The SpaceThis is the 2nd Bedroom in a 2nd story 3 bedroom luxury apartment. You'll get a key to same front door we use. It's a cozy size, has large windows with ceiling fan, curtains & blinds, a really comfortable Serta bed, a full closet, a small desk, large dresser, and a TV w/ DirectTV & DVR.
Your bathroom is next door to your room and considered the 'main' bathroom of the house. Except for very occasional use by us or when family visits, you will be the only one using it. I make sure it's sparkling when you arrive, and I provide cleaning products for you to keep it at the level of cleanliness you like during your stay. Guest AccessYou'll have a designated, off street parking spot, access to the kitchen and all it's contents, our own washer & dryer, including soap & fabric softener, access to all the common areas, and the main bathroom of the apartment is for just you.
Sheets, towels, toilet tissue, hand soap & a hair dryer are all available for your use. The towels have hardly been used, and the sheets & pillows are the same I buy for our bed. My washer has a sanitize mode, and between guests, I wash the sheets, blanket, and pillows using it.
We designate fridge & pantry space for you if you like. Interaction with GuestsWe live here, and will be here during your stay.
She's a professional with an office position and he is a diesel mechanic.
We are down to earth, quiet and easy to get along with.
We prefer longer term guests, and will reflect this in reduced rates for weekly or monthly guests. We both work full time, so we are in and out and we have 2 friendly cats. The NeighborhoodThe apartments are often mistaken for townhouses from the outside. Judging from the vehicles, lots of neighbors are oil & gas professionals, but there is also a good mix of families, couples and singles here. It is also pet friendly, so you'll see people walking dogs.
This is a rapidly growing area with new things being built right now.
Within 3 miles you can find, 2 on-ramps to Interstates 79 & 70, the Casino, Tanger Outlets, 5 gas stations, a driving range, Giant Eagle, Walmart, Sam's Club, Olive Garden, Outback, 2 Japanese steak houses, most fast foods (including a Chik-Fil-A), Panera, 2 Starbucks and a many more similar establishments. Both local and state police stations are also very nearby. Getting AroundYou will need your own car. Public transit technically exists, but is so convoluted and limited in it's routes, that it's nearly impossible to use. There is a convenient-to-get-to Park & Ride lot to take you into Pittsburgh - but the ride itself is a time investment.
Easy 35 minute drive to the airport.
About the same to get to downtown Pittsburgh, without traffic. Factor in more time depending on the hour of the day, how many tunnels are under construction, and the number of professional sporting events occurring that day. Other Things to NoteEveryone is welcome, we've just noticed that most people looking are traveling for the oil & gas industry. We do hope you feel comfortable using the common areas...there's no need to stay holed up in your room, unless you want to.
For a short stay, a couple would be comfortable, but for a longer stay, it could become challenging for you.
