The SpaceOur charming Guest Room #1 has two twin beds and accommodates two people comfortably. In a pinch, we can put an air-mattress on the floor for a third person, but it will be a bit crowded.
The bathroom next to the guest rooms is "semi-private." There is only one bathroom on the second floor which we normally use ourselves, but when we have guests we will primarily use the bathroom on the first floor, so that you will have privacy. And we keep it squeaky clean.
However, the second bathroom is a half-bath, so we do share the shower/bath with our guests. Guest AccessWe have a comfortable library/guest lounge with a piano and wood-burning fireplace, and cable TV. It's available for your use 24 hours a day during your stay. There is also a cozy breakfast nook where we provide continental breakfast, as well as tea and coffee throughout the day.
You are welcome to use our kitchen during your stay - so long as you clean up after yourself. If you would like to have dinner with us, we welcome you, but it's on a catch-as-catch-can basis (i.e., when Kate is cooking). She focuses on eclectic healthy eating, leaning toward vegetarian. Dinner charge is $20 per person (including wine). Interaction with GuestsOne of us is nearly always in the house and available to speak with you or provide you with anything you may need. We'll also give you our cell-phone numbers so you can reach us when you're not in the house. The NeighborhoodWe are just a couple of minutes walk from Phillips Exeter Academy, and about five minutes walk from downtown Exeter.
One of the best places to eat in Exeter is Blue Moon Evolution, a restaurant specializing in fresh, nutrient-dense, locally grown and organic fare. Getting AroundWe are located about five minutes walk from the Amtrak station. In addition, there is a taxi service and a local bus service that runs hourly on Mon., Wed., Thurs. & Sat.
