Guest AccessThe entire lodge and property with thousands of mountainside acres of forest and wildflowers is available exclusively to our guests. Interaction with GuestsGuests are able to call on me for help with lodge facilities, recreation ideas, dining options, and guide services for backcountry skiing, fishing, mountain biking, rock climbing and hiking. The NeighborhoodWe are three miles beyond the last home on Grubstake Road. The neighborhood includes grouse, deer, elk, bear, wildflowers, trails, a forest of green trees, two spring creeks, a burnt forest, and wind and sunshine. Getting AroundAs a remote wilderness lodge, guests will want their own car to access the lodge and surrounding areas, unless specifically on a retreat and utilizing our shuttle transport option.

The SpaceSawyer’s Place has the following amenities: Four spacious bedrooms all on the upper level. Master king suite with full bath and TV. Two queen bed rooms, one with TV. Fourth room has a full size futon. A second full bath on the upper level with plenty of fresh new towels. On the main floor you will find a fully equipped kitchen, dining table set up for 6, living room with TV, half bath, and laundry facilities. Wireless internet, a back yard patio with grill, outdoor table and chairs, and a shady front deck with chairs all round out the comforts and conveniences. Linens, towels and paper products supplied. Guest AccessSawyer's Place is a fully furnished home on one acre fenced yard. Guests have the entire house and property to themselves. Interaction with GuestsGuests are always able to reach me by phone, txt, email, but without requesting my presence or assistance they may not meet me. The NeighborhoodSawyer's close proximity to fishing, hiking, skiing, floating, biking, shopping, dining, plus easy access on paved roads makes it the perfect home base for Bitterroot Valley adventures. The SpaceThis one bedroom unit has a comfortable and tastefully furnished living room. The fold out couch also serves as a queen size bed as to accommodate extra guests or family members. The bedroom has a queen size bed with a full bathroom off to the side. The bathroom is fully supplied with towels and toiletries. Our apartment sized kitchen has a bar style counter for dining and the surrounding windows facing to the east let in the morning light. Guest AccessOur location is just steps away from downtown, yet it still offers easy access to mountain trails, winter sports, or perhaps a fishing adventure. Hamilton’s best restaurants, from casual to fine dining, are within a short walking distance. There is also a grocery store conveniently located one block away. However, if you like, we can furnish the kitchen with basic food items upon your request. Off street parking for one vehicle is also provided. We strive to make it as easy as possible to stay at our property - checkin is easy via our secure electronic lock. The owner resides on the property and is available at most times to provide any needed assistance. Interaction with GuestsOwners lives on property and are happy to answer questions and offer assistance. We have lived in the Bitterroot Valley for more than ten years and are very familiar with the area, be that hiking and camping to the most delicious restaurants. The NeighborhoodDowntown convenience with easy access to Montana's back country. Blodgett canyon which offers beautiful hiking and back country camping is just minutes drive from here. The River Park is just blocks away. Its groomed trail system offers an easy walk along our beautiful Bitterroot river. The public library is kitty-corner from us along with the Historic Museum across the street. We are happy to guide you to the best selection of local breweries, restaurants and coffee shops. Getting AroundOur great location lets you leave your car behind! The WESLEY is one block to downtown. During summer months the bustling outdoor market is just next door. short walk to downtown. The SpaceBright basement apartment with living room, bathroom, and bedroom with a private entrance and shared outdoor space. The apartment does not include a kitchen but a microwave, mini-fridge and coffee maker are in the space. Enjoy outdoor patio with guest grill. Guest AccessGuests access the apartment through a private outdoor entrance. The apartment is locked from the main house. A small patio area is available for guests enjoyment. It is occasionally shared with our young family. Interaction with GuestsBeing an on-site host, we have a unique opportunity to help guests get the true local feel of this community. We would love to direct them to our favorite hikes, swimming holes, fishing guides, coffee shops, breweries, fine dining, area attractions and festivals. Most weekdays I am at the main residence and would love to chat with you about your days adventures over coffee if you choose! The NeighborhoodOur quiet tree-lined century old neighborhood is perfect for biking to the river or our local breweries or taking a morning coffee out on the patio gazing at the stunning Bitterroot Mountains peak above rooftops and maple trees. We are a leisure stroll from the town's sweet Saturday Farmers Market. Getting AroundWe have found that by foot or by bike is the best way to see our town. We can help you rent bikes if you choose. We would love to point you in the most scenic directions! Other Things to NotePlease note that while this basement is bright, it is a basement apartment - step outside and walk down the street and you will find views in all directions but not from your bedroom windows. Also, there is ONLY a shower accommodation - no bath. There is only one traditional bed the additional bed is a hide-a-bed in the couch in the living area. This space is below our home. You will occasionally hear footsteps and family life overhead. We try to keep our noise level down but our days usually start around 7am.

