware. A spacious shared living space with 6 huge windows and sliding door to the deck, has a 31" flatscreen television with cable, wifi, bistro table, and a dining table. A gas grill is located on the large deck which overlooks the lake and is just a couple yards to the waterfront.
The yard is great for kids to play in, with a safe and friendly neighborhood. The wooded hillside across the street and along the lake make for spectacular views of the changing seasons year-round.
In the winter, the lake becomes a wonderland where you can watch the geese take off, or try your hand at ice skating if the lake has frozen over. Occasionally, you might even catch a glimpse of someone ice boating.
Enjoy the spectacular Fall foilage through the Autumn months. Grill on the deck as you watch the game with friends, or relax with book and some cider as the leaves fall.
Summer and Spring will be a bustling time at the lake with people anxious to start soaking up some of the sun and getting out on the water.
Water skiing and wakeboarding rides and lessons are available upon request from June through August. Inquire for skiing rates. Interaction with GuestsDon, the residing owner, is a former professional Hall of Fame water skier. Living on the upper floor of the house, he will be happy to answer questions or allow you your space downstairs. The NeighborhoodThe lake is a small friendly community. You will see lots of people walking or biking the lake road.
The Canoe Club is a restaurant/bar just up the road with great food options and live music on Friday and Saturday nights.
T-Bones is across the street from the Cano Club and they offer an extensive selection of wines, menu and a patio for dining. This once meat market, now a small grocery store expanded by adding the restaurant, to the enjoyment of all the lake residents.
The Marina Grog and Galley is a beautiful upscale dining experience set on the water. You can drive arrive by boat or car and enjoy a very well crafted menu.
For those looking for a more traditional KC experience can go to Porkys for BBQ.
The local coffee shop, The Bean Counter, makes tremendously good food. Their sandwiches and treats are never disappointing. A great place to get your coffee fix or meet for lunch.
There are 6 restaurants within a 5 minute drive and 40 restraurants within a 12 minute drive. Four shopping centers are located within 15 minutes.
Getting AroundThe house is on the northside of the lake so we are a short drive away from I-70, which will give you easy access to downtown Kansas City. We are a ten minute drive from I-470 which can get you to I-435, the airport, Lees Summit, Overland Park. We are about a 50 minute drive to the airport (MCI).
