There is a mini fridge in your room but you are welcome to use our big one downstairs. There is an area in the kitchen set up for hot beverages...help yourself 24/7. The bedroom is on the 3rd floor of the house and has a nice urban view of the street. You can comfortably sleep a family of 4 here. We have an 11 year old; so, we are family friendly. The house will be 100 years old in 5 years and is 3300 sq. feet. It's quiet around here despite being centrally located. Our home is filled with our artwork. Its eclectic and unusual but most people love it. Guest AccessGuests have access to their room, bathroom and kitchen if desired, laundry in basement and garage and carport. Interaction with GuestsWe will be around the house and in the yard but wont interfere with your privacy unless you want to come outside and sit in the back yard; or on the front or back porch or lay in the hammock. Yes, we are here when our guests are here. The NeighborhoodThis is one of the best neighborhoods in the US. It is a super safe, walk friendly, bike friendly place. There are a ton of bars and restaurants in our little city and grocery shopping and antiquing are right around the corner. The YMCA is 2 blocks down with an indoor pool if you're a member or you can go to the outdoor Lakewood Pools for a daily rate. There are several play parks in the neighborhood as well as entrances to the Metroparks less than a mile from the house. If you are coming to Cleveland you have to experience the Metroparks. Its over 100 miles of bike path that winds through forests and parks all connected that circle the city and continue south down the Erie Canal. 45 minutes from here is Cedar Point and The Islands with wineries and beaches and boating. We also have boating right here down in the Rocky River Marina or at the Edgewater Yacht club. Visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, take in a sporting event at one of the arenas or visit a comedy club downtown and try your luck at the Horseshoe Casino. Tour the Cleveland Art Museum, or the Natural History Museum or take a tour on Lolly the Trolley. You can enjoy a dinner cruise and then take in a show at Playhouse Square. There is a ton of fun things to do here! Getting AroundYou can walk, bike or taxi (Westlake Cab - 5$ anywhere in Lakewood). If you want to take the bus, it stops right outside of the store next to our house. Busses and RTA Transit can take you anywhere you want to go in the city and greater metropolitan area. Other Things to NoteWe have a one dog. Her name is Phoebe. She is a small dog who loves people and loves to dance. She has good manners and is friendly. She will bark when she first meets you but won't after that; and she is groomed and bathed often and I vacuum and shampoo the carpets and furniture frequently so there is no "dog" smell in the house and there's not a lot of hair flying around either as I can't stand it. I provide Dunkin Donuts and coffee or Bagels and cream cheese and orange juice but if you want you can order eggs benedict or my special recipe biscuits and gravy with eggs or stuffed french toast with mixed berry syrup and sausage links or patties for 30.00 per party (but you can only choose one meal per morning). We are 15 minutes from the Browns Stadium, Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, Science Center, Progressive Field, or just about anywhere downtown. We are 20 minutes from the Cleveland Clinic, the VA hospital and 25 from Case Western Reserve and University Hospital.

