The SpaceYou'll have your own place - a 1950's Frolic trailer, redone in cottage style, with an outdoor eco-friendly kitchen along with a thermo-siphoning compost heated outdoor shower and a woodchip compost toilet. In the winter, the trailer is heated by two space heaters. The outdoor shower is not a heated space, and is not available in freezing weather. However, guests can come into our house in the early evening in the freezing weather to shower. The outhouse is not heated either. Your dishwashing and shower water comes from roof water run-off, thus they freeze in freezing weather. Feel free to pick your own organic vegetables that are in season (few if any in winter of course) for your dinner or a snack, which is included in the price of your stay. Guests may also purchase organic, pasture raised homemade lamb and turkey sausage. We can also set up an outdoor fire for an additional fee if you'd like. Guest AccessYou may use our pool in June, July and August, and our hot tub during the other months. You may enjoy the hammock, hang with the sheep, feed the chickens, or wander the garden. Interaction with GuestsWe are also teachers so you can come when you need to but we'll be home after school hours. The NeighborhoodWe are a farming hamlet in the middle of central Jersey, a gem with great cycling and hiking in the Sourland Mountains surrounded by towns such as Princeton, New Hope and Lambertville. Getting AroundYou definitely need a car for transportation in our area since we are in a farming community and there is no town within walking distance. Other Things to NotePlease note, the shower is a NOT heated space, and is not available in freezing weather. Guests, however, can use the shower in our house in the evening. The outhouse is not heated either. The sleeping area in the trailer is heated by two space heaters which when it's absolutely freezing outside will work the best they can.
