The SpaceOur house was built in 1830. It has been updated with modern amenities while maintaining the antique charm. The floors are a little uneven, the stairs are a little steep, and the bathrooms small. Balanced with these reminders of 17th century living are large bedrooms and a warm and welcoming home in a beautiful setting. We have a large open concept kitchen with seating in the kitchen and dining area, a comfortable living room and a laundry room. On the first floor there are two bedrooms. One is a large corner bedroom with lovely southwestern light. This bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed. In one corner is a gas fireplace, in the other is a tiny bathroom complete with shower, sink and toilet. Next to the kitchen is the other bedroom with a full size futon bed, with memory foam and fiber bed pads for comfort. This bedroom is large and faces the backyard. It is a distance from each bathroom and next to the kitchen and laundry area. On the second floor are four bedrooms. One is a large sunny southeast facing corner bedroom with a queen size futon bed, with memory foam and fiber bed pads for comfort. Then are the two smaller bedrooms, one on the southwest corner, another facing the back yard. They each have one twin size portable folding bed with fiber bed pad for comfort. Toward the back of the second floor is another large bedroom furnished with a comfortable full size bed. This bedroom is connected to a large carpeted dressing room. The dressing room may be entered from ground level as the house is set into the hill. The second floor bathroom is small but complete with a shower with bathtub, corner sink and toilet. Guest AccessYou will have access the entire home and surrounding acres of land. The rooms and buildings where we store our belongings will be closed to access. Interaction with GuestsI live nearby and may be reached easily if needed. A continental breakfast is presented upon your arrival, with breakfast ingredients stocked in the fridge and cabinets along with the coffee, tea and other necessities. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is quiet and rural, but right near all the wonders of the Monadnock region. There is a T-Bird gas station right down the road to the right at Bond's Corner, a CVS and Shaws down the road to the left in Peterborough. Del Rossi's Restaurant is in Dublin, and Nature's Green Grocer Market and Restaurant are right down the hill in West Peterborough. Getting AroundWe have a three car detached garage and there is ample parking in the driveway. Other Things to NoteThis listing is offered from mid April through the end of October. Great food, music, shopping are all within a few minutes. A host of outdoor activities await you too. Downhill and Nordic skiing, walking, hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, skating and horseback riding are all just a few minutes away. Getting AroundThere is no public transportation, but there are a number of private taxi services available. Other Things to Note*Fireplace is for ornamental use only. Hot tub is available upon prior request but is not always in service. Ask ahead. Please bring flip-flops or slip-ons and a robe if you plan to use the hot tub as these are not provided.

    The SpaceOur beautiful, sunlit home is available for short-term stays. It is in a quiet rural setting with mountain views, yet only a few meters away from a town-maintained and plowed road. No neighbors to be seen! Amenities include: large screened porch, balcony, garage, bike shed, barn, patio, acres of blueberries, skating pond, orchard, trails.... PARADISE! Heat is a propane furnace with forced hot water. There is a woodstove and firewood available for use. Guest AccessWhole house and yard with trails.     The SpaceOur guest room has its own entry from outside, a full private bathroom, desk, comfortable chair, Wi Fi, and is stocked with maps and guides for local activities. There is a Keurig coffee maker in the room and an assortment of teas and coffees for your convenience! We are also able to accommodate your young children with a Pack 'n Play and other child-friendly amenities! Guest AccessFeel free to explore our farm during your stay! We have outdoor seating, extensive grounds, gardens, woods, and a hammock next to the pasture! Our farm is also near a lake and is in a good neighborhood for running. We're open to letting you access our kitchen, living room and dining room during your stay--message us ahead of time if you're interested! Interaction with GuestsYour hosts work in Dublin and at the college, so we are great resources if you want to know more about the area! We'll try to make ourselves available during your stay, but if we're not we'll be sure to let you know how you can be in touch! If you'd prefer more privacy, we're more than happy to oblige! The NeighborhoodIf you're looking for classic New England, this is it! Our home is located within walking distance to a town pond, near to a maple sugar house, and only two miles away from two classic town General Stores (one in Harrisville, one in Dublin). We're also within an hour's drive to Manchester and Concord, 90 minutes from Boston (down I-93), and 90 minutes from Bradley International Airport in Connecticut. Getting AroundYou'll need a car to get to us, but we're close to hiking (there's even a trailhead right down the road!) and our area is great for running and biking, so feel free to bring your bikes. If you're up for a hill or two, both General stores are only 2 miles away from our doorstep! Other Things to NoteWe do have young children, so keep that in mind when booking! We are considerate of our guests, but it's the kids' house too, so if you're not up to overhearing some pitter patter of little feet and giggling, we encourage you to book with one of the other great AirBnBs in the area! We have additional folding beds which are used in the spare bedrooms during the warmer months of the year. These are great for children and young adults to use.
