The SpaceEnjoy the great outdoors from the safety and user-friendly upper and lower decks. Your space consists of 2 levels (~1,700 sq ft), the main floor with a 360-degree deck and the loft with a south facing deck in the treetops overlooking the lake. The home has an abundance of windows in all 4 directions with no other homes in sight! One of the perks of a nature setting is seeing the stars splashed across the sky on a clear night, and the silence is a palpable thing with only the wind in the trees and the birds chirping.
The main floor has a grand piano and a dance floor. This is a beautiful log accent home and you'll truly love the unique woodwork. You'll enjoy a large fully equipped kitchen and a dining table that seats up to 6, plus 2 small tables with stools for more cozy dining or other activities. This is a kid-friendly home with plenty of deck space for safe outdoor activity night and day, but because of the stairs and upper level railings (as pictured) this rental may not be a good fit for young toddlers. Guest AccessThe home sits on 5 beautiful forested acres with plenty of private space for indoor and outdoor adventures (yet just 1/4 mile from Highway 2 and McGregor Lake). You'll enjoy approximately 1,700 sq. ft. of living space which includes 2 levels. The spacious main floor consists of the living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and entry way. The main floor allows access to the 360-degree wrap around deck via 2 separate doors. In the spring, summer, and fall there is a deck swing and commercial grade mini trampoline. You'll also enjoy the 2nd floor loft where the 2 bedrooms and upstairs bathroom are located. Both bedrooms have double doors to the upper deck. The loft area, in and of itself, is a delight with 2 large picture windows displaying peek-a-boo views of McGregor Lake and stunning views of the surrounding forest (Western Larch, Douglas Fir, Ponderosa Pine) and occasional wildlife. Guests also have access to the outdoor fire pit (depending on the time of year) for a blazing campfire, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, and just enjoying the forest with the warmth of a fire. Interaction with GuestsYour space is secure and private, but your hosts will be available in the walkout basement space, just an intercom call away should you need anything. You'll be parking at the front entrance, and your hosts will be parking at the back of the home with a separate entrance.
