The SpaceThree bedroom, 3.5 Bath (full bath in each bedroom), sleeps 6 possibly more. Excellent for family vacations or a relaxing getaway!! This spacious home is surrounded with the natural beauty of island living, yet it's only 10 minutes from historic downtown Charleston. It is also just an earshot of the ocean's pounding waves (1 mile from Folly Beach). The custom design affords an unrestricted view of its natural habitat on deep water and surrounding wildlife. Bring your camera! You can't get any closer to nature than this! Wading egrets, diving pelicans and passing dolphins are frequently seen here. Also enjoy use of the dock for fishing and crabbing. The island's sole thoroughfare is ideal for walking, jogging or biking. Kayaking lessons are available on the island along with equipment rentals. Para-sailing and sightseeing tours by boat are also available nearby. This home is equipped with all modern living facilities. Linens, bedding, cooking utensils and paper products are included. Gas grill is also available for a small fee to cover gas use and cleaning. Travel by boat to Kiawah and Seabrook islands in just minutes. There are 2 queen beds, 1 king bed and 2 more queen airbeds available for accommodation of up to 8 people. Thereafter is an additional $10/person per night. Guest AccessGuests have access to a dock as well as free wifi in the home. There is a boat landing less than a mile away for those who wish to bring their boat. Interaction with GuestsI live in California therefore I do not interact with the guests. However, I am always available via phone, text, or email to answer questions about the house, area, or provide suggestions on activities or places to eat, etc. The caretaker of the home is also available in the event that maintenance issues arise. The NeighborhoodWe are located in a quiet and secluded neighborhood. Those who enjoy serenity and privacy will love it here. We have a neighboring house on either side of us but just one neighbor on our cul-de-sac. It's a lovely neighborhood for taking a nice morning or afternoon stroll. Everyone is friendly here! Getting AroundThere is a public bus system closer to and within downtown but there is not one available at the beach. However, the beach is only about a 1.25 mile walk/bike ride. There is a bike path adjacent to the road leading to the beach (may not be suitable for children as there is no barrier and the road's speed limit is 35mph). Great for the summertime when beach traffic is heavy and parking can be limited. There are also a few cab companies. Other Things to NotePlease note there is a "mother-in-law" suite portion of the home (above the garage) that is occupied by long-term tenants. The suite has its own complete amenities and separate entrance so you will likely not see them. Please be respectful of the occupants as they are a quiet retired couple who do the same of our guests.

The SpaceThere are 2 floors, each of which has a full kitchen, living room and 2 bedrooms! The space is also dog friendly and features a large fenced in back yard. Guest AccessThe entire house and yard. Unfortunately we do keep the garage locked as we just use that for general storage (lawn mower, paint, etc). Interaction with GuestsSince you are renting a home, i want you to feel like it is YOUR home, without me intruding at all. If you need me, I live on Folly and can very quickly respond, but as yet I've never had to come to the house for any reason during a rental. House is in great shape and cleaned thoroughly upon arrival, so there aren't ever any issues :) The NeighborhoodThe house is close enough to the main strip of Folly to have everything accessible, but far enough away to not have any of the noise or traffic. Getting AroundThere is plenty of parking at the house, and the location is perfect to walk to anywhere on Folly. We are approximately 7-8 miles from downtown Charleston. Other Things to NoteFrom the months of May - August, we only accept weekly rentals.

