The SpaceAn artist haven with an asian flair. Offering the whole house but would need agreement to either care for cats or be okay with either pet sitter or me to stop by at your convenience once a day to feed and scoop litter. Small kitchen with all incidentals you may need (butter, spices etc). One bath with extra travel size soap and shampoos etc. 3/4 acre yard with pop-up camper for the adventurous. Washer/dryer. Super safe neighborhood with a large yard for privacy. You'll immediately feel the stress of the day melt away when you walk in the door! Unfortunately, no additional pets allowed but my cats are the most loving and sweet girls you'll ever meet! Not too demanding of attention but good company when you want it. Ultra comfortable high end queen latex bed in main bedroom; single or trundle bed in second bedroom and option of a high end blow up in the 3rd room used as an office. Please note, I live in my house full time when it is not being used for AirBnB but I have an elderly client who loves for me to stay with her so I'm always delighted to rent my place out. I take pride in providing a clean and comfortable home for your stay! Guest AccessAccess to kitchen, laundry, yard ... well, entire house and property that is! ;-) Interaction with GuestsI like to meet my guests when they arrive if possible and happy to interact as little or as much as you'd like. Generally, I clear out completely for your stay and trust my cats care to you. If you don't mind, I love to visit them when you're out for a long day but absolutely respect your privacy and will only do so upon prior arrangement and agreement. The NeighborhoodQuiet neighborhood with lots of space between houses so you feel like you're in the country but with the safety and security of a nice neighborhood around you. Empty lot on one side and small house on the other side with an owner who is rarely home. Getting AroundThere is a UNC park and ride about 5-8 minutes away. I leave a map of Chapel Hill and Durham as well as visitors guides on the table for your convenience. Other Things to NoteMy house is small, but very cozy and extremely clean & comfortable. I clean out some dresser drawers for your personal items and provide fresh linens, towels, etc. Read my reviews and decide for yourself. It might look like it's located far out of town, but it's actually very conveniently located to UNC and not far from Durham and Duke. The bedroom with the trundle is typically set up for only one bed as it can be cramped in there with 2 but the other could be pulled out if needed.

The Space1 Bedroom with queen size bed, plus a VERY comfortable futon in the living room. More than four? Let me know, I might be able to work with you. Elevated deck outside entry gives tree house feel. Hardwood floors in the living room and bedroom. Living room has a large area rug as seen in the photos. Kitchen is ready to cook in with basic spices, utensils, and cookware (stove and oven are electric). Instruments on the wall are playable, and are meant to be enjoyed (most likely will be two guitars until I can find a cheaper banjo to make public). Large walk in closets. Guest AccessGuests will have full private access to the apartment and use of the yard as if they were residents. Interaction with GuestsI am friendly and am happy to chat, but sometimes can be on the quiet side. I work a full time job with a couple of full time hobbies, so I'm often quite busy. This being said, I'm easy-does-it and enjoy meeting new folk. I look forward to getting to know you as I'm able. The NeighborhoodAh Carrboro! Known in some circles as the "Paris of the Piedmont", Carrboro is a unique community offering city-like conveniences with a wonderful small town charm. 15 minute walk to the center of town (Weaver Street Market, etc). 20 minutes to the historic Cats Cradle Music Venue, 30 minutes by foot to West Franklin Street. Bike lanes abound, and there's a shed out back to store your two wheeled companion. If you're partial to cars or trucks the Treehouse has parking for three vehicles, but with grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, delis, retail, movies and more within walking distance, we wouldn't be surprised if you forgot the keys at "home". Getting AroundChapel Hill and Carrboro offer a free bus service through town and to UNC. The bus stop is only a half a block away from the Treehouse. How about them apples? Other Things to NoteYour host is a road-seasoned songwriter (and now solar engineer) who has lived around the world. Having experienced hospitality in all its various forms, I feel like I've got a pretty good idea how to make a person (or people) feel comfortable. The house is older having been built in the 40's, with all the "quaint" that comes with it. "Level" and "Square" can be relative terms, but the Treehouse is clean and comfortable and I think you'll be feeling right at home in no time flat.

