You can canoe and fish on the lake; hike on the trail in the woods; bike, relax on the deck; do your yoga on the lakefront lawn; set a bonfire in the evening while enjoying a glass of wine; or write that book of yours … You may also enjoy downtown waterfires, concerts in vineyards (Greenvale or Sakonnet) in the summer, or local microbrewery tours, or yoga ... This listing is for the Rose room for two people. You may share the upstairs bathroom with guests in the other room. For additional people of any age we have cots for $20/pp/night. Your desk could be used as a makeup dresser with a mirror when you flip-open the top.
Although we don't serve breakfast, there are some basic breakfast items in the refrigerator and kitchen counter top including milk, juice, half and half, coffee, tea, bread/toast, cereal, eggs, butter, jam, peanut butter, fruit, etc. Please help yourself. You are welcome to bring your own food. There are spaces in the refrigerator. If you stay with us for more than a week, you would be invited to have dinner with us for at least once a week.
We live in the master suite at the other side of house but share with you a large kitchen, a dining area with a working fireplace, a living room with a bar, and washer/dryer in the basement.
You will sleep on pillow-top mattress and air dried sheets. All linens and towels are supplied. House has a gas grill and very large, multi-level decks. Rental also includes the shared use of a canoe and fishing equipment, wireless internet service. Please notice that we don't have a TV connection. However, you will have unlimited high-speed Internet connection if you want to watch a movie online.

You would need a car to visit nearby cities like Newport, Providence. We could provide the transportation for TF Green airport or train station for $20/each trip; for Providence and north Kingstown train stations for $30/each trip.
You may use our bicycles to grocery stores or restaurants. Coventry Greenway bicycle trail is not far a way.
Located on a peaceful dead-end road, the house is only 5 minutes away from I-95, exit 7 and conveniently located from Newport (35 minutes), Providence (25 minutes), RI beaches (15 to 40 minutes), Boston (70 minutes), New Haven (2 hours), New York City (3 hours). Airport and train station are 15 minutes away.
There are many restaurants within 15 minutes drive distance, from casual to fine dining. However, if you would rather stay at home for dinner but don’t feel like to cook, there are two Dave’s Marketplace grocery stores nearby where you can find your favorite meals "On-The-Go", cold and hot. 1.This is a safe neighborhood. You don’t need to lock up the house every time when you leave the house during the day. You may want to lock your room for your own comfort.
2.We only have an antenna for limited TV channels on a sunny day. However, we have unlimited high speed wireless Internet for you. The ID for wireless Internet “DDW(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)G” or “DDW(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)G” and the password D(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).Please help yourself to Keurig coffee/tea, and to any food or fruit on the kitchen island, and in the refrig.
4.If you want to use the kitchen or grill, we do expect you to clean up after yourself. If you would like to eat at home but don't feel like cooking, you can buy very nice meals, cold and hot, from the Dave's Marketplace.
5.We usually have dinner on the upper deck if the weather allows. Please feel free to sit with us if you want.
6.We are not expecting you to bring friends to the house, unless there is an agreement made ahead.
7.If you feel like something to drink in the evening, you may take any drinks that you like from the bar area. We expect that you leave a “tip” in the jar.
8.We sometime set a bonfire in the evening; please feel free to join us. If you would like to set a bonfire, just talk to us. You are expected to bring your own logs. This is a quiet neighborhood. Please not too loud. No bonfire after 11pm.
9.For canoeing, we have floatation cushions and vests in the shed. Canoeing is not allowed after sunset.
10.There are some nice hiking trails in the woods nearby. Please ask us for directions and the bug spray.
11.For fishing, adults will need to buy a license in a bait store. You can ask Dan for fishing gear. The nearest store to buy bait: Sandy Bottom Bait & Tackle – 97 Sandy Bottom Road, Coventry, (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). We have two bicycles and two grills for you to use.
13.The garbage and recycle day is Friday morning. To save the environment, please put all recyclable items (see the list on refrigerator door) in the basket in the kitchen or in two blue bins outside the kitchen deck; compostable item in the jar with lid by the sink (if it is full, dump it in a bucket outside kitchen door).
14. No shoes in bed please. We have a luggage rack in each room. Please don’t put your luggage on bed.

“Besos Kitchen & Cocktails” is located in the heart of East Greenwich downtown, and has very nice outdoor seating and very good food. Our guests loved “Rack of Lamb” and “Spicy Salmon”, and “Crème Brulee”. “The Shanty” changes menu on a regular basis as they strive to use only the freshest, locally available ingredients. Day-Trip in Point Judith
You can enjoy the beach, seafood markets, and watching fishing boats in/out. You can also take a ferry from there to Block Island for a day trip. Dining at “Aunt Carries” (BYOB! 1240 Ocean Rd, Narragansett, (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)) – the RI local favorite for clam cake and chowder, and lobster rolls. Suggest parking behind the Aunt Carries Ice cream stand cross street-try the ginger ice cream.
