The SpaceJust 5 miles to Folly Beach or to Historic Downtown Charleston. I offer a clean & comfortable space in my dog friendly home. Rather you are here on business or pleasure you will feel welcome and invited in a low key home away from home. I have two comfortable guest rooms. One sleeps two the other sleeps one. Unless there are 3 guests traveling together, I usually only rent one room at a time. Guests have access to their own BA across the hall as well as kitchen and living areas, and the back yard patio including the grill. After spending years in the hospitality industry, I love to entertain and even cook for my guest upon occasion. With that being said, it is my number one priority to respect my guest's privacy and be respectful of their time and personal space. I'm very friendly and approachable and happy to engage as little or as much as desired to make my guest stay comfortable. The neighborhood conveniently located 5 miles to the beach and 5 miles to Downtown, with plenty of room to park. Arrangements can also be made for an in-house massage or private yoga lessons. Interaction with GuestsI travel often, but I am usually here to greet my guests when they arrive to make sure they are comfortable and well-informed about the many amenities found close by on James Island. I may be present during your stay, but if not, I am available if you need me. It is completely up to my guests as to our interaction...I won't be offended if you don't want to chat chat and certainly wilI be happy to discuss our local scene should you wish to. Also, I do have a keen sense of knowing when guests need their privacy. ;-) The NeighborhoodConvenient to EVERYTHING, Riverland Terrace is one of the most eclectic and beautiful neighborhoods in the Charleston area. Historic beauty, surrounded by water on two sides, fantastic architecture - and the grand oaks are truly stunning! Within walking distance, the neighborhood boasts one of Charleston's most popular music venues, The Pour House, as well as The Terrace Theater, Charleston's only independent movie theater. Fantastic food and drink are just a short walk away at Crust Woodfire Pizza, The Lot, How Art Thou Jazz Cafe & Wine Bar, Maybank Public House and Zia Taqueria. On Sundays, (mid-March through mid-December), there is a fantastic Farmers Market behind The Pour House (across the street from previously mentioned restaurants) from 11 am - 3 pm, which features some of Charleston's favorite goods, produce & food trucks! Getting AroundCharleston Area Transit Authority (CARTA) has two stops just 2 blocks from my home. Their routes and schedules can be found online - my neighborhood is on Route 31. If you plan to get around town via public transportation, please check the bus schedule BEFORE you book. Otherwise, Uber or taxis are quite affordable ($8-$12 to downtown during non-event dates) ways to get where you want to go. Other Things to NoteAllergy sufferers, UNITE!! My home is very clean and well kept. I use only hypo-allergenic detergents and organic fabric softeners to clean sheets, towels, etc. I do not have pets and have a strict no pets rule. The SpaceFeatured on FYI Network's Tiny House Hunters! Very spacious houseboat with vaulted 12' ceiling in the main cabin (living room). Sleeps 3 comfortably. Lots of room to move around with a queen size bed in the Captain's Quarters (Bedroom) and a twin bed in the living room that's a day bed. The boat is located downtown in a PRIVATE slip at Seabreeze Marina. This accommodation is for people looking for peace and tranquility in a unique and beautiful houseboat. The setting of the marina is quiet and secluded. In your private slip, you'll have a stunning view of Charleston Harbor and the Ravenel Bridge. FAQ: Q: Bathroom, explain! A: The boat is equipped with a house sized water heater ensuring you get hot water throughout the boat. Know, however, that you are staying on a boat. Long hot showers can be difficult. But you'll always have enough hot water to enjoy a 10 - 15 minute shower. The boat has a full sized toilet and we ask that you ONLY always use marine grade toilet