Come stay in an awesome 1955 Spartan Royal Manor-the Queen of Vintage Campers! The Silver Bettie is equipped with all of the modern comforts with decorative tributes to the 1950's atomic era! Our Spartan was manufactured in 1955 by the Spartan Aircraft Company who made their start making war planes during WWII. After the war Spartan began making these huge luxury rolling caravan's. The first Spartan Camper was made in 1948 and the last Spartan was manufactured in the early 60's before the company closed it's doors for good in Tulsa Oklahoma. The Bettie is similar to an airstream, but with MUCH more headroom and space inside and with even more history! The Spartan manor has one private bedroom with a very comfortable new memory foam mattress and a living room with a futon to sleep a total of four guests comfortably. The Spartan has a bathroom with a regular toilet and a roomy shower with gorgeous newly tiled subway tiles and a vanity with a round pedestal bowl sink. The Camper is permanently stationed on private property in a neighborhood that is just 5 miles from downtown Asheville and only two miles from Asheville's most popular area, Haywood rd in west Asheville! A beautiful custom metal fence makes the Spartan yard your own private vintage paradise! Have breakfast and coffee (coffee provided) on the deck while lounging in retro tulip chairs. The inside of the Spartan has everything you need to be happy and comfortable. Comfy linens and sweet vintage quilts and bedding along with towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook including a restored 1950's Philco refrigerator to keep your groceries and drinks cold in style. We have had the sink, cooktop, and refrigerator refinished in a fun vintage turquoise and red! Enjoy eating your meals on the cool vintage formica table with a boomerang top and retro metal edging (even the legs were refinished to match the refinished turquoise kitchen sink and cooktop- it's all about the details!) There is a brand new AC unit to make sure you stay cool too and heaters to keep you toasty! Speaking of toasty....enjoy sipping on a cold beer (or soda pop) around the fire pit at night, while taking in the stars or roasting some marshmallows on a stick :-) We love vintage campers and have spent over a year lovingly restoring and remodeling this amazing vintage glamper-she's come a long way and the results are phenomenal! We know you are going to love the Bettie as much as we do! LOCATION: We are just 2 miles from Haywood rd-Asheville's hippest part of town! vista www. onhaywood. com to discover all Haywood roads cool breweries, many restaurants, and live entertainment options! Please note that the Bettie is on it's own chunk of private property- NOT in someones backyard or a campground where you are next to other people- The Bettie has a beautiful new 8ft tall fence so you can enjoy your privacy whether hanging inside or lounging on the porch outside of the Bettie! **Can we help?** Our Goal is to make your vacation absolutely fantastic and fun! The Farm Cabins, just outside of Asheville, NC, can be used for romantic weekend retreats, family reunions, or to host out of town guests who are attending your wedding at The Farm. Our Cabins look rustic from the outside but they are blended with elegant furnishings on the inside. We paid particular attention to craftsmanship and details inside and out using vintage reclaimed lumber on the outside with vintage tin porch roofing that we harvested from old barns and houses in the area. Inside, the wood walls and ceilings are finished with a warm antique "milk-paint" look, antique wood floors and reclaimed lumber from the first house built on Justice Ridge Road. You will have sweet dreams sleeping surrounded by our luxury bed linens. Also included : DVD , A/C, wifi and cable TV. For the most up to date calendar please visit our website: www.thefarmcabins.com. taxes included in fee 15 minutes west of downtown Asheville. From I-40 take exit 44, travel west toward Candler 3.2 miles, turn Right onto Justice Ridge Rd. Proceed .08 of a mile to The Farm entrance. The SpaceFor 2017 I am renting my rooms by the month only. $810/month for one person. There may be some occasional exceptions so get in touch if you have a different schedule than that. Gardens surround this charming homestead with rare trees & shrubs, flowers, and fresh vegetables. The living room wood-burning stove creates a cozy place (in season) to read, talk, or watch a movie. There is off-street parking and a friendly, helpful hostess. I have made quite a few improvements here lately and the homestead is now even prettier and more comfortable! It may just remind you of your grandmother's house. Many people think that the best things here are the two outdoor covered porches where you can sit and eat, chat, or enjoy a drink. Outside in the gardens you'll find a hammock, a covered swing, benches, and tables & chairs with umbrellas for your enjoyment. Your delightful, private, sunny, 2nd floor space has a half-bath right in the room. There is a comfortable full bed, a table and chairs, a lovely view of the garden, and a real secret compartment (ask me). The "eco-carpeting" is soft to walk on and pretty. The room comes with fresh-air dried sheets, nice towels, kitchen/house/garden privileges, and very fast wifi. The very pretty shower/bath is downstairs and it is shared. There is quiet central air-conditioning and also a window ac unit in the room to ensure your comfort in the summer months. Also provided is a small heater for extra heat if you prefer it in the cool weather. There are sweet cats to visit with (if you like). You just have to see their second floor cat door/ramp! The vegetable garden is large and productive year-round. There are even winter veggies and flowers in the attached greenhouse. It is a sweet, warm, fragrant place to sit on a cold day! The chickens will entertain you with their antics. I am raising several Heritage breeds. You will know you are in the country when the rooster crows in the morning. Although breakfast is not included in the room rate (I'm just too busy... sorry!) you are welcome to use the kitchen. Farm fresh eggs are sometimes available. And I always offer fresh excellent coffee and a choice of teas. I grow a lot of flowers and often have fresh flower bouquets in the house and in the guest rooms. I have another bedroom listed on Airbnb (with a queen bed) ... in case you need another room or need something slightly different. I love to host children! They especially love the chickens, the cats, and the secret room (watch them try to find it!). I also have another, more affordable, to let by the month which is NOT listed on Airbnb. You may inquire here about that (Room THREE). I do everything that I can to make my guests feel comfortable. You get a nice bed-and-breakfast type of atmosphere at very affordable rate. My one nice shower is shared by everyone. My guests tend to be real sweethearts who are very considerate. We share well! And I have a spare half-bath in the basement in case you are really in a hurry. I strive to create a healthy atmosphere. I garden using organic methods. I recycle everything possible. I have a reverse-osmosis water filtration system for drinking. And I have a whole-house water filtration system for a chlorine-free shower. I use natural cleaning products and unscented laundry soap. I have no microwave. And I have organic sheets for room ONE upon request. