The SpaceArt, character, great location, a parking space, use of the kitchen/laundry. Make yourself at home! We have a cat. She may visit or not, its up to you. Your bedroom has 2 very comfortable twin sized beds with lovely simple (sometimes antique) linens/sheets and modern comfort-top mattresses. Great for two people who want their own beds, or if you are a couple, you can push the beds together to hold hands. We provide you with a guest bath towel(s) for your convenience. I will leave you a simple breakfast often with homemade coffee breads, coffee/tea, etc... Please let me know if you have any specific dietary needs and I can try to accommodate you if possible. While we don't have "air conditioning" in each room, we do have central air here, and that will leaves the home feeling very comfortable at and it cuts back the humidity considerably. We also have good ceiling fans. This is an old farm house (not a working farm- just an old homestead), so think "Grandma-The-Artist's-Place". Guest AccessGuests may have access to the kitchen. Refrigerator space is limited, so please bring your own cooler if you will need to keep things cold that are larger than what you would find in a lunch box. Please do not cook or prepare food in the kitchen after 9PM. Please feel free to use the dining room as we would prefer folks not eating meals in the bedroom. We provide coffee, tea, and usually have breakfast treats out for you as well, often home-baked using fine and fresh ingredients from the local farm. I can try to accommodate dietary restrictions if you tell me in advance. Interaction with GuestsAs much or as little as you'd like. We are here to help you enjoy your stay. When we travel, we sometimes appreciate company, sometimes we like to do things on our own. We respect what works for you. The NeighborhoodWe live right down the street from Maple Acres Farm (pick you own strawberries!), but because we are in a suburb of Philadelphia, we have Whole Foods, restaurants, a movie theatre, an Italian restaurant (Arugula) and healthy fast food (Bryn & Dane's) within walking distance, and the mall is less than 5 miles away if you want that, and the major highways of 276 (Pennsylvania Turnpike) and The Blue Route (476) are right here also. You can get to the center of the city in 25-30 mins depending on traffic. My home is in a funny little pocket where the suburbs meets rural right down the street, where you can find a working farm and 60+ acres of preserved farm land/meadows. We hope you enjoy it here! Conshohocken is very close (8 min car ride) for those of you coming here to take your medical exams. We have had a few folks stop here to relax and get a great night's sleep before the big day! Getting AroundCar would be best, but, there are buses and a commuter train less than 10 miles away. If I am able, I may be able to pick you up at the Spring Mill (Septa Norristown line) commuter rail station if I am around. Please ask ahead of time to see if that is a possibility. It is a 7 minute car ride away.
I also rent out the entire 3 bedroom house during certain weeks, so please look at my other listing! No smoking inside the house, please. We can be a little tricky to find, but we will give you specific directions once you book with us. Other Things to NoteWe sometimes rent the Lovely Queen Bedroom as well, so you may have other guests in the house. I screen my guests, and do not feature instant book. You will be sharing the bathroom. We encourage getting to know others in the common areas, but also respect your privacy if you want to just relax on your own in your room. We value quiet time after 10PM.
