The SpaceWe designed and built our home in 2007 as an “Americanized” version of a French Country Manor. Stay in The Library Loft Suite -Sitting Area with TV overlooks Library, cozy window seat, only rooms located on the second floor - private bath, Queen Sized Bed. Limit of 2 people. Garage parking.
Enjoy our standard Continental Breakfast - (coffee or tea, orange juice, light flavored fruit yogurt, an english muffin and a "sweet treat"). You may request breakfast between 7:00-8:30. If you have food allergies, we suggest that you bring your own breakfast food so you have what you need.
Our gardens are always evolving. Enjoy the peaceful ambiance, watch for the deer and wild turkey and listen to the song birds from the patio in the back of the house or the Bistro Table in the front of the house. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the Great Room/Eating area for breakfast. In good weather they will have access to the screened in porch and of course all outside areas on the property. When the Library door is open, Guests may borrow any book to use during their stay - when the door is closed the Library is a private space. There is a pocket door which separates the main living space of the Hosts from the 2 Guest Rooms and the Library. When the door is closed, this door affords both Guests and Hosts a maximum amount of privacy. Interaction with GuestsWe encourage interaction while respecting each others privacy. The NeighborhoodWe love the quiet country setting. We have wonderful, friendly neighbors but our houses are separated by lots of space. We enjoy the wildlife, except when the deer eat our plants! Getting AroundWe are located in the country so a car is necessary to get around. A GPS is helpful to find us because of our country location. Other Things to NoteWe have a list of suggested area restaurants that we can email to you upon request. This is especially helpful if you are arriving close to the dinner hour and you want to have some idea of what is available before your arrival.