The SpaceExperience the charm of a Victorian home with the convenience of modern stainless steel appliances and a new 40 inch Smart TV. This is a fun place to stay and the walk-able neighborhood is very artsy with unique restaurants Melt ( seen on the food channel) The Rush Inn had great mussels the last time we were there. People walk their dogs, ride bikes, and jog 24/7 here. Farm to table restaurants like Forage are sure to please you. If you like Mexican food, you can walk to El Carnicero. Fun atmosphere and great food. A TV on each floor. 1st Fl Living room has a 40 inch flat screen LED SMART TV. This means you can use your Amazon Prime and also use Cable as well as Roku. Need a large house or two ? We have a second house next door that also has 5 bedrooms. Perfect for a large group who want to stay with each other. Take our street east and you will be in downtown Cleveland in minutes. Sailors fr Toronto at nearby yacht club on Lake Erie said they really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. Most guests also enjoy lounging around the front porch in the evenings...we hope you will too. We've hosted University Hosp, Metro, and Cleveland clinic interns and other doctors, it's an easy drive to Cleve clinic with very little traffic. The architecture of this renovated 3 story Victorian home with original Slate Roof, turrets, bay windows, hardwood floors with fruitwood and mahogany inlaid strips is lovely. AVAILABLE FOR MONTH TO MONTH RENTAL You will pay for whatever utilities you consume. Electric, Gas, Water, and Cable. Built in 1900 by and sold to the Hungers in 1907. They lived in and loved this beauty for 50 years until it was sold again. Signed Tiffany light fixtures graced the dining room with it's arches and built in leaded glass china cabinet until owners in the 70's traded them for an oriental carpet. Italian Tile makes a statement in the large sunny eat in kitchen with a gas stove, Side by side stainless steel fridge, and dishwasher. With 11 ft cove ceilings, pantry, plate rails, and gorgeous era ceiling fans...you know you are staying somewhere special. Relax in the large living room with a Steinway Upright Baby Grand Piano circa 1911 and a double mantled mirrored fireplace with tiger oak Corinthian Columns. Parking for 1-2 cars in the driveway depending on how much of the house you are renting. (Two spaces just outside the side door) It's a shared driveway so we need you to use the two assigned parking spaces. Plenty of street parking in front of the house on the tree lined Boulevard. A lovely front porch and back deck with a pond away you for relaxation. Just a short walk to Lake Erie and a bike ride to the Rocky River Valley where the Emerald Necklace Park System gives you 100 miles of tree lined bike and running paths to spread your legs and wings. Walk to the brand new YWCA and work out, or to any of Lakewood's adorable shoppes and restaurants. Famed restaurant: Melt's is only one mile away. There are 2 full baths and one half bath. Our 1st floor half bath is just off the kitchen. Laundry facilities and most everything you need to live comfortably for a short or longer term. Take the public bus ( the 55) to downtown Cleveland and visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Visit the brand new casino and experience, Terminal Tower and all of it's treasures. The 2nd floor hall bath has been recently remodeled and updated yet kept in keeping with an amazing Slipper shaped claw foot tub, granite topped sink and new tile floor. The original white curare 1920's glass tiles have been re-secured and grouted. The master bedroom has vintage (period) wall paper by Bradbury and Bradbury, a romantic fireplace mantel and a bay window. Large 4x6 ft closets will fit anything you bring with you. The 3rd floor suite is 900 sq ft with 3 large skylights -3 rooms: Two bedrooms and a living room with TV and Roku. NOTE: This is a very large 116 yr old home and NOT a brand new constructed home. Don't expect it to be perfect though it has been upgraded in many ways. It's fun and quirky but nostalgic. It's our family home and we love it's perfect imperfections. The stairs used to make interesting noises when you walked up them but we recently opened up the lathe & plaster to look for hidden treasures and we had a master craftsman restore the stairs. This is not a fancy B&B but rather a spacious family home with a HUGE amount of space. We have furnished it with antiques and comfortable furniture. At $198 per night we feel it's a bargain compared to nearby hotels that are 200 sq ft with no kitchen, a yard, deck and front porch to enjoy. We keep on restoring different areas of this home-it's an ongoing project and will update photos as we go. NOTE: If your group is larger than 4 people there will be a higher nightly rate. We'd like your expectations to be appropriate for this wonderful home. It's beautiful and well worth the nightly rate with 4 bedrooms but if you want extra swanky...look for a $400/nite place. There are 2.5 baths. The first floor has a convenient half bath off of the kitchen. The 2nd floor has a brand new $2200 claw foot slipper tub with platinum feet, new toilet, new tile floor, granite topped sink, and it is really lovely. The 2nd bathroom/claw ft tub with shower over it is located in the laundry room. It is a cast iron claw ft tub that is original to the house and the laundry room is located in the basement with high ceilings. It's very rustic but has it's