The SpaceDown a dirt-road in the middle of Eastern Oregon desert, you will pass through our white picket fence into an artsy oasis.
Our gardens are a collaboration between me, a raised-in-a-nursery, flower-loving photographer and my out-of-the-box, landscaper father. The gardens are a mix of repurposed elements, eclectic English-garden style flower beds, rock patio and firepit, and a soothing water garden. You will find rest for your soul!
Inside, you will adore our 1942 restored farmhouse. All-white interior with pops of color in decor, make our space a creative's mecca. We've created a clean space with an artsy energy to relax, think and create. In Scandinavian-style, the 'whitehouse' is a mix of modern & vintage: original wood floors, farmhouse kitchen sink countered by eames chairs.
We can't wait for you to enjoy the slow life at our oasis in the desert. Guest AccessWe welcome you with home wide open! Enjoy our gardens and home.
Dogs are welcome. We have an outdoor kennel you are free to use if you're going on a day outing. Our gardens are fully-fenced so your dog can safely wander the yard when you are home. Of course we appreciate if you monitor your dog if he's a digger or a flower-lover ;) We love our grass so we also appreciate if you have your dog do their business in the bark so we don't kill our grass. We provide you with bags for cleaning-up after your dog. House-trained dogs are welcome inside. Please don't let your dog on the couch, but we'll leave extra dog-designated comforters for you to use on your bed if your dog sleeps with you :) Doggie-bed and doggie-toys included :)
You'll have access to Internet, shower, washer, dryer and full kitchen. Feel free to use any food, condiments, spices or pick fresh herbs out of the garden when they are in season.
Take a country bike ride on our two cruiser bikes. Interaction with GuestsI will either be staying just down the road at my parents home or I will be traveling. Feel free to text or call me if you need anything. I will also leave my parents number for you to contact if you need anything. The NeighborhoodLiving in the country we are friends with all our neighbors but they live far enough down the road you'll only see them when they wave as they drive by.
My parents live and own a nursery just down the road. You can walk or ride a our cruiser bikes to the nursery which is open Monday-Saturday to explore their gardens and flowers also!
Our neighborhood is friendly and perfect for long or short runs through the country-side. Getting AroundIn Eastern Oregon you will need to have your own car.
We have two cruiser bikes you can use to wander up the dirt road or canal roads to see the country-side.
If you park your car at the end of the gravel road you are at the start of the best road-biking country in the nation. If you ride south you will ride past farmers fields and into hills of wheat. (Yes, the hills will kick your butt!). You can also enjoy a shorter ride (12 miles one way) to Echo, Oregon where you will find antique shops, a local winery, and a trendy pub.