The SpaceThe little house is truly a small and complete house - there's a charming living room complete with packed bookcase, a very workable kitchen with fridge, electric stove, dishwasher, microwave and toaster oven, a comfortable bedroom with a double bed and a television, and a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower. Guest AccessThe house is connected to our bigger house by a covered breezeway but has its own entrance and access by walkways directly from the driveway where you are welcome to park. Interaction with GuestsWe will be here during a guest's stay here and will be delighted to share information about "the southern part of heaven," as Chapel Hill is known. However, the little house is separate and completely private, and guests are free to come and go on their own schedules. The NeighborhoodIt's a quiet and friendly neighborhood in Chapel Hill with easy access to downtown and to the University of North Carolina. Lovely place to walk in the evening. Getting AroundJust a couple of blocks' walk takes you to Culbreth Road where you can pick up the D Bus [always a free ride in Chapel HIll!] that will take you to downtown Chapel Hill and to the University of North Carolina. We're also close to all major roads and interstates in the area and close to area shopping by car. Other Things to NoteWe do have one pet, a cat - but, of course, he will not be staying at the Little House! However, they have stayed there with our children in years gone by so if you're seriously allergic to cats, you may want to choose another place in Chapel Hill. We do have a Pack and Play should you want to bring an infant - we would welcome little ones!

The SpacePlease send me a note inquiring about availability before trying to book. This is a two bedroom apartment in a cooperatively-owned housing complex. One of the bedrooms has a futon that can comfortably sleep one, maybe two occupants. The kitchen and living room are open and the living room contains a couch that pulls out to a very comfy double bed. This area is not private, but can comfortably fit two. Our co-op has a large organic garden, chickens, bees, mushroom logs and lots of friendly neighbors. Carrboro is a wonderful place where everything is within walking or biking distance. Lots of great food, local artisans, music, hiking areas, comedy shows, performing arts, sculptures, and within a half hour drive to many other great attractions in the Triangle area! The free bus line is nearby to connect Carrboro to Chapel Hill and the greater Triangle. We are a 15 minute walk to Cat's Cradle and a 20 minute drive to the Haw River Ballroom. Come enjoy the comforts of homesteading within walking distance to all the amenities of our vibrant town! Guest AccessGuests have access to private room with a futon, shared kitchen and living room with pullout couch and a shared full bathroom. The only thing that is off limits is our bedroom. During the right season you may have access to our garden and fresh eggs from our hens. Interaction with GuestsI'll be here and interact as much as you'd like. I enjoy sharing meals and good conversations over coffee, tea, or beer. The NeighborhoodThe apartment complex consists of 10 units that are cooperatively owned by all of the residence. We all share in the upkeep of the place. One of my favorite things about our neighborhood is that we are able to take a 10 minute walk to restaurants, music venues, bars, shops, or groceries. There are also many conveniently located hiking trails in walking distance at nearby Wilson Park. Getting AroundThe easiest thing to do is park at our place and drive around... parking can be tricky to find in the cities, but there are parking decks around. My home is about a 20 minute drive from the airport.

The Space2 Bedrooms available with 1 queen and 1 full sized bed. Spacious and well appointed kitchen w/ dishwasher. Large dining room table currently seats four. Comfortable living room with large leather couch (sleepable!). Small (but effective) bathroom. Small brick patio outside, covered porches out front and back. The furnishings are a little sparse, but comfortable. I am improving the space as quickly as I can. It is clean and comfortable, for the time being (while I make improvements) take advantage of a low rate on a great location in Carrboro! Guest AccessGuests will have full private access to most of the apartment and use of the yard as if they were residents. A small third bedroom will be locked off for storage purposes. Interaction with GuestsIf you are staying here I... will not be. But I won't be far. I will be prompt to respond to requests or concerns, and I am happy to do whatever I need to to make your stay pleasant. Getting AroundThe (free!) bus stop is only a half block away. Most of Carrboro's amenities are within a half hour walk. Other Things to NoteA dog and a cat live here when I am not renting it out, so if anyone in your party has allergies it may not be the best spot for you (though it will be cleaned thoroughly upon your arrival). I will accept pet owners on a case by case basis. Let's talk, and we may be able to figure something out?

