Located on Sewall Road and with a short walk into Wolfeboro center, this home comes well equipped with 5 bedrooms, 2 full plus one half baths, impressive kitchen and a spacious great room. An expansive covered porch extending over the lake with an additional deck above, docking for multiple boats and a sandy bottom swimming area create an ideal place to enjoy views of town and the surrounding mountains. *** "If these walls could talk they would do so in a quiet demure manner at this lake home that is gob smack in the middle of paradise. Cobblestone pillars mingle with tree posts to support the jaw dropping deck and patio area, and it so close to the water, you can just about reach it without leaving your spot in the rocking chair. There are rules about building on the lake now, but try telling that to this house which got here first. Docking for multiple boats and a sandy bottom swimming are to be had here." *** This property, along with two other lakefront homes that are owned by the same family, are overseen by a local management company that will promptly respond to all inquiries. If your desired dates are booked for this home, one of the other luxury properties may be available, so it makes sense to inquire. This enormous home has 180 feet of lake frontage and dramatic decks on multiple levels overlooking the lake and mountains. More than 2,000 Square Feet of outdoor decking spans the entire length of this ample 5 Bedroom home* and actually extends over the water, affording impossibly gorgeous views of the lake and mountains. The all new chef's kitchen is large and equipped for big meals with family and friends. Outside, this home's private docks will easily accommodate three boats, while swimmers and children will appreciate the lake's sandy bottom area. This home is a wonderful escape and offers ample privacy, while being within easy walking distance of the exclusive Wolfeboro town center. Note: 2 additional lakefront homes available -- one slightly smaller / luxury home and one smaller and more rustic home. *Bedrooms are furnished as follows B1: One Queen Sized Bed B2: One Queen Sized Bed B3: One Full Sized Bed B4: Two Twin Beds B5: Two Twin Beds

The Lakes Region of New Hampshire is aptly named because of the many and diverse lakes in the area. The lakes Region has dozens of lakes ranging from something a little bigger than a mud puddle to Lake Winnipesaukee which is the third largest lake in New England and covers 44,586 acres and has 274 inhabitable islands on it. You can get lost out there! You'll find that the lakes all offer something different in terms of activities and feel. They all have their own unique character. The lakes are what we are all about here. They are like jewels nestled between the mountains and they create the character of the region. And it's not that the Belknap or Ossipee Mountains aren't beautiful too, but visitors and vacationers as well as those of us lucky enough to live here all the time tend to gravitate to the lakes. There is just something about water... LAKE WENTWORTH. Located in Wolfeboro, the oldest summer resort in the country, this lake is all about beauty, peace and quiet. Check out Albee beach, the Lake Wentworth state park beach and the Cotton Trail bike path. LAKE WINNIPESAUKEE is known around here at the "Big Lake" or "Winni". It is NH's largest and busiest lake. Its length is 22.9 miles, width is 7.5 miles, and with an average depth is 62 ft. She is a great lake for boating, sailing, and all kinds of water sports and activities. The Big Lake is bordered by eight unique communities: Alton, Center Harbor, Gilford, Laconia, Meredith, Moultonboro, Tuftonboro, and Wolfeboro. You'll find great shopping and restaurants at each of these ports of call.

Longtime residents in the area, we knew that under the worn exterior was the jewel we remembered. The Berry Cottages were opened around 1946 to welcome returning GIs and their families for inexpensive and active vacations. The individual cottages offered privacy, space for socializing and active children, and kitchen facilities to control dining expenses. Their location encouraged guests to explore and enjoy outdoor and downtown activities. As chain motels became the norm in the late 1970’s, many similar communities died out, but luckily, the Cottages survived. Wendy and I discovered sound foundations and good construction. Sitting in one of our bench swings, lounging in hammocks or gathering in the Adirondacks by an evening fire are great community and relationship builders. We can host up to 40 people at a time… Featured in this listing is one of our 2 person Couple Cottages, but we have 9 Cottages in our cluster... including 4&6 person family Cottages as well. So! Bring your family(s), your honey or just yourself to spread out, hide out or chill out and decompress at this small town hideaway near the crystal clear waters of 'Golden Pond'. It's the perfect spot for your Romantic or Family getaway. Our Story Wendy and I became the proud owners of The Cottages in the fall of 2008. The original cottages’ assets remain: privacy, space, and kitchen facilities. Quite honestly, the location has only gotten better. We had a ton of fun updating, painting and redecorating. FRESH & CLEAN the moment you step over the threshold, cheerful colors & patterns with a retro feel…

There is also a detached barn in the woods, near the fire pit, with a queen bed and refrigerator ($40. extra a night ) we call it the love shack. If you stay with us in the summer there is plenty to do in Wolfeboro, or drive 45 minutes to Portsmouth to enjoy that beautiful harbor town. Boston is 2 1/2 hours away. Or rent a boat from Goodhue & Hawkins, or a jet ski from Wolfeboro jet ski rentals. If your stay is in winter, (and you own a snowmobile) we are in the heart of many trails that you can get to right out our barn door, same with Nordic skiing, we also have a ski resort less than 25 minutes away called Gunstock, or Bretton woods, Mt. Washington, Waterville valley, Attitash are about 2 hours, and North Conway is 1 hour, and Sunday River in Maine is about 2 hours away. Lake Winnipesaukee has ice fishing in winter. But then of course snuggling by the fireplace with a nice bottle of wine, or a hot mug of cider could be as thrilling as you may want to get! Guest AccessThe 1795 farm house, big barn with pub, and TV, loft room, 2 all weather farmers porches, fire pit, 10 acres, and artesian pond, also if they've rented the love shack they would have access to that as well. Interaction with GuestsI try to keep a low profile, but if they need me I'm available. The NeighborhoodIt's a very quiet country setting. The neighbor across the street own horses, they ride in our neighborhood, that's how quiet the streets are. Lots of trees, rolling hills, and lush landscapes. Frequent visitors are wild turkey and deer. Getting AroundI am not aware of any public transportation. But, I have a 9 seat van, if anyone wants to go into town with me, I'd be happy to bring them with me. Drop them off, let them do their thing and meet them at a pre-designated time and place and bring them back to the farm with me. Other Things to NoteThe Funny Farm is also available for weddings and reunions! I have a list of local caterers in the area, and equipment rental companies also. The Funny Farm has designated areas to smoke, but there is no smoking in the home. The fireplaces in the bedrooms, library and living room may not be lit. On chilly days or early chilly evenings, I will light a fire in the main dining room, and in the kitchen per your request. Also the fire pit will be lit every evening at 6pm for your enjoyment. Weather and if fire regulations (due to dry weather) permitting.
