Guest Accessprivate bathroom, backyard, basement living room w/ cable TV, pool table There is 1 double bed. Any additional people may sleep on the two couches or carpet. We have plenty of blankets and pillows. Interaction with GuestsThis is a family home- my parents, brother, sister and I all have busy schedules and are in and out. We will try to be quiet and keep the upper floor clean for your walk in- however it is something to keep in mind that it is not a hotel. The house is constantly alive and in use. However you will have the basement to yourself and it is quiet down there (we might need to go down to do laundry or grab something). The Neighborhoodproximity to nature- Fowler Forest, Summerlake, Fanno Creek Trail very quiet and safe Getting Around2 min walk to bus 56 20 min walk to Tigard Transit Center approx 45 min to Portland by bus approx 25 min drive to downtown Portland free parking possibly could arrange airport pick up Other Things to Notewe have two cats, if you have a severe allergy this isn't the place for you as the basement is carpeted. washing machine and dryer can be used $1.50 each per cycle to be paid in cash, there is an option to hang your clothes outside free of charge too we cannot give you a house key because it is impossible to make a copy, but we work close to home so just communicate with us when you need to come home and we will be there

The Space- Large, modern home centrally located in South West Portland suburb. Nice private bedroom and private bath. - Public transportation is about a 1/2 mile walk on a fairly level sidewalk. "Trimet" is the name of Portland's transportation service, so you can look that up and see what transit options are available if you don't have a car. Or there is a service called Getaround where you can rent privately owned cars by the hour. - About 15 minutes to downtown, easy access to the wine country and beaches. Front porch with rocking chair, covered back porch with grill. Look up "King City" in Oregon to get a good idea where the house is located relative to Portland, Beaverton, and other suburbs.. - If you are visiting parents or grand parents who live in or near to many of the retirement homes and facilities in King City, this is an ideal location, as it's only minutes away. It's in a suburb, so it's not in the middle of downtown or exciting nightlife, but it's also less expensive. It is also a good compromise if you want to visit the city, but also want to visit the wine country or the north central coast. - I have a second bedroom available as well. It's got an inflatable bed, but it's the higher-end one from Costco (AeroBed® 18" Queen Air Mattress ) so it's reasonably comfortable. See https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1774537 - You're welcome to use the fridge to store your food and you're welcome to use the washer/dryer as well. - I have a small printing business that I run from my home. The equipment is in the garage, so it's out of sight and is quiet. - For a great guide to things to see and do in Oregon , check out this is a really good website for ideas on things to see and do in Oregon (URL HIDDEN)

The SpaceBeautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath remodeled home in SW Portland, more precisely in Tigard. The house quiet and very safe, but close to many activities. The centre of Portland is only 20 minutes away by car. You will have your private room and the use of the master bathroom (in the picture). The master room is roomy and cozy with a beautiful European pillow top mattress. The master bath has marble top and double sink. You also will have access to the rest of the house: dining room, kitchen, living room. Across from the house there are free tennis courts. Bring your rackets if you are a player! We are also about 5 miles from Ponzi winery, the beginning of your Willamette Valley wine tasting experience. If you are a biker our house is a good starting point to bike in the valley. Guest AccessYou can use your bedroom, the kitchen, the living room and the back yard Interaction with GuestsAs little or as much as the guest desire The NeighborhoodVery green and quiet neighborhood across from a park with tennis courts and a small lake, but only 20 minutes from downtown. The house is less than a mile from new seasons market (organic food store), la Provence (French pastries and simple food), a growler station (beer, beer, beer) Cinetopia and big Al's. The SpaceWhen our son was diagnosed with cancer in 2004, our community came together and built this cozy (500 sq. ft.) tree house with LOVE! Every piece of wood, window, door, lighting fixtures and work hours were donated. It is a sacred space to us and we love sharing it with others. Watch the story here: (URL HIDDEN) Includes: 1 queen bed with a Temperpedic mattress, 1 futon couch that folds out to sleep 2 (children or small adults) in the main area and 2 twin beds in the loft. The kitchenette includes, drinking water, a dorm fridge with bagels, fruit, cream cheese and OJ. A french press, coffee beans, tea and electric tea kettle, microwave and small toaster oven and camp sink. No stove top or oven. Your bathroom is in our home just a short walk across the deck, accessible 24/7. A padded window bench seat with table and chairs are perfect for eating or relaxing. There is a DVD player near the queen bed. Free WiFi, but it is finicky at times. A curly slide is attached to the front porch along with a child's swing. We are only 25-30 minutes from downtown Portland depending on traffic. The coast and Mt. Hood are only a 1.5 hour drive away. We are 10 minutes from wine country. The Columbia River Gorge, 45 minutes from our home, is filled with spectacular waterfalls and glorious hikes. Portland boasts of many great restaurants, food carts, music and comedy venues, Powell's Book Store, VooDoo Donuts, Salt & Straw and more. Guest AccessThe bathroom is an easy walk across our deck and inside our private home. It includes a sink, toilet, and claw-foot tub/shower. It is available to guests 24/7. If arranged ahead of time, guests may have access to the large washer and dryer and our outdoor fire pit. Our home kitchen will not be available to guests. Interaction with GuestsWe have hosted people from all over the world and enjoy visiting with our guests. However; we also honor their privacy and appreciate our privacy being respected as well. The NeighborhoodWe live on a quiet flag lot, so our home is back off of the street. The House in the Trees sits on the back of our large lot connected to our large deck. Parking is provided next to our garage with easy access to the House in the Trees via the deck. Getting AroundHaving your own car is best, but there is a Trimet (public transportation) bus stop 1.7 miles or a 30 minute walk down the main road for those hearty walkers. It's 700 ft elevation gain on the way up. There's a side walk almost the entire way on the right side of the road. The Trimet 99 bus is the express bus into Portland. If you miss it, the 93 is an easy transfer to the 12 at the Tigard TC. Having a car would be more convenient. We have Uber, Lyft, Zip Car and Car2Go in our area, as well. Other Things to NotePlease do not purchase bottled water. We try to be eco-friendly and I provide a 5 gallon glass container of filter water for you. In the winter we have a separate box heater and heated mattress pad for warmth. A fuse will blow if you have both heaters on and try to blow dry your hair! Do that in the bathroom. Our summers are becoming increasingly warm, so we insert a window AC. We do have one cat, Macbeth, who is an outside cat only. In the summer, if you leave the top of the dutch door open, he will come in and wake you!

With a full kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, and wireless Internet, this spacious condo will help you feel right at home in the Portland area, and you can even take advantage of the city's excellent public transportation to reach the downtown business district. The condo's living area is open and bright, with comfortable seating arranged before a wood fireplace (Presto logs only, please) and flatscreen cable TV. Take advantage of the wireless Internet to catch up on email even as you sit by the crackling fire, or step out onto the sun-dappled balcony and enjoy the fresh air on warmer days. Stroll from your front door to the lush community park nearby, where a bridge crossing the Tualatin River connects to a network of beautiful hiking and biking trails. Downtown Portland is less than 15 miles away, providing an easy 20 minute commute by car. Alternately, the immaculate new WES Commuter Rail offers service into the city during rush hours Monday - Friday. And, of course, the Portland area itself can keep you entertained for days with its microbrews, farmers markets, bookstores, parks, and highly acclaimed restaurants.