    This guest apartment, which comprises the second story of our log garage, can be rented by the night or week. We are family friendly and children under 12 stay free. Rates: $110/night for 1-2 people, $125/night for 3-4 people, $140/night for 5-6 people. Weekly rate is $655. We Our place is located minutes from downtown Hamilton (walkable to town and to the river) in a quiet, park-like setting in the foothills of the Bitterroot Mountains. The guest quarters features a separate bedroom with a queen bed, plus a large family/game room with two convertible beds, Comfy Sack lounger, fold-up ping-pong table, Wi-Fi, TV and DVD/VCR, Quadra-Fire gas stove, and two opening skylights. Fully equipped kitchenette contains several countertop appliances, dishes and utensils, as well as convection, microwave, and toaster ovens. Under the counter refrigerator/freezer plus separate larger refrigerator/freezer in mudroom. The large bedroom boasts a private balcony, its own Quadra-Fire gas stove, and through-wall air conditioner. Outside, you can enjoy a patio with a small table and chairs and a bbq grill. . There is an exercise room on the main floor of the garage as well as in-door parking for 1-2 cars. The exercise room features a weight machine with a leg press, flywheel rower, and recumbent stationary bike. We are convenient to world class fly-fishing, hiking, backpacking, downhill and cross-country skiing, and a host of other outdoor activities as well as some of the finest Wilderness areas in the US. Hamilton is located less than an hour away from Missoula, a quintessential mountain university town and cultural hub of western Montana, and a few hours drive of Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. In addition to state parks and ski areas in the vicinity, there is also a local ski area with world class snow 45 miles south of Hamilton.           The SpaceThe main Cabin has a master bedroom with a queen bed and en suite bathroom. The living room has a cozy sofa, chair and a daybed. The kitchen and living room has an open floor plan with beautiful vaulted ceilings and lots of windows that bring in natural light. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need. The laundry area is off of the main entry way. The outside Bunkhouse has two twin beds that can be pushed together to make a queen sized bed. Guest AccessThe farm is a total of 8.9 acres with access to Sleeping Child Creek. There are chickens at the farm (with plenty of fresh eggs for the taking!) and gorgeous maintained farmland. The mountains surround the farm for breathtaking views year round. Interaction with GuestsWe are often out at the farm during the planting and harvesting seasons. Please come introduce yourselves and let us know if we may be of any service. Getting AroundThe farm is located about 5 miles South of Hamilton. It is easy to find and easy to get into downtown. It is also near Lost Horse Ski Resort, fishing, hunting, and really any mountain outdoor activity you would like to do!

          The SpaceOur backyard cottage offers easy access to some of the Bitterroot Valley's most scenic destinations including Blodgett Canyon, Lake Como, Lost Trail and of course the Bitterroot River. The one bedroom + loft space, comfortably sleeps five and includes a full kitchen, bathroom with washer/dryer and entertainment system. Two off-street parking spaces are available. Please note that the master bedroom loft is on the second floor while the bathroom and bedroom with the bunk bed are located on the first floor. Guest AccessHamilton Home is located behind our main house. Private parking is available in the alley. Guests are welcome to enjoy our backyard, garden and kids play space in addition to off-street parking. Getting AroundWe are conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Hamilton and the Bitterroot River - 7 blocks. There is also a full service grocery store 4 blocks away. Items available on request include pack and play and stroller. Other Things to NoteThe Hamilton Home is located in the back yard of our primary residence yet offers guests ample privacy and two dedicated parking spaces. Also the master bedroom loft is on the second floor while the bathroom and bedroom with the bunk bed are located on the first floor.

