The SpaceCome stay in this eclectic four-room, second-floor pied-à-terre. in the funky Eastbay town of Warren, RI; the smallest town in the smallest county in the smallest state.
Located in a c1842 Historic Greek Revival in the heart of the Historic Waterfront Village only 15 minutes to Providence and 30 to Newport. Offers all the cozy comforts of home with new updated interior, bedroom, dressing room, living room, kitchen w/ new stainless steel appliances, small but adequate bathroom, hardwood floors throughout, flat screen TV for Movies, antiques, local art and historic charm found in a historic house.
Just one block to Main & Water Street restaurants, shops, boutiques and cafes, we can share our best spots! You will also be able to wander the local streets to visit our antique shops and galleries or the renowned 2nd Story Theatre for some of the best local theatre in the state.
And just in case you didn't know, Rhode Island is considered the "Ocean State" with over 400 miles of coastline and some of the best beaches & sailing in the world are right here within 30 -60 minutes!!
If bicycling (2 can be provided upon request) or walking is something you like to do, not only is the local architecture worth seeing but the 14.5 mile Eastbay Bike Path is accessible two blocks away. This will take you to either Bristol or Providence along the scenic local waterways.
Because it is so small, you can explore the rest of Rhode Island by taking Public Transportation from at least Providence to Newport; from there you can take buses to the West Bay.
Did we tell you that we’re only a stone’s throw away from the Massachusetts border? Day tripping is easy with Boston, Cape Cod and the islands a quick one hour drive away; though we can’t imagine why you would ever want to leave our delightful waterfront hamlet.
Guest AccessSide Door to Stairway to Private Apt.
Brick Patio Outside Interaction with GuestsWe like to at least meet and greet when possible. We live in the same house, and although the apt. is on the 2nd fl. and is private, it is an old house and we also have a room on the same floor we use so you may hear some chatter or my dog barking from time to time. The NeighborhoodI love the walkability of my neighborhood and if you walk around you catch little peaks of steeples, paths, water and other historic buildings. The coffee shop is always a buzz and if you've always wondered what a Coffee Cabinet is, you can experience a RI icon on Main St. at an old fashion Soda Counter, Deleckta's Pharmacy...a must!! We have the wonderful highly acclaimed 2nd Story Theatre and many new restaurants to enjoy before, all just a short walk away.
Should you want to explore Newport, you may want to try a fun food tour which I just started in 2015, among other things it's a great way to spend an afternoon. Tours fill up fast so book ahead at Rhode Island Red Food Tours. Getting AroundThere is a Commuter Bus nearby on the top of the street to Prov., Bristol or Newport. Otherwise, it is a very walkable neighborhood. Other Things to NoteI have many magazines and local brochures from around the area which could be helpful in finding recommendations for restaurants, shopping & things to do.
We do supply some pots, pans and kitchenware but if you need anything feel free to send me a text, call or knock on our door, I am happy to supply you with whatever you need.