own charm. The new toilet, *we couldn't save the 114 yr old push button toilet" is in a separate water closet inside the laundry room area. We were able to keep the 115 yr old sink. AIR CONDITIONING: We have five window units some with remotes. With lake breezes, lots of windows and ceiling fans you should be comfortable whether you choose to use the units or not. HISTORY:The Hunger Brass Company Family: bought this luxury house from the bankrupt builder in 1907 for $1100.00 The deed says that it was "more" than the appraised value. They lived here and raised their families in both sides of the duplex until 1957. The Hunger's donated the doors and stained glass windows to a near by church. Their foundry was responsible for the brass railings in historic Terminal Tower and all of the downtown Historic Theatres. We've included some photos here of the family having dinner in the dining room when it actually had signed Tiffany fixtures. Imagine if you will times gone by on this fashionable tree-lined street with cable cars whizzing past only minutes from the casino in downtown Cleveland, the Browns Stadium, the Rock and Rock Hall of (website hidden): We have 2 TV's and Dish TV. The Master BR TV has a DVD player. ADDITIONAL NOTE: This is a side by side duplex on 1/4 acre..Park in assigned spots in the driveway so you don't block the tenants. All options give you access to the the kitchen, living room, dining room and basement laundry area. There are two full bathrooms and one half bath. One on the second floor and the other in the laundry room. The first floor half bath is outside the back door of the house in the mud room porch. When the owner is on-site or in the carriage house, the basement laundry and bathroom will be considered common space. She will enter from the side door and go downstairs. She will never have to enter your living area. Your privacy is assured. You will find her easy going and very hospitable. She knows all the area restaurants so feel free to ask for referrals. The owner is a well known book author and professional harpist. You may hear harp music flowing out from the Carriage House where she rehearses for performances. Sometimes she is sometimes available to take you out to eat and likes to surprise her guests with bonuses. Pizza or fresh baked cake. If you desire, she will let you know about "IN" local events. Enjoy your stay. The NeighborhoodLakewood is close to the best of Cleveland. It's ALL-American and easy access to downtown Cleveland, Lake Erie, Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. This is a five sq mile city right next to Cleveland and you can be downtown in a flash. It's a safe neighborhood with health food markets, art galleries, and all kinds of niche restaurants. Make sure you get to United Dairy Farmers for a quart of their Chocolate Cherry Cordial ice-cream. It's some of the best ice-cream in the state. Getting AroundThe Cleveland Hopkins airport is an easy 10 to 12 minute drive down Rocky River Rd. If you wish to use public transport once to go to downtown Cleveland or other parts of Lakewood. Take the 55 Express Bus (bus stop is one short block away.) to get to the center of downtown Cleveland, Cleveland State University, or the East Side Museums. On your return the well lit and covered bus stop is on the opposite side of the street just across from the house. See the website for the regional transport system. (website hidden) Other Things to NoteA/c is available june through sept There are five a/c units for the bedrooms of your choice. The other months do not need the units. TV: We have Dish TV. There is WIFI through Cox Cable if you use up or go over the data plan you will need to reimburse host for additional fees. One of the TV's has a dvd player. There is a TV on the first floor living room (40 inch flat screen Smart TV). 2nd fl master bedroom. And a tv on the 3rd floor with Roku. The wifi pw is located on the back of the modem under the TV on the first floor. Please please call us or text if something doesn't appear to work. The dining room chandelier is on a dual push button switch-If you push the wrong button on the 2nd fl to operate the chandelier, the 1st fl button won't operate the chandelier. We had guests who thought the chandelier wasn't working when it was just the dual switches. We now remind everyone that the cure is simply pushing the 2nd fl button again. In the winter, we provide an oil filled heater for the 1st fl half bath. THIS MUST stay in that bathroom to keep it warm and prevent pipes from freezing. Baths: Two Victorian tubs -one with over head shower and the other with a hand held European shower. Workout: There is a pool and work out facilities at the Lakewood YMCA. It is a brand new building. We highly recommend it for workouts. You can easily walk to the Y from our location. There are drop in classes that you can participate in such as cycling, power sculpt, Zoomba, Flexible Core. Other Things to NoteParking is on street in front of the house but the road widens in front of our home so we've never had any issues with car damage. Plus, this is a really nice street and mostly people go slow around here. We have a dog but she has manners. The little one will bark when she first meets you but won't after that; we groom and bath her often and I vacuum and shampoo the carpets and furniture frequently so there is no "dog" smell in the house and there's not a lot of hair flying around either as I can't stand it.