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Great Smoky National Park are nearby. All the fun of Asheville (including the Biltmore Estate) is right up the road. The new Asheville Outlet Mall isn't far. I am a little bit out of town but there are some local eateries out here. But the best selection, of course, is in Asheville. This is a casual household. Flexible. People feel comfortable here. I love people of all types! I especially enjoy easy-going people who enjoy a home-like atmosphere as opposed to a motel. I speak some Turkish and a smattering of German. I am occasionally open to barter. Try me! Please come join me at my pretty country home. I'd love to have you! Guest AccessYou may use the public rooms, outdoor seating, gardens, kitchen... you name it! You may even pull weeds if you like that kind of thing! Interaction with GuestsI am Kathleen a hardworking gal in my 60's. I am are usually here when I have guests but I am occasionally out of town. When that happens a housemate may be the one to greet you. I love interacting with guests... but I don't always have a lot of time since I am working. But I try! The NeighborhoodThis is a country neighborhood. Each house has about half an acre or more. I am on a very quiet street on one side and a country cut-through road on the other. Very easy to find! Getting AroundThere is no public transportation out here. You'll really need a car to come and go. But there's always taxi service or UBER! Other Things to NotePlease contact me if you have any questions or special concerns. I will try to accommodate as much as possible!

Our Cabins look rustic from the outside but they have comfort and charm on the inside. Since we have paid particular attention to craftsmanship and details inside and out, we used new lumber for the framing but clad the cabins with vintage reclaimed lumber and vintage tin porch roofing that we harvested from old barns and houses in the area. Inside the wood walls and ceilings are finished with a "milk-paint" look, antique wood floors and reclaimed lumber from the first house built on Justice Ridge Road. The SpaceFor 2017 I am renting my rooms by the month only. $780/month for one person. There may be some occasional exceptions so get in touch if you have a different schedule than that. Gardens surround my charming homestead with rare trees & shrubs, flowers, and fresh vegetables. Your comfortable, sunny room is on the first floor and is easily accessible with only one small step onto the front porch. It has a queen bed and lovely antiques. The room comes with fresh-air dried sheets, kitchen/house/garden privileges, fast wifi, and sweet cats to visit with (if you like). The shared bath is right next door to the room. The TV in the den is set up for movies (Roku & DVD). There is quiet central air-conditioning for your comfort in the summer months and a small space heater in case you desire extra warmth in the winter. And sometimes I hatch baby chicks. Although breakfast is not included in the room rate (I'm just too busy... sorry!) you are welcome to use the kitchen. Sometime farm-fresh eggs are available. And I always offer fresh excellent coffee and a choice of teas. I grow a lot of flowers and often have fresh flower bouquets in the house and in the guest rooms. I have another bedroom listed on Airbnb (with a full bed) ... in case you need another room or need something slightly different. I love to host children! They especially love the chickens, the cats, and the secret room (watch them try to find it!). I also have another, more affordable, to let by the month which is NOT listed on Airbnb. You may inquire here about that (Room THREE). I do everything that I can to make my guests comfortable. You get a nice bed-and-breakfast type of atmosphere at very affordable rate. My one nice shower is shared by everyone. Our guests tend to be real sweethearts who are very considerate. The new Asheville Outlet Mall isn't far away. I am a little bit out of town but there are some local eateries out here. But the best selection, of course, is in Asheville. This is a casual household. Flexible. People feel comfortable here. We love people of all types! We especially enjoy easy-going people who enjoy a home-like atmosphere as opposed to a motel. I speak some Turkish and a smattering of German. I am occasionally open to barter. Try me! Please come join me at my pretty country home. I'd love to have you! Guest AccessYou are welcome to use the public rooms, outdoor seating, gardens, kitchen... you name it! You can even pull weeds if you like that kind of thing! Interaction with GuestsI am Kathleen, a hardworking gal in my 60's. I am usually here when I have guests but I am occasionally out of town. When that happens a housemate may be the one to greet you. I love interacting with guests... but I don't always have a lot of time since I am working. But I try! The NeighborhoodThis is a country neighborhood. Each house has about half an acre or more. We are on a very quiet street on one side and a country cut-through road on the other. Very easy to find! Getting AroundThere is no public transportation out here. You'll really need a car to come and go. But there's always taxi service and UBER! Other Things to NotePlease contact me if you have any questions or special concerns. I will try to accommodate as much as possible!

House cleaning supplies, if you need them, are in the utility room along with the washer and dryer. Bathroom supplies are under the sink in the master bathroom. Linens are in the closet at the top of the stairs, along with a laundry basket. We deliberately have limited our closet space. There is a small walk in closet in the master bedroom and one rear the front door. We'd appreciate if you refrained from touching or moving any of the paintings, photographs, or quilts. Farm Life- you will be visiting the country and coming into contact with critters that make country living what it is.
