Built in 1900 by and sold to the Hungers in 1907. They lived in and loved this beauty for 50 years until it was sold again. Signed Tiffany light fixtures graced the dining room with it's arches and built in leaded glass china cabinet until owners in the 70's traded them for an oriental carpet.

NOTE: This is a very large 116 yr old home and NOT a brand new constructed home. Don't expect it to be perfect though it has been upgraded in many ways. It's fun and quirky but nostalgic. It's our family home and we love it's perfect imperfections. The stairs used to make interesting noises when you walked up them but we recently opened up the lathe & plaster to look for hidden treasures and we had a master craftsman restore the stairs. This is not a fancy B&B but rather a spacious family home with a HUGE amount of space. We have furnished it with antiques and comfortable furniture.
At $198 per night we feel it's a bargain compared to nearby hotels that are 200 sq ft with no kitchen, a yard, deck and front porch to enjoy. We keep on restoring different areas of this home-it's an ongoing project and will update photos as we go. NOTE: If your group is larger than 4 people there will be a higher nightly rate. We'd like your expectations to be appropriate for this wonderful home. It's beautiful and well worth the nightly rate with 4 bedrooms but if you want extra swanky...look for a $400/nite place.
There are 2.5 baths. The first floor has a convenient half bath off of the kitchen.
The 2nd floor has a brand new $2200 claw foot slipper tub with platinum feet, new toilet, new tile floor, granite topped sink, and it is really lovely.
The 2nd bathroom/claw ft tub with shower over it is located in the laundry room. It is a cast iron claw ft tub that is original to the house and the laundry room is located in the basement with high ceilings. It's very rustic but has it's own charm. The new toilet, *we couldn't save the 114 yr old push button toilet" is in a separate water closet inside the laundry room area. We were able to keep the 115 yr old sink.
AIR CONDITIONING: We have five window units some with remotes. With lake breezes, lots of windows and ceiling fans you should be comfortable whether you choose to use the units or not.