If you need to do laundry you can use ours in the main residence. Interaction with GuestsWe live in the main house so you may or may not run into us. You are welcome to stop in, use the laundry. We might even make you breakfast if you are here on Sunday morning. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is 15 acres of quiet hardwood forest connected by a long private gravel road to Hwy 15-501 south of Chapel Hill. It is very secluded and quiet. Getting AroundYou will want a car. There is a UNC park and ride lot at the end of our driveway (1/2 mile long) which is about a 20 minute walk. The Chapel Hill/ UNC bus system is free. Biking is possible but my driveway is gravel so its not that easy. The highway is not the best for two wheel travel, but people do it all the time. Other Things to NoteYou'll have the basic supplies to last your first week, but you'll need to take care of your own if you stay longer. We'll clean between guests. You clean and launder for yourself while you are in residence.

It has a walk in closet with shelving and overlooks Historic Hillsborough Road. You can assure complete privacy with beautiful wooden plantation shutters. However, I value both my and my guests' privacy. The NeighborhoodThe property is located in the historic part of downtown Carrboro among some of the loveliest homes in town. There are mature oak and elm trees all along the street. The front porch overlooks these old homes and the back screened porch faces a screened in vegetable garden and wooded area. You can walk to the neighborhood yoga studio (which I co-own) in the historic Carr Mill, maybe do a little shopping at Sophia's boutique and shoetique--a fabulous purveyor of stylish, albeit comfortable, shoes--then to Glass Half Full for dinner then Pecadillo for drinks--the evening will be complete! The SpaceOne of the most unique and beautiful homes in the Spring Valley neighborhood! Huge downstairs apartment allows for privacy with mini-kitchen and shower. Come and go via your newly updated (June 2015) private entrance and enjoy a leisurely walk around the pond, or access Bolin Creek Trails just a few steps away. Guest AccessGuests have access to the serene Spring Valley neighborhood, including pond and dock with our resident muscovy duck and other wildlife. Your private entrance and patio are in the back of the house, accessed to the left of the house. Your dedicated parking space is located parallel to the street on a concrete grid, just to the right of the driveway. Interaction with GuestsAs much or as little interaction as you like. My work schedule varies from week to week, so I may or may not be home when you arrive, yet I will do my best to check you in personally if I am able. I've lived in the area for 25+ years, so If my schedule permits I can offer tips and suggestions on places to eat, things to do, etc. Your private apartment is in the downstairs portion of my home, so there is no need for interaction if you prefer. The NeighborhoodI fell in love with this neighborhood and after years of searching I finally found my dream home. Spring Valley is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the area, and the location can't be beat - the perfect blend of nature with proximity to downtown. This area is truly unique and peaceful! Getting AroundYou'll find the closest bus stop about a half mile's walk away. The bus is free and will take you downtown or to UNC every 30min-1hr in about 5-15 minutes. The bus runs from 6:54am with the latest bus returning at 9:24pm. My house is located 1.5 miles from downtown Carrboro, and 2.5 miles from UNC. Other Things to NoteI will provide clean linens, towels, washcloths, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. There is a desk downstairs for your use, as well as a clothing rack with hangers. Wi-Fi is included and works well, though some guests report having some issues with consistent cell phone service with some providers (reception is better around the front of the house). I have been told that the space is very quiet and noise does not travel easily between your apartment and the rest of my house. If you have any issues with heating/cooling, send me a message and I can adjust the temperature. However, there is a small heater/fan available for your use. If there's anything else you require, please don't hesitate to ask!
