Wren Eagle Retreat is surrounded by trees, forest, woods, or however you like to describe its woodsy 20+ acre environment. Situated near the top of a hill with great views of southern Ohio ridges and surrounded by oak, hickory, and pine. With no other habitation in view, you can relax on the expansive deck, explore the rolling terrain, watch for deer, turkey, and other birds, animals, and insects, and be serenaded in the evening by crickets, toads, and bull frogs. Among the most unusual fauna are the reclusive owls and whippoorwills (who sing only in spring and autumn evenings), and the walking sticks and luna moths which appear during the summer.
Wren Eagle Retreat is perfect for a week of quiet contemplation, a family vacation, a scrapbooking or quilting group, or any other getaway occasion. Wren Eagle Retreat offers the comforts of home plus easy access to hiking, kayaking, biking, historical sites, and much more that Chillicothe and the surrounding area has to offer. Once you are ready to explore, The First Capital District offers The History Store filled with miniatures of many historical scenes. The Pump House Art Gallery shows local art, and Ross County Historical Museum offers historical homes and artifacts--all within an easy walk of each other.
So whether you stay for a week or two or make it a long weekend you can experience history and nature, and engage in many other activities.
Please check with me regarding prices because Flipkey may reflect a higher price. All prices are current on my website. Just search for Wren Eagle Retreat.
I can give you an exact amount when you contact me. I charge $50 extra per dog, per stay, because it takes my cleaner more time to clean up the hair and other messes. Yes, young children may be messier, but travelling with one's dog is optional; travelling with one's child is not. All taxes and cleaning fees are included in my rates listed on my website. Flipkey requires rates to be in $ amount, but my rates include cents due to local taxes. Reviews are posted only on my website. I don't require guests to write reviews but I do appreciate it when someone tells me what I could do better or what they like. Please ask about any new changes to the property because photos are the last part of the renovation process!
A beautiful secluded getaway close to Chillicothe. Surrounded by oaks, hickories, maples and pines, you will never see another person. Beautiful in both winter and summer, but best during temperate times when you can sit on the deck and enjoy the wildlife and the view to the next ridge. A perfect way to explore the history surrounding Chillicothe and yet, have your own time of quiet rest. Watch the birds and butterflies during the day and look up to the sky and night to see thousands of stars. Walk the paths, sit and think, and remember what is important.
