The SpaceThis is for one room with a Queen sized bed in a small 4 bedroom home. You have access to the guest bathroom which may or may not be shared by another guest. I have my own bathroom in the back of the house which can also be accessible. In the chance that you wish to stay for a longer period and the Queen bedroom is not available for the entire length of time, I have a spare room with a comfortable futon for the days that the Queen bedroom is not available. So if it seems that the Queen bedroom is not available for all of the days that you would like to stay, please check with me. I might be able to put you into the futon room for those few days. There is plenty of room in the fridge and pantry for your food. The kitchen, living room, laundry and backyard are common areas. I live in the house year 'round and work from the house in the day time. Guest AccessFront door. The Queen bedroom is at the front of the house. You will get your own key to the house that you will return before you depart. You cannot lock your room separately, but there is not reason to. My room is in the back and the spare bed is off to the side. With the exception of my bedroom the rest of the house and backyard are common areas and the guest bath may or may not be shared with another guest. I own cats, but your bedroom is closed off to them. Interaction with GuestsThat's up to you. I can be chatty or busy with work, myself. Generally, everyone is pretty conversational. The NeighborhoodMy neighborhood is peaceful and quiet and we all know each other quite well. I have a lovely backyard view of Sandia mountain. I am near Petroglyphs, Volcanos, Corrales. Bus rides to the Balloon Park are near-by (during the Balloon Fiesta). EXCELLENT hiking and biking trails directly from the house! Hot Air Balloon Rides most days about a mile away. (URL HIDDEN) (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) Good bus system. By Car: 15 min to Downtown. 15 min to Corrales 20 min to University area or Nob Hill. 20 min to airport 1.2 hr to Santa Fe 5 min grocery stores, Walgreen's, Sushi, Thai, Mexican, Coffee, 2 Gyms, Yoga Walk: 20 min to the Rio Grande. 10 min to Bosque trails and Open Space (migrating Cranes Geese and more) I have rain gear, day packs and hip packs for your daily excursions, if you need them. The SpaceMy modest, urban bohemian home is located in a rural enclave of Albuquerque's North Valley, less than a half mile from the entrance to Balloon Fiesta Grounds! The guest room is small but comfortable, and I provide water and snacks or a light breakfast, as well as a shared bathroom & shower. room is small with a single futon bed. Pets are allowed by special request (let's chat about it & make sure it works with the animals in my household) and fees may be calculated using the extra person button in your reservation menu. I have dogs, cats, & chickens, (none in the room ;-) and am located very near an irrigation ditch & walking trail, with lots of big trees. We share: my living area and a bathroom. You may have access to kitchen by special request - but I can't promise it's always clean. I use mostly natural cleaners & non-toxic pesticides in my home. I ask guest to please NOT use fragrant or chemical based perfumes, colognes, or after-shave in the house. A light, limited breakfast (toast, goat cheese, jam, cereal, soy milk, coffee or tea...) is provided. There are also a couple places to get a New Mexican breakfast burrito, a quick-stop store, or full American style plate-o-cholesterol close by. (Check out my Host Map) Laundry may be available for an emergency but I share the washer/dryer - So I can't promise that. Guest AccessYour bedroom is easily accessible through the east (right) side door, by the ditch & trees. Please park in that right side driveway and pull in as far as you can. Kitchen access is limited, but you're welcome to come out and share the living area to sit and work or watch TV. I will provide a bottle of water in your room and a light breakfast and fresh coffee in the main house. Bathroom is shared, shower anytime you want - I'm flexible. I often have long days at work and an unreliable schedule. Please try to contact me via cell one day prior to your reservation with your anticipated arrival time? If you arrive on the train, be aware that the schedule is limited. See "New Mexico Rail Runner" on-line. Exit the train at the Journal Center/Los Ranchos Station and go west to 2nd street, then North 1/3 mile to Homeland Road. It's pretty rural. Be careful crossing the highway entrance ramps. There are paved sidewalks on the east side of 2nd st, or a wide dirt road on the west side. Interaction with GuestsI may or may not be home when you arrive. If I can't be home, i will leave a key per arrangement by chat/text prior to arrival (hence the request to check in...) If you happen to arrive when I'm not crazy busy, I would love to chat, share a meal, watch TV, or sit around the fire pit in the back yard. But, I do work/volunteer/assist a lot... There is a bike you can borrow for a refundable deposit of $25. I also like to go out and have a nice meal or locally brewed craft beer once in a while... If you get me on a night off we can go do that and I'll show you around one of our many great brew houses here :-) The NeighborhoodMy home is in Alameda, an unincorporated village just outside the city limits of Albuquerque. Check out my "Guidebook" for a few key attractions. The neighborhood is distinctly rural feeling - yet within 15 minutes of Downtown by car. There are hiking, walking and biking trails nearby, and access to the Bosque (river byway). Bus (no night or Sunday service) is 1 block, and Rail station a 1/2 mile. The area can be difficult for bus transportation or late night train arrivals. Getting AroundTheir is a city bus on 4th street, but service is limited. No service after 7 pm and no service on Sundays. We are only a half mile from the Rail Runner commuter train (to Albuquerque city center or Santa Fe) at the Los Ranchos stop, BUT SERVICE IS SPOTTY! I have easy access to several bike trails nearby. (The chamber of commerce and several bike stores have FREE bike maps, btw.) Other Things to NoteI keep a natural, environmentally healthy home. That means it is hygienically clean - but definitely not spotless to most folks standards. I use green cleaners, natural oils, elbow grease, and incense for cleaning & deodorization. Your room & our bathroom will be freshly cleaned, with fresh sheets & towels. I run a small air filter in the guest room as well. I have all kinds of pets, which inevitably come with pet HAIR... so if you want an impeccably clean home, please choose another listing? or consider a hotel room. I am sensitive to artificial and petroleum based fragrance. I ask guests to PLEASE DO NOT USE OR APPLY PERFUMES, AFTER SHAVE LOTIONS, COLOGNES OR SCENTED DEODORANTS IN THE HOME. If you use this kind of product, please apply them outside, in your car, etc.

