The SpaceThis ABSOLUTELY charming bungalow, which was completely remodeled on the inside in late 2008/early 2009 and the outside was done in early 2012, in the historic district of Wilmington was built in 1916 and is available for rent. We have been renting it since 2007 and have worked really hard to help make it enjoyable for those who are looking to depart from the traditional hotel stay when they come to the area.
It has two bedrooms with queen size beds, and a single bath. There is also a queen size sleeper sofa and a large chair with a single size sleeper, making it comfortable for up to 3 couples and 1 additional person (7 people total).
You will have access to the entire home, with the exception of the Owner's Closet.
Since you are the only guest, you have the house to yourself and whomever joins you!
We really love this neighborhood! We have owned the house since 2002 and seen virtually every house on our street be remodeled. The neighbors are very friendly, you can take walks around the neighborhood, there is a local coffee shop that is walking distance as well as a diner and a park. Our area was zoned historic a few years ago and we have an active Neighborhood Association to help protect the area and our interest.
The best way to get around Wilmington is to drive. There are taxi services you can call, and if you are just looking for a getaway to read, paint, do some work or just enjoy some alone time, then there are a few of places that are walkable.

The NeighborhoodThe home is in the Historic Carolina Place-Ardmore neighborhood and is located on a oneway street. It has a very active Neighborhood Association that focuses on keeping the charm and character of the area, including the trees, greenery, and diversity of the community. It is a very proactive group that also works toward traffic management, additional street lights, and the desire for a new local grocery store. The big dreams of the area is to include focus Burnt Mill Creek with additional programming at Wallace Park, such as a baseball diamond and performing arts facility. The street the home is on has seen nearly all of the other homes remodeled and restored since 2002, when our home was purchased. It has been an absolute pleasure owning and staying in the home since we purchased it!