The SpaceThe people and animals who live here. Guest AccessKitchen with stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, George Foreman, etc.; living room with DVD player, Nintendo Wii, Roku; dining room; wifi; washer/dryer; exercise equipment; front porch; charcoal grill; yard. Guests are welcome to make use of the entire space at their comfort and convenience. Interaction with GuestsWe leave socializing up to our guests, but my husband and I are generally social people. Some of our guests keep to themselves, and some hang out with us like they are one of our friends or relatives. My husband and/or I have shown some guests around town, and we always extend an invitation to join us in any activities we might be taking part in during the time they are staying with us. At the same time though, we totally respect when people prefer to do their own thing. We have 2 dogs. Gomer is a 4 year-old Jack Russell Terrier and Greta is a 4 year-old Border Collie mix. Guests in our home MUST be dog friendly. Our dogs get very excited when guests arrive, but be assured that they calm down pretty quickly after the initial greeting. They just love people and will accept attention from anyone willing to give it. The NeighborhoodWalkability: 8 minute walk to the light rail, 15 minute walk to nearby bars, restaurants. Giant Eagle grocery store, K-Mart, fast food and various convenience stores all within walking distance from our house. Target, Home Depot, Aldi, Pat Catan's Craft Store, and a much larger Giant Eagle are available two stops away on the light rail, followed by a relatively short walk. Not the trendiest of neighborhoods, but still nice, quiet and generally safe. All the neighbors on our end of the street are friendly and talk to each other, but show respect for each other's privacy. Getting AroundCleveland is the only city in Ohio that can boast a light rail option (a.k.a. the "Rapid") as part of its public transportation system. An all-day pass is $5.00 per person. The Red Line is the only Rapid that runs on the west side of Cleveland, but is available for travel between Cleveland Hopkins Airport and downtown Cleveland, with various stops in between. Our house is conveniently located two blocks from the Red Line via the Westpark Transit Center, which is the third stop from the airport. Travel to the eastside of Cleveland is also possible by continuing on the Red Line through downtown, or by transferring to Green or Blue Line; also downtown. The Healthline is a frequently available bus that runs back and forth on Euclid Avenue between Public Square downtown and University Circle. It provides convenient access to Playhouse Square, Cleveland State University, Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland Children's Museum, Cleveland Museum of Art (free), Cleveland Botanical Garden, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and the Western Reserve Historical Society (a museum devoted to Cleveland history. Ride sharing platforms, Uber and Lyft, both offer service in Cleveland as well. Cleveland is also becoming increasingly more bicycle friendly, as bike lanes have been added to some main roads with more likely to be added. Other Things to NoteAs previously mentioned, we have two dogs, so guests must be dog friendly.