          The SpaceMy DestaNation is located in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley, a nature lover and outdoor enthusiast's paradise. The house is surrounded by peaceful beauty, and pheasants, quail and many other birds make their home in the relaxed setting. The one-story home is bright, cozy, and spacious. It sleeps 4-5 and has one full bathroom and one half bath with washer/dryer. The kitchen/dining room is surrounded by large windows, and the large family room has a ping pong table, small pool table, antennae TV, Internet, DVD player, and sound system for your entertainment and enjoyment. Guest AccessThe property is gated, so you'll need to manually open and close the deer gate as you come and go. Interaction with GuestsWe love to meet new people. We live on the property, so we’re here to answer questions, offer suggestions, and help in any way we can. If we've missed anything or if you have any special requests, please let us know. The NeighborhoodRight outside the gate to My DestaNation is the beginning of the path to the Bitterroot River and Riverfront Park, which has a playground and picnic area. A short walk will take you to everything you need to feel at home including shopping, eating/drinking establishments/grocery stores, churches, and a wonderful museum and library. Rocky Mountain Lab and Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital are also within easy walking distance. For those who venture out by car, there are scenic drives, wildlife refuges, lakes, mountains, and more within an hour's drive. Missoula, one of Montana's hippest towns and the home of the University of Montana campus, is only an hour away. Getting AroundMost everything in town is within easy walking distance of My DestaNation. Bicycles are also a great way to get around and our tree lined streets are perfect for riding. If you're looking for more adventure, the Bitterroot Trail is a bike path that runs from Hamilton to Lolo, MT, and soon all the way to Missoula for a scenic 50 mile bike ride -- one way!           The SpaceThis is a duplex with two units ~500 square feet each. Clean, cozy, and comfortable, Withy Gate is filled with art and charming furniture. With an interior courtyard and set back from the street, Withy Gate is private enough to drink coffee and read the morning paper on the patio while still in your jammies. The cottage garden is loveliest in June, but something is always blooming. Herb garden for guest use as well as a gas grill and picnic table with umbrella. Large front lawn is offers room for croquet. Guest AccessThe Bitterroot Valley is famous for year-round outdoor recreation. Hiking, fishing, skiing, cycling... whatever your heart desires. We can introduce you to outfitters, fly shops, any and all outdoor recreation experts. We can also orient you to the history of the area and help you explore the many historic sites. We can help you plan side trips and recommend fairs and festivals. There is always something to do! Interaction with GuestsI live a mile away so can be available quickly if you need me. I attend to the garden a couple times per week, otherwise you won't see me unless you need me. Withy Gate is a duplex and so if another guest is in residence, you will share the patio area and laundry. Getting AroundThere are nice bicycles for your use in the garage and the Bitterroot River is just four blocks away.           The SpaceThe kitchen is the heart of this apartment. As the photos show, it has a practical and roomy layout. The smooth concrete countertops incorporate a large bar stool type dining peninsula that can easily seat four people. A microwave oven, toaster, and Keurig coffee maker, along with many other needed cooking items can be found in the kitchen. Our main focus in the renovation was to create an “open and well lit environment." Visitors often do not notice that this apartment has only one existing window, yes only one! Through thoughtful planning however, we have created various lighting options throughout the apartment where guest can easily adjust the lighting for different settings; let it be soft warm lighting for a romantic dinner or something more casual as a natural daylight feel. The west wall even has a faux backlit window which gives the feeling of natural light. This large studio apartment measures over 750 square feet with ten foot ceilings in the main living areas. The living room has a 48 inch T.V. and a couch that converts into a full sized bed. There are also two large closets for storage, one is at the entrance area and is great for jackets and outdoor gear, the other is located in the bedroom. The bedroom setting is semi private, meaning there is no door separating it from other rooms. A queen size bed is fitted with a soft comforter and four pillows. The large grey metal (file) cabinet (as seen in the photos), serves as a roomy dresser. The bathroom is accessed through the kitchen area. We hope you find it to be warm and well appointed. We always keep it supplied with towels and toiletries, but if you need extra, just let us know. The apartment has a private outside entrance which is located at the back of our building. The fully equipped kitchen will be waiting for you to prepare delicious meals for your group, and you can choose to enjoy your meal at the kitchen bar, dining table or on the outdoor patio in the shade of the evening. The wood stove is a favorite and makes this cabin a great choice all year long. Nothing takes the chill off quite like the warmth of a wood stove after a day of Montana adventures. The Bear Paw cabin combines a classic Montana setting with good proximity to town. You’ll remember the scenic views of the surrounding forest and the Bitterroot Mountains, as well as the abundant wildlife in the area. Lots of deer and wild turkeys call this area home. You’ll be staying in a quiet area near fabulous hiking, yet you can run into town for a shopping trip or grab a meal at one of our unique eateries. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and a twin bunk bed and crib. This room faces the east and catches the spectacular sunrise and can accommodate five guests. The second bedroom can accommodate two with a double bed, while the third can hold six. This bedroom has a twin over twin bunk bed and a twin over double bunk bed, as well as a single bed. There's also a pull-out couch in the living room. The lodge has an extra warm and inviting feel bestowed by its round design centered with a fireplace in the living room which is surrounded by comfortable couches. The piano, guitar, drums, stereo, board games and foosball table are extra playful additions.                       