The SpaceWelcome to my awesome country home. It's a cozy cottage near Chatham village with great activities nearby. I'm not a professional hotelier, so please understand if things aren't perfect. Think of it as your friend's really cool house in the country that you can have lots of fun in, except I don't know you and you're paying me. This is how I help pay the bills on the house, but I also enjoy hosting guests. After your visit, I hope you love this house and the surrounding area as much as I do. There are some kayaks and spare bicycles you may also use, but you are responsible for returning them in the same condition you got them. There is no cable TV, but there is a Blu-ray player and a streaming device with Netflix and some other streaming channels. Interaction with GuestsI will do my best to meet you personally to show you around the house. If you let me know your interests and the purpose of your visit, I'll help with some suggestions. Within an hour's drive is hiking, drive-in movies, bowling, skiing, and cycling. Hudson is 20 minutes away. Getting AroundParking in the driveway is allowed (town does not allow parking on the road). Parking in town plentiful. Hudson 20 min drive Great Barrington 30 min drive Lenox 30 min drive Other Things to NoteIMPORTANT: This beautiful town of ours has a very active train schedule. It's part of our long history but please be aware that the horn does blow during the day and night too. Many people love the sound of trains, some don't. If you feel it might disturb your sleep please bring ear plugs. Any house will hear the train in our village.

Up a country road and down a long private drive, past pond number one, you'll find a home that's a little different from the usual. Designed by architect Parker Bloser, Two Ponds is a roomy retreat for two large families or a group of friends. Outside, it looks a bit like a castle. Inside, bluestone floors, soaring wood ceilings and picture window views of birch trees and sunsets over pond number two make it feel like you're in the middle of nature. Cook up memorable meals in the chef-equipped kitchen with large pantry and serve them on the ten-foot table in the dining room. Watch movies or play games in the spacious living room with fireplace. Enjoy cocktails and barbecue on the bluestone plaza that runs along two sides of the house, overlooking the gunite pool and pond (complete with canoe). At the end of the day, five very private bedrooms await--three with ensuite bathrooms.
