The SpaceThe Ocean of Pine Room features a cathedral style ceiling with window views of woodland deer. You'll sleep like a dream on this lovely queen bed. Twin window bed is perfect for your friend or child. Flat screen television has Roku access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, news, and other channels. Hot beverage supplies in each room. Shared bath when second rental room is booked. Guest AccessMake yourself at home in the sunken living room featuring large fireplace, piano, and surround picture windows looking toward our 12,000 ft. peak, Sierra Blanca. Burl stump end tables made from the tree under which Billy the Kid sang to his lover, Dulcuiea Del Toboso. Throughout the house you will see the special paintings by my grandparents, and other lovely works of art from the gallery that we owned for many years. Many of the books have been handed down through generations, and include genres of mystery, classic literature, politics, Jungian psychology, world religions, and mythic narrative. The peacock feathers featured throughout the house were gathered over a hundred years ago from my great uncle's farm. The charming kitchen sports a lovely fireplace and island which seats six should you want to heckle the cook. Outdoor patio has Mexican chiminea for cozy fires whether lounging for your morning coffee or enjoying the night air. Wifi reaches throughout the house and onto the patio. * Driveway is steep, but has served us for over 30 years, and is best confidently approached in low gear. Our family home is known throughout the area as particularly unique, and has provided a lovely retreat for many beloved guests throughout the years. Downstairs basement is off limits. The Bogyman lives down there. Interaction with GuestsI'm happy to hermit myself away if you're looking for a refuge and special solitude. However, as my time allows, if you prefer a hostess who fusses and mothers, just let me know. I'll be available on site during your stay should you need anything. The NeighborhoodWe were the second house on the hill when my family built this home in 1978. The neighborhood overlooks the schools, though the property is fairly private and wooded. The deer seem to think my property is a day spa to work on their tans, and there are usually 5-20 deer each day that wander or lounge about outside the windows. Summer birds include bluejays, hummers, woodpeckers, nuthatches, and others. Getting AroundAfter only a five minute drive from the house to "Midtown," you can wander through a wide variety of shopping, restaurants, pubs, and art museums. The Inn of the Mountain Gods hotel, mountain golf course, and casino is about a 15 minute drive south of the house. Horse racing season runs throughout the summer and the Cowboy Symposium and Octoberfest occur in October. Enjoy beautiful views, hiking trails, horseback riding, and other local activities and events. Lincoln County Transit, available during the day, will transport you from any location within city limits for $2.00 each way! There is an Enterprise car rental agency in town. Other Things to NoteI'm free with snacks, fresh homemade bread, lemonade, tall refreshing glasses of ice tea or smoothies, coffee or a nice cup of hot tea. If you'd like a home cooked meal or would like to barbeque on the patio, that can be arranged. I'm happy to provide information about the area when you arrive, (tourist pamphlets available). If you want to just hang out, there's a great collection of puzzles and board games (Masterpiece, National Park Monopoly, Scrabble, Fact or Crap, and many more). Computer, printer, digital projector and other items may be available upon request. As this is a split level home with steps, those with mobility issues may not find this a good fit.