The SpaceABC acres is a Permaculture Farmstead in the Bitterroot Valley of Western Montana - as our guest, join us in the adventures of growing and raising healthier food choices while regenerating the world around us. Established in the fall of 2012, ABC acres focuses on sustainable food production, healthy living systems, and regenerative ecological design. Our cattle, chickens, goats, turkeys, and pigs are out on open pasture, eating, resting, and living the way nature intended. Much like our livestock family, our vegetables, herbs, fruits, and nuts are grown with the same approach. It’s a mixture of annuals and perennials intertwined with pollinator species, companion plantings, and multi-structured food forests. It’s nature’s way…..a way of reducing disease, increasing harvest, and ensuring diversity for an overall healthy farm. In fact, doing things that mirror natural ecosystems is the focus of our operations. ABC acres presently offers two separate homes for your vacation rentals and farmstays - the Guest House and the Gate House (pls see separate listing for Gate House details). The Guest House was built in 2014. Offering four dedicated bedrooms, 2 ½ bathrooms, comfortable living/dining space, and fully-equipped kitchen, the Guest House interior sits at about 1800 sqft. The structure was built with no VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) both inside and out, which speaks to the underlying theme of healthy environments that pervade the farmstead. The Guest House offers both forced heat and air conditioning for your comfort, complete with HEPA filtration for high quality interior air all season long. To insure a clean, healthy drinking/bathing experience, all water is routed through an iron filtration system then finally through an ‘Alive Water’ system to reinvigorate & re-energize the water at all points of use. On the exterior, a spacious deck is situated on three sides for your relaxation and viewing pleasure. The Guest House is situated in the heart of the farm. Positioned alongside the seasonal waterway (April to October), the current implement shed, and in close proximity to the goat barn, livestock paddocks, and owner’s residence, the Guest House pays witness to many daily activities of the farm. As a guest of the farm, and from the comfort of the west-facing porch, you may witness osprey fishing for trout in the waterway, elk & deer grazing the pastures at dusk, goats bleating in the near distance, the many processes that go into the design and earthwork of a fully functioning Permaculture System, and much, much more. It is these on-farm experiences that give staying at the Guest House its uniqueness and charm. Our exclusive vacation rental is accessed through the first level entrance foyer. This one bedroom unit has a comfortable and tastefully furnished living room. Vintage and contemporary decor blend well with added touches of Asian influence. The fold out couch also serves as a queen size bed as to accommodate extra guests or family members.                           The Look Out Tower is located above Little Sleeping Child Road just south of Hamilton, MT. Close to town and yet worlds apart is this unique off the grid and eco- friendly experience. Built with maximum views in mind, this comfortable and self contained home is like nothing you have ever experienced. The Look Out Tower is part of a 175 acre ranch- so there is lots of room to roam. There is wildlife galore. With (most of) all the modern conveniences in a typical home, we are equipped with stainless steel refrigerator and range. There are two bedrooms downstairs - 1 Queen size bed in one room, and the other has a Queen bed with a European style twin bunk above it. We can accommodate 5 guests in these beds and there is also a couch upstairs for one more person if needed. We will have the solar power and propane tankless hot water heater turned on and waiting for you when you arrive. We have a cistern which accommodates running water including a flushable toilet. We ask you to always be conscious of your activities to minimize your water and electrical usage, as our systems are small but very functional. We believe that we have all the amenities that you will ever need, but remember, our resources are finite. The road (driveway) is 1 mile long and can be slippery in a few spots when raining, so we will need to confirm the weather and condition before your arrival. Fortunately, the road has recently been graded. Hiking options are endless on this property, as the east side borders the forest service. Hunters, this is the perfect spot for you. The public access to unit 270 is at your doorstep. I have included a photo of a bull elk my daughter shot in Nov. of 2016 at 240 yds from the tower! We do not allow others to hunt on the ranch, but with our binoculars and spotting scope, you can see the game across the meadow and plan your hunt accordingly! The Bitterroot river is close by for all your trout fishing desires. The peace you will feel while sitting on the deck of this tower is unsurpassed. You can hear elk bugle in the fall. Wildlife will surround you and the stars at night will fill every window, making you feel at one with nature. Sunrises and sunsets are often indescribably beautiful from this vantage point. Your stay in our tower will be more than just a vacation. It will be a luxurious adventure. We know you will want to return after finding this one of a kind retreat.                           This rustic hunting cabin is located south of Hamilton and north of Darby on Highway 93 on 6.5 acres adjacent to National Forest and the Bitterroot River. Hike into mountain lakes for Trout or Grayling fishing. Walk to Camas Creek for Brook Trout. One room cabin with a queen size bed and a twin bed. Antique wood cookstove for heat and cooking. Fridge and microwave. Porti-potty in cabin but renters have exclusive use of Master Bath with Jacuzzi tub thru a private entrance. This is a unique opportunity to experience Montana’s history on a personal level, with views of the Daly property that continues to be a working ranch.