paper (included) to ensure it never clogs. Q: Heat? AC? A: Our boats are equipped with BOTH heat and AC. No matter the time of year you visit you can be assured that you will be staying in a nice comfortable environment! Q: What to expect that's different than a hotel? A: It's a boat, it is a unique FUN experience. There may be noises and smells that you'd expect from a boat. Pumps, motors, ocean water, etc. Q: Wave action? A: The marina has a sea wall which dilutes the waves. There is still a small amount of wave action and you'll feel a slight rock from time-to-time. If there's a bad storm or the wave action gets to a point that your stay is no longer enjoyable, we will work out alternative accommodations for you. Your comfort is our top priority. This offer is only if there is abnormal waves due to major storms. 99% of the time the marina is almost totally flat and calm. Q: Handicap accessible? A: No. You'll need to get on the boat which requires a 1-2' step and there are steps on the boat. The deck stairs are steep and you'll need to be sure footed. Q: Space? A: You'll find the layout of the boat extremely spacious and comfortable. Guest AccessYou get to park for free as close to the boat as possible - about 50 yards away. There are dock carts if you want to use them to haul your luggage and stuff down the ramp to the boat. You will get an access code to get onto your boat at the time of your reservation, you use this code to access the boat at any time of the day or night! Interaction with GuestsYou will be given all instructions needed to access the boat for your stay prior to arrival. We are always available to answer any questions or concerns for you, and we do our best to address any individual problems ASAP for you to ensure you have an enjoyable stay! Your satisfaction is our #1 goal! The NeighborhoodExtremely safe and private marina in downtown Charleston. The entrance to the marina is shared with the Port Authority which has a 24/7 guard. There is a train which blocks the road to the marina leading into the port authority but it only comes 1-2X per day. Sometimes it can block the roadway for up to 20 minutes but that is infrequent. Getting AroundCharleston is full of Uber drivers and taxis (we recommend Charleston Green Taxi) to help you get downtown if you did not bring or rent a car. If you do have a car parking is free at the marina and you can park close to the boat. We also provide 3 bicycles for your convenience (supplied for all guests to use so it is a first come first serve basis). Other Things to NoteThe bedroom has a queen sized bed. A third person can sleep on the sofa which converts to a twin sized mattress when all pillow are removed.

The SpaceA hotel room won't give you the insight into Charleston culture that you'll get in this beautiful home in West Ashley. The room has a 42" Smart TV with cable, netflix, and Amazon on-demand. A rolling table slides above the bed for eating breakfast or doing some writing in bed. The home is beautiful decorated and fully furnished. The kitchen is well equipped, and the house counts with a deck with grill. Wireless high speed internet available. Street Parking available. The house has 3 bedrooms. This listing is for the brown bedroom shown in the pictures. Check out my other listings for the blue and green rooms. Interaction with GuestsI travel a lot, but if I'm home you can expect to share some great conversations and hopefully share a mean if the time allows. Breakfast is generally not included, but if I'm home and we're up at the same time, you're always invited to our table. The NeighborhoodLocated right behind the West Ashley Greenway which is perfect for running and biking, this neighborhood is safe and quite without being boring. There is a grocery store, bar, and some restaurants in walking distance, and lively bar scene only 5 minutes by car. Getting AroundA bus takes you downtown from the stop located 1/2 mile from the house, however I recommend having a car if you stay outside downtown Charleston. The drive downtown is about 12 minutes. We're also only 15 minutes from the airport.