The SpaceJust Remodeled! "Casita" means little home in Spanish. This casita is a detached studio about the size of an average hotel room. It has a QUEEN bed, , a mini fridge, microwave and Kuerig coffee maker. There is a 32" lcd tv with basic cable. The bathroom is large, clean and contemporary. The house is only 6 years old. The casita is located by Unser and Montano, which is a lovely area. Very convenient to stores, restaurants and attractions. It's only fifteen minutes to old town and balloon park, twenty minutes to UNM and uptown and 25 minutes to the airport. Fifteen minutes to Rio Rancho. Please keep in mind that Albuquerque is quite spread out so really, wherever you are you're bound to be close to some attractions but far from other's. We love having dogs as our guest. Please inquire about pet limitations. Pet cleaning fee $25. This is a Non-Smoking home. Guest AccessThe casita has a private entry. Parking is on the street, usually right in front. Interaction with GuestsVery minimal. There is a lock box on the door, however, myself or my housekeeper is available should you need help. The NeighborhoodThere is a park a few blocks away. At the park you'll also find a dog park area and a library. We are walking distance to the Petroglyphs, which are fun to go and see. There are stores, restaurants, churches and medical services all very close to the home. Getting AroundThere is public transportation close to the casita, unfortunately our bus system is quite inconvenient.

The SpaceThis is the ideal sweet house for a memorable stay in ABQ. Our lovely casita is a mid-century gem right in the heart of the North Valley with easy access to the entire city. Many of Albuquerque’s best sights and experiences are nearby, including Old Town with its beautiful plaza and cute shops; a great cafe and bookstore up the street; and summer biking and walks along the river. There are several American Indian pueblos within 1-2 hours drive, and there are ceremonial dances at different times during the summer. Newly updated by a talented designer/builder, this 2 BR/1BA house has a brand-new kitchen with nice appliances completely stocked for cooking and baking. Large master bedroom has a comfortable king-sized bed, teak dresser, reading chair and loads of closet space. Second bedroom has a comfortable twin bed, computer desk and chair and a decent closet. A futon couch in the living room folds out to a comfy double bed too. Very nice amenities, including cotton sheets, bamboo towels, crystal wine glasses, original art, colorful accents and nice furniture. New windows and insulation provide coolness and quiet. Right out the front door you have easy access to open space, the Rio Grande State Park and Rio Grande river, shopping, and restaurants. The house comes equipped with computer wireless, a flat-screen TV with DVD player and Roku (HuluPlus, Netflix, Pandora, etc.), washer and dryer, and off-street parking. There's also decent public transit nearby if you are here without a car. Access to airport, train to Santa Fe and freeways is easy. Great for corporate or film industry stays. LGBT friendly. I'm a Native New Mexican and live close by, so this is my neighborhood too and I love it! I am happy to give you lots of ideas of things to see/do in ABQ and throughout New Mexico, including great restaurants, museums, cinema, theater, hiking, walking, scenic drives, and visits to Santa Fe, Taos, Truth or Consequences, Silver City, Las Cruces and various American Indian Pueblos. Guest AccessGuests have access to the casita and the front porch, an enclosed and private side patio and big back yard. Great areas to sit outside and relax with a beer, glass of wine or a cup of tea. Quiet, comfortable and serene Interaction with GuestsWe are happy to meet with guests when they arrive OR to leave them keys with instructions. We live in the neighborhood a few blocks away, so we are available but never invade the privacy of our guests. The NeighborhoodThe near north valley of ABQ is wonderful - rural, historic character and close to EVERYTHING you need, ranging from shopping, restaurants and touristy things to do to quiet open space and green beauty. Most of our neighbors are home owners and it's wonderful living in a neighborhood where we say hello on a regular basis (also makes for a safe and quiet area!). Getting AroundPublic transit available - close to express bus lines. Easy to bike and walk to many destinations too. Other Things to NoteKing sized bed is memory foam. But very comfortable we hear...