The SpaceKnotty pine, breakfast bar, 2 fireplaces. Tastefully decorated Southwest style, two queen beds, a king size bed in the master bedroom, and a sofa sleeper. The kitchen has to be the keystone of this property, the cabin was once owned by the owner and chef of Ruidoso's only 5 star restaurant, granite counter tops professional range, maple cabinets, is to die for! This cabin is charming, relaxing and accommodating sleeping eight. Newly refurbished and fully furnished with a flat screen TV in the living room and another flat acreen in the master, WiFi, fenced back yard ( bring your pet) and modern appliances. This cabin is nestled in the pines. (80 foot 300 years old pine) You can relax and sip your coffee and watch the deer, elk, turkey and sometimes a bear might cross the street. Ruidoso is 'The' Destination spot in New Mexico. We might not be as well known as Taos and Santa Fe but we have more to offer than both. We have skiing at Ski Apache (3300 vert feet), The world's richest Quarter Horse Race 'The All American Futurity', world class golf at the 'Inn of the Mountain Gods', 3 Casinos, Peter Hurd, Gordon Snidow and many more artist and art, The 'Spencer Theater' with off Broadway Shows and live theater, Hunting/Fishing/Sightseeing/Museums and let us not forget 'Billy the Kid' Lincoln County has this and much more to offer. The cabin is right on Carrizo Canyon Rd. The road to the Inn of the Mountain Gods. ( 3 minutes ) Four wheel drive is not needed but as you can see from the photos the cabin is not suited for the elderly or handicapped. Minimum age to rent this cabin is 25 years of age or older I am Dr McMinn, I own this, another rental on Cree Meadows Country Club and Adobe Day Spa and Chiropractic. Come and enjoy the Mountains. See you here..... Guest AccessAccess the whole house. Interaction with GuestsMy office is just down the street, 2 blocks away. Adobe Day Spa & Chiropractic. (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) The NeighborhoodThe cabin was owned by a chef that had Ruidoso's only 5 star restaurant, wine store and a vineyard in Deming. His touch to the cabin was an upgrade kitchen with Maple cabinets, granite counter tops and as you see in the photos a professional range. The cabin has been stuccoed with new vinyl windows and is well insulated. The knotty pine ads the old Ruidoso touch. The cabin is on a well so no chlorine in the water! Getting AroundConcert goers will love this location! After concerts at the Inn, getting home can be tricky, this cabin is less than 2 blocks from the reservation line. Just a very short drive and your home, safe and sound. Ruidoso is spread out, there is taxis service but limited. Inn of the Mountain Gods can provide a shuttle but you would have to contact them (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). Unlike my other nightly rental you will probably need a car to get around. But don't be fooled by the location on the map, the downtown area of Ruidoso is only less than a 5 minute drive. Also Grindstone lake is less than 5 minutes and of course Mescalero lake is at the Inn, less than 5 minutes away. Other Things to NoteIf you notice the "Entrance" it is not suited for wheelchair or elderly people. There is a side trail but it is rather steep also. Sorry. Also, you may need a four wheel drive if there is a big snow storm. Ruidoso is at 6800 ft. During big snow storms you may need a 4x4 to get around town also. There is a shuttle that goes from the Inn of the Mountain Gods to the ski area, they will stop at the cabin upon request.

My house is approximately 1700 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and sleeps twelve people. The Living Room, Dining Area, Kitchen and Den is all open so it is great for a family or friends, but at night you can have privacy in the bedrooms. I have two fold out couches in the Living Room and Den. I have a nice size deck on the front that has a beautiful view of Sierra Blanca. My neighborhood is quiet and have some wildlife-deer for sure (bring apples), turkeys, an occasional bear and if you are really lucky, you will have an elk (like the one in my photos). Downtown is about a mile from the house so you can venture to downtown, do some shopping, get a bite to eat at CafĂŠ Rio (Pizza), Flaming Grill (Philly Cheese Steaks) or a beer at WPS (local bar). Inn of the Mountain of God which is about 15 minutes from the house has good food, piano bar and gambling. There are several golf courses in town, just minutes from the house. During the summer, the horseraces are going. There is also horseback riding, putt putt, swimming, fishing, hiking or venture to one of the other towns nearby. Carrizozo has a few art galleries, Capitan is known for Smokey Bear Museum, Billy the Kid made Lincoln famous and don't miss the Raspberry farm at Lincoln also. Spencer Theater is about 20 minutes from the house and has live entertainment with a gorgeous view of Sierra Blanca. If you just want to relax then my house is the place to be. During the summer the Hummingbirds are busy at my place. I do have a couple feeders so you are more than welcomed to feel them up and watch them (a cup water to 1/4 cup sugar). I had a red shirt on once while I was sitting on my deck-I quickly changed! Stay two nights for the price of $520.00, add one more night for $100, each night after that is $75. Cleaning is included in the $520.00. I have my refundable deposit of $70.00 but you leave the house picked up etc and I will return your deposit minus credit card fees. My house is located about a mile from downtown. It is a not so bad hike down to town but going back up is about 45 degrees. It is good for your legs and butt-what else can I say! My house is located in great place-quiet. Hopefully, you will be able to enjoy the wildlife while you are there. The deer ask that you bring apples! I have about three to four parking places in the back and that is the place to park. Winter: Ski Apache is approximately 20 to 25 miles from the house. There is a tubing area on the way to the slopes, about 15 minutes away. Summer: Hiking all around, Fishing at Grindstone Lake and Inn of the Mountain of God Lake. Ruidoso Downs Racetrack opens Memorial Week-end to Labor Day. Casinos are located at Ruidoso Downs Racetrack, Inn of the Mountain God Casino (two locations). Public Swimming Pool located on Sudderth, open in the summer.