The SpaceIt's likely the best and most central location. Tucked away and seems like it's out In the country but just a skip over the bridge and you are down town or a short ride to the beach. It's also around the corner from the Indy movie theater the Terrace and best music venue in town - the pour house, tex mex spot Zia Taqueria has the best margaritas ever!! Walk to drug store and grocery store , Muddy Waters coffee etc. Guest AccessAmenities. Washer, dryer, wifi, cool cats, old guitar (If my friend Kenny gives it back to me), fridge use, kitchen, porch. I have an old school percolater coffee maker. Interaction with GuestsMy interaction is As convenient for both of us. Some nights, I would love to hang out and make dinner or explore the city. Sometimes when you live in a place you never see the sights! Other nights I 'm in n out the door all day. The NeighborhoodNeighborhood: best kept secret. 13 town houses on a dead end street. The lake in back makes it seems far out of the city. Lots of birds pelicans turtles lizards dragonflies and even hawks / herons occasionally. Getting AroundTransportation. the bus CARTA is supposedly nearby but most people will need a car. Busses are not the most reliable. A cab is pricey but better. Uber is like the Air BNB of taxis and we have Uber here (for now). Ideally one should have a car in Charleston unless you plan to stay downtown and move about downtown. The busses dont even go to the Beach. Parking downtown is easy to find. Metered and garages. Parking on Folly beach - Make SURE that ALL 4 TIRES ARE OFF PAVEMENT and make sure you park in the direction of traffic.. cryptic rules that you will be ticketed over!! Other Things to NoteI may need to arrange to leave a key for you if Im at work when you arrive. The bedroom is upstairs at the front of the house, and bathroom is right near the front door. Please park in a spot close to the road. My elderly neighbors have claimed the 4 spots close to the building. Thanks !

The SpaceWhat stay near the water when you can stay on it? Instead of the same boring hotel or vacation condo, stay on a 38' motor yacht docked on the exclusive Sea Islands, minutes from historic Charleston. Walk to local bars and restaurants or cook for yourself inside in the galley. Outdoor space: -Aft deck (covered) with love seat, chairs and table -Forward deck (great for sunbathing) -Bridge with benches (full canvas) Indoor space: -2 Staterooms, aka Bedrooms (1 queen, 1 full) -2 Heads, aka Bathrooms (1 attached to master stateroom, both with separate stand-up showers) -Galley, aka Kitchen (fridge, microwave, blender, Keurig coffee maker, toaster oven) -Main Salon, aka Living Room with couch, chair, coffee table that doubles as a dining table -A/C and Heat throughout Bonuses: -Beautiful sunsets -All linens included -Beach towels -Beach chairs -Lending library of books -Games The boat does not leave the dock during your stay and you do not share her with other guests. I also have arrangements with other providers, so anything that you need (from provisioning to catered meals to kayak excursions to sunset sailing) can be arranged for you. Horizon Seeker is perfect for couples, small families, and other getaways. If you have never been on a boat before, don't despair. It's easy and I will walk you through everything. Two things to keep in mind: 1. The walk from the parking lot to the boat is about 5 minutes. It's a dock with a ramp. We have dock carts to help you bring your items to the boat. There is a small staircase with 5 steps to get onto the boat. 2. Please note that sometimes boats smell funny since you are sitting in salt water and engines and other mechanics are all contained on the boat. Pets are allowed by special arrangement. Contact me directly for more information. Contact me for availability and special rates. There are three restaurants on-site, and between them you can eat and drink all day long. You can walk or bike to Freshfields Village. The beach is a short drive or bike ride away. Guest AccessYou'll have the boat to yourself during your visit. We spend the weekends closer to home, unless the farmer's market is in season. The NeighborhoodThis neighborhood has the feeling of being off the beaten path while still being accessible to downtown, the beach and great restaurants. A short walk down the road brings you to the golf course, which has a nice walking/running path. We're a five minute drive (or you could bike) from local hot spots such as the Pour House and the Terrace Theater, as well as a handful of good restaurants. Downtown and Folly Beach are a 15-minute drive and there is also a county park down the road. From Spring to late Fall there is a farmer's market on Sundays behind the Pour House that features local farmers, food trucks and artisans. If you are a medical student or traveling nurse, we are 5-20 minutes (depending on traffic) from MUSC. Getting AroundThe bus stops outside the neighborhood and runs from downtown to Folly beach. It is highly recommended that guests rent or use their own car - this is the best way to get around Charleston unless you live downtown. Unfortunately, the city does not have very good public transportation. Other Things to NoteGuests should plan to either rent a car for their stay or have access to one. There is free on-street parking outside the house.
