Walk to all…the Chequit Inn, Stars Café, the Pharmacy and Luncheonette, beach, tennis, North Ferry to Greenport and the Hampton Jitney to Manhattan, and EIffel's Gourmet Market are steps away – no car needed. One could hop on the Manhattan Hampton Jitney and be at the house in under two hours. 3000 square feet of comfortable living space, A/C in bedrooms, Cable TV, WIFI, Weber gas bbq grill, washing machine, dryer…groceries delivered Sat mornings from (URL HIDDEN) or The Shelter island IGA – no need for a car.

This is a great family house for those who love the beach, tennis, golf and a central Heights location - if you love the beauty and convenience of Shelter Island Heights, this is your family's wonderful and relaxing home for the summer. Napping, swimming, bbqing, biking, and relaxing are required.

We welcome you to tour the house in advance. Please feel free to visit the island - we will be happy to pick you up at the ferry, drive you to the home and give you a tour of the premises and grounds in advance. We want you to enjoy your stay and approve of the house - please feel free to visit before you book. Guest AccessGuests Have full access to the Shelter Island Heights Private Beach Club - serene, quiet area near the North Ferry with its own gorgeous private stretch of beach, covered patio area, picnic tables, charcoal grills, cabanas, playground, beach lockers, beach volleyball, fishing pier, basketball court, float, two kayaks. Watch the sailing regattas sail by on Wednesday nights at 6 pm....when you enter the Beach Club, sign in as a guest of "The O'Hagans". Shelter Island's Heights historic district is a stroll from a great restaurant in one direction, and a 3 minute walk to the beach and the ferry in the other direction. Heart set on a car beach sticker? Bring a copy of your rental agreement and your license plate number to Town Hall in the center of town on Rt 114, and Ask the Town Clerk for a weekly beach sticker. Getting AroundEasily walk (we are very close to town and the North Ferry), rent bikes (Piccozzi's Bike Rental), or bring your own vehicle. Easily travel on the Manhattan Hampton Jitney to Greenport, walk on the SI ferry, and then walk up the hill to our home (5 minutes). Other Things to NoteWell behaved pets might be ok - let's discuss first, please.
We don't allow sand in the house - please rinse off in our outdoor shower after a day at the beach. There are also showers at the Beach Club, and Crescent Beach.