The SpaceSince the house was built in 1900, the character and charm are built in....we just added a few comfortable touches. We have never received a review of less than 5 stars! This airy and bright cottage home is ideally located near downtown Lakewood and close to the freeway... which provides direct and quick access to downtown Cleveland. The main bedroom includes a comfy queen-sized bed, large dresser and a closet for your belongings. An ironing board and iron are in the closet - should you need it. There are plenty of mirrors for dressing. The second bedroom also has a queen bed, with a dresser and closet - plus a view onto the front porch. The large wood porch is a wonderful place to watch the world go by while still enjoying your privacy. Sit back and relax on the loungers, the rocker or the great retro furniture. You can even have your morning coffee at the front porch table that seats four. The mattresses in all the beds are new and are from a top quality manufacturer. No sagging mattress here (where everyone meets in the middle!). The bed sheets and comforters are all of high quality and are also new....And they are all professionally laundered after each guest leaves. The bathroom is clean, cheery - and like the entire house - has been completely renovated. The shower is incorporated into the bathtub. There is even a cool tile top table with baskets for storing your bathroom items in addition to the vanity and medicine cabinet. The house has a complete kitchen, pots, pans, dishes and glasses - even a pantry There is a full size fridge/freezer with a microwave above. If you don't want to go out to the dozens of great restaurants in the area - you can enjoy dinner on the classic wood table in the kitchen that seats 4. Other amenities throughout the home include wireless internet, ceiling fans, a flat screen tv in the living room, and plenty of great lighting options for reading or catching up on your paperwork. New, comfortable and casual furniture add to the relaxed atmosphere. The living room has a comfy white sofa and 2 leather chairs plus an ottoman. You can keep your reading materials on the large coffee table. There is even a spare bed (full bed) in a niche in the corner of the living room that serves as a day bed, or even a spare guest bed....again all new bedding and mattress. Beautiful hardwood floors are in the main living areas and bedrooms, with new vinyl floors in the bath and kitchen. The colors of all the walls were selected to add to the welcome glow of this great little cottage. The house can comfortably sleep 4 adults - although we recommend 2. Guest AccessYou will have access to the entire apartment including the basement, which is complete with a washer and dryer (and even some detergent, so you don't need to bring your own). You are welcome to do your personal wash during your stay, or wash the bedding and towels should you choose. Our cleaning crew will take care of all the wash and laundering of the towels and bedding after you leave - no need for you to rush and do laundry when you're preparing to leave. There is both off street and on street parking. Internet access and a secure wifi connection is included. The wifi is super easy to connect. The password will be provided when you check in - it's also located in a very thorough house manual you will find upon your arrival. The upstairs tenant is quiet and respectful. We choose our tenants .....and our guests very carefully. Interaction with GuestsNone - The house is perfect for a long weekend getaway, or an extended stay. I am always available to help plan your trip and make the most of you time - should you need. When booking, just let me know your areas of interest and I'll help you put together a true local's experience - or simply refer to the house manual which includes house info and all our recommendations for local restaurants and places to go! Delicious home made meals are also available upon request for a nominal charge. Simply tell us what you like! (We have been known to surprise guests with meals and treats from time to time)... we work hard to make you feel welcome. The NeighborhoodLakewood is a fantastic, safe area with restaurants, bars and shopping. But yet just minutes away from Tremont, Ohio City, Detroit Shoreway, the new Hingetown and Downtown Cleveland. The SpaceThe house: My name is Nick and I have lived in this century home since 2009. I've done my best to make key updates over the years that many houses in Lakewood do not have. These include newer windows, a waterproofed basement, a new furnace, and a brand new garage. Updates will be made to the kitchen by 2016, and a new air conditioning unit will be installed in early 2016 as well - ready to go for the RNC! The location: A lot of people say their house is in a great location, but I genuinely feel there is no place else this close to Cleveland I'd rather be. My street is just two over from the beautiful Rocky River drive that overlooks the Cleveland Metroparks, and is just a minute or two from the Lakewood / Rocky River border. Rocky River is a very upscale city in Cleveland! I'm also situated perfectly between Detroit and Madison Avenues, two of Lakewood's main streets known for shopping and dining. Residents from all over the Cleveland area travel to Lakewood to experience some of the things you'll be able to walk to, if you choose. Guest AccessYou will have access to the entire house, including the washer and dryer in the basement. Interaction with GuestsI will be out of town the first 5 days of July for my sister's destination wedding. That being said, I should still be available over the phone to assist with anything you may need. Upon returning to Cleveland, I will be staying in a suburb about 15 minutes away. I'll be very accessible when I am in town, and if you choose, can spend time with you to show you more in the area. The NeighborhoodAs I've mentioned, this house is in a great part of town close to many things to do. Getting AroundThe Cleveland "Rapid" (train system) has a few close by stations. One is on Warren Road, another is on Triskett, and another is just off of West 117th street. The Rapid is a great way to get back and forth from downtown. My house is also conveniently located close to both the Route 2 (the shoreway) and I-90 - each lead to downtown Cleveland. Other Things to NoteNo additional notes come to mind at this time. I'll leave instructions for television, surround sound, and internet / printer access.