At night during the Christmas season, the drive up to your Condo is brilliantly lite with all manor of lights and decorations. Lots of traffic including horse drawn carriages looking at the lights. For the months of February and March you can enjoy a price of $160 per night, a discount to our regular price of $180 per night. (Please ask us about our extended stay discounts.) WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT! We have structured this condo to be very cozy and comfortable after your long day skiing, golfing, hiking, biking, zip lining, horseback riding, horse racing, gambling, and shopping. There is nothing rustic about this condo, we want your experience to be very luxurious and comfortable. If you book 3 days or more you will be greeted with a chilled bottle of The Relleno Brothers Besito Caliente, a hot little kiss of a grape wine with chile peppers added, from Ruidoso's own local winery, Noisy Water Winery, which is located downtown. This is a place you must go when you visit Ruidoso. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! You are walking distance from downtown Ruidoso, Thriftway Grocery, and also located on the 11th green of Cree Meadows Golf Course. You will not have to drive downtown, look for a parking place, and then risk the drive home after having a glass of wine. Also very close to Ski Apache, not even one block off of Mechem Dr. which puts us 12 miles to the Shell Station which is the turn to go to the ski area. It is a very easy 12 mi. on a good 2-4 lane street with good shoulders. That puts you about 45 minutes to the top of the mountain depending on the weather and condition of the roads. LUXURY, LUXURY, LUXURY! You walk in the door and are greeted by new carpet throughout, a deep brown US-AAA solid leather couch, chair, ottoman, and electric recliner purchased from Miller Waldrop, our local “very classy and luxurious” furniture store. Electric fireplace which you turn on with a click of a remote control. (No having to purchase firewood and starter, carry it up the stairs, and spend time lighting it.) You also have WI-FI, HD channels, and Baha Cable with LED TV’s in each room equipped with DVD players. Both bathrooms have been remodeled and you will get a small bar of soap from our special local soap maker, Simply Soap and Satin, located downtown Ruidoso. They have wonderful soaps, lotions, and creams, which some are made with goat’s milk. Another Ruidoso favorite. The bedrooms have 650 count sheets and pillow cases with Sleep for Success pillows by Dr. James B. Maas as found in Bed, Bath and Beyond, down alternative comforters, and very plush blankets which are on top of a brand new Sealy Pillow Top queen mattress in the 2nd bedroom and a Therapeutic 3” Memory Foam, Memory Touch Supreme topper, on the Master Bedroom King size bed. The towels are “Luxury Hotel” oversized and all cotton. There is a lighted makeup mirror in the master bedroom and hair dryers in both baths. Each bed has luxurious comforter or duvet cover and luxuries euro pillows, pillow shames and decorator pillows. The kitchen has new leaded glassware, including wine glasses, martini, highball, and rocks. There is new flatware, dishes, cutlery, and cookware to hopefully help you make your own remarkable dishes. There is available for your use, all new, Cuisinart blender, small Cuisinart electric chopper, Crock Pot slow cooker, toaster, and all kinds of cooking utensils including a Houdini lever corkscrew. There is a community charcoal grill close to the #21 condo. Just down on the ground level and one condo away. There are grilling utensils in the condo to make your outside grilling a pleasant experience. PERSONAL SHOPPER AND DAILY MAID SERVICE AVAILABLE! We can offer you a personal shopper service to stock the condo with your desired grocery’s and liquors. No need to go to the grocery store and spend hours shopping with everyone else there doing the same thing and not knowing where to find anything. We wasted 2 hours doing that very same thing the last time we were in Ruidoso. We also offer a daily maid service to come in and make the beds, clean the kitchen and baths, and put out fresh towels every day if desired. Both services will be an extra charge. ENJOYING THE WILDLIFE! We took all of the pictures of the deer within a quarter of a block of the condo and most on the 13th hole green which can be seen from the right corner of the deck in front of the condo, they seem to hang out there a lot of the time. The exception is a picture that was taken in downtown Ruidoso. Please drive slowly down the streets of Ruidoso because the deer will just decide to cross the street at any time. They are one of the many things that makes Ruidoso such a memorable experience! This condo is located at Fairway Meadows Condominiums, which is a small, quite area located in walking distance of downtown. You walk downtown and enjoy the fresh mountain air, a little exercise, shopping, dining, and having a couple glasses of wine without having to worry about driving home.

This is a special place. Take advantage of our fall special or book your Winter or Summer vacation NOW to ensure you get the dates you want. We have special rates for the fall, spring and all midweek dates. Come on out while this special is in effect. All I ask is that you provide me with some constructive feedback so we can make this property even more wonderful than it already is. This is an authentic log cabin that has survived the years right in the heart of Mid-town Ruidoso! Don't choose this if you want to be alone in the middle of the woods. Choose this cabin if you want the ultimate in convenience to all the shops, bars and restaurants of Mid-town Ruidoso while being able to go out your back door and play in the river and enjoy the fascinating parade of wildlife going by. THE CABIN: I have tried to determine when this cabin was built, but have not yet been successful. When you drive up to this cabin, you can imagine how Ruidoso was in the '50s and '60s when it became known as “The Playground of the Southwest”. If these walls could talk, oh, the stories they could tell. Over the years this cabin has undergone numerous repairs and remodels and today it stands as a reminder of the past while also showing off as a gem of modern technology. The windows have been there for a while and most are stuck from all the coats of paint, but they are reflective of the period. When you enter the cabin the living room and the kitchen greet you with lovely colors and a décor that is reminiscent of the period during which the cabin was built. There are a few modern touches, like the flat screen TV and the electric fireplace. Maybe one day I will figure out how to integrate a dishwasher in the mix, but until then please enjoy the charm of the 1950s. The path from this area to the master bedroom is either through the kitchen or the bathroom. The floor plan is really simple. That's how they built 'em back then. The bedroom is comfy and warm. The knotty pine paneling provides a authentic log cabin feel. Just relax in the comfy king bed with the retro quilt and if the temperature is right, open the window and let the sound of the Rio Ruidoso lull you to sleep.Oh did somebody say AIR CONDITIONING? The main floor of the cabin has complete climate control provided by two window units. One in the master bedroom and one in the living room. They are capable of providing heat as well as air conditioning that will flat freeze you out of there if you want it to! Next we go back out the front door and to the BUNK HOUSE basement which is under the north end (furthest from the street) of the house. As you enter the basement door you find the bunkhouse. The two twin beds are really comfy and the décor is right off the ranch! This recently remodeled area of the house also contains the washer / dryer. Be careful of your head if you are a tall person. This is a unique and fantastic area which will create lasting memories of adventure and independence for your children. Please understand this is not a place for children that need to be in a bedroom next to yours. This area has its own “front door” and no bathroom. In my personal opinion I think this is a great space for ages 11 and up, but you should plan on the younger children being upstairs on the fold-out. THE PARKING: Oh this is the secret sauce. 95% of the time parking is not a problem. You can park in the public lot anytime night or day. It is just to the west of the cabin. I will put a parking pass in the form of a postcard in the cabin for you. With that you can park one vehicle in front of 221 Rio which is right next door (east side). You see most times in Ruidoso the public parking lot is not quite full, but during holidays and special events, parking is indeed at a premium, so it's really nice to have that private parking space. MID-TOWN: This is where the action is. Restaurants, bars, shops, it is all within a short walk of your front door. No DUI's while staying here. You can Rock and Roll at Quarters or Country and Western dance at WPS (Win Place or Show). You can close the place down and walk home. You have a choice of five of the best restaurants in Ruidoso within a two block walk. You have some of the most amazing clothes shops within two blocks. For wine and desert there is an amazing cupcake shop and a lovely selection of wine to taste and take home. THE BACKDOOR: Every coin has two sides and this is no exception. You have all the fun and excitement of Mid-town out your front door, and all the peace and quiet of nature out your back door. Yes, there is a little grey area in the middle, the rest of the tourists that are parking in the public lot can look at you in the yard relaxing – just remember that they are just jealous. We put a nice curtain on the hot tub to afford you some needed privacy! Back to Nature awaits you out the back door. We have a lovely porch with a great view of the river and plenty of comfy furniture to sit on. Rates subject to change without notice. BRAND NEW HOT TUB IS HERE! EXPANDED HOT TUB DECK!