The SpaceEnjoy "Island Time" on beautiful James Island. We are located 10 minutes to Charleston the Holy City and only 2 minutes to Folly Beach. Amenities abound in this elevated 3 bedroom home. In addition to your bedroom, you also have access to a private deck, PRIVATE BATH, covered porch (with hammocks) and a den, complete with a TV, wine cooler (which you have unlimited wine for no cost) , wet bar and a full size (fully stocked) fridge and kitchenette. There is also a laundry in your area for your use. We do share the stairway only, so you may see us come up at night with the dogs. If motivated, a fully equipped exercise room next to your room is available, and after a long day, relax in your Jacuzzi tub (in your private bath). All 5 rooms Plus the Media Room is all yours. This is a single bedroom suite, with 3 additional rooms. Not to be confused with 4 bedrooms. I have another bed in the exercise room that can be used as a 2nd bedroom. Parents love having babies stay in the media/theater room with it's soundproofed walls and blackout curtains. Relax on your private deck with some wine and take in the gorgeous marsh sunsets. Or nap away the afternoon on a hammock on the covered porch. For the more active vacationers, you have access to walk the acres of protected salt marsh, right in your back yard. You may choose to bike the two miles to folly beach, or take a 3 mile hike on the marsh lined nature trail, one block away(URL HIDDEN)try to provide anything you may need for your stay. I give you bath salts for the Jacuzzi, bathroom supplies, bikes to ride to the beach, beach towels and beach chairs with books. I also will provide complimentary beer, wine, cereal, bagels, fruit, juice, milk, soda, coffee, tea, and fresh muffins. Don't worry, there is no additional charge for any of this. The full size fridge in your suite is fully stocked but still has plenty of room to bring your favorite goodies. Don't worry, if mother nature steps in and ruins your outdoor plans, we can set you up in our unique home theatre. Imagine watching the game on a 10 foot screen. Now with NFL SUNDAY TICKET , and all movie channels thru Directv in all rooms. We also have over 600 movies available for your watching pleasure. So if you love crabbing, shrimping, swimming, biking, bocci ball, croquet, relaxing, and having an all around fun time. Come on over, we know you'll love it. If you have a third guest/ child we change the exercise room to a second bedroom. We have a twin bed or queen inflatable for your use in that extra room if needed. Guest AccessGuests have the full right side of the house. There are common stairs that go upstairs but we never go in your areas except for delivering breakfast and a daily clean up. The upper front porch which has your personal hammocks, the upper sun deck for lounging out in the recliners, the home theater room is also yours, as is your private bath, private den, laundry, and kitchenette area in the den. We only have one set of guests at a time, so no need to share areas. This is all yours. Interaction with GuestsI will give the grand tour, and then leave it up to you. Some guests love interaction, and some prefer the privacy. I do not push anything on anyone. It is your vacation, do as you please. We both work seven days , and are downstairs in the evenings till bedtime. So we are available if needed but are on different floors 90% of the time. You may see us go to bed , since we share the stair way and will need to walk by your den. Other than that we try to give you all the privacy we can. The NeighborhoodIt is a very small neighborhood with only two streets. This is a married with no children development and is very quiet. Everyone is very welcoming and dog friendly. Getting AroundYes there is buses available and it is easily accessible being only 2 blocks away. Once you arrive downtown there are trolleys to be taken, rickshaws are also very easily obtained. There is plenty of parking in the driveway, and we have listings of cab companies in the room if you need a ride anywhere. Other Things to NoteUnfortunately we need to say we can,t host dogs under 30 pounds. Our golden seem to intimidate little dogs, and our dogs and ourselves are getting bit. If your dog is aggressive, you need to know that our dogs will walk by your den when going to bed, so probably not a good fit.

    This lovely ocean view home has 4 bedrooms which includes 2 master suites and a total of 3 bathrooms. It has been completely repainted and refurnished. Each Master has its own sitting area for a little quiet time and there is another sitting area just off the living area. The living area boasts a 50' Flat screen TV. There are also flat screen tvs in 3 of the 4 bedrooms, two are smart TV's. One of the bathrooms even has an old fashioned claw foot tub perfect for a long luxurious soak. The dining area has a wonderful table that will seat 8-10. The beach access is just across the street. This is the perfect house for an incredible and memorable Folly Beach Vacation. Our beach home has been in our family for decades. We grew up in the Charleston area. My Mom first purchased the unit as beach rental property, then retired in the home in the mid 1990's. I am the second generation owner. It has two bedrooms with nice comfortable queen beds, two full baths, plus a queen sized pull out sofa bed in the living room. One bedroom is a master with a bathroom (shower only), the other bathroom is in the hallway outside of the second bedroom (shower/tub combo). It is lake front, 5 minutes from Folly Beach and 15 to 20 minutes from downtown Charleston. This neighborhood is a collection of eclectic homes surrounded by marsh and tidal creeks where Moms walk with strollers in the evening and children ride their bikes after school. Full kitchen, dining room and living room. Dishwasher, washer and dryer, cable and WiFi. Regular drip coffee maker, and a K-cup coffee maker. Front porch on the street side, and back patio overlooking the lake. Plenty of outside seating. Plenty of parking. Cotton sheets provided! Harris Teeter within walking distance.       The SpaceThis vacation home is a one-level, two bedroom, two-bath condominium in the gated Mariner's Cay complex in Folly Beach, South Carolina, USA. The home is situated directly on the Folly River and has great views of the river, the sunsets and the activity at the Mariner's Cay Marina. The screened porch overlooking the back yard and the marina is a great place for dining, reading and relaxing. The master bedroom opens to the porch as does the main living area. The entire condominium has just undergone complete redecorating and refurbishment with new floors inside, ceramic tile on the porch and new furnishings, including twin beds in the guest room. The home is all on one level with only a short set of stairs from the parking area to the front door and another set off of the porch into the back yard. We love having direct access to the back yard and the marina area. The home is well-maintained and nicely furnished with all of the expected conveniences including cable, Smart TV and DVD player. The complex has two lighted tennis courts, a large pool and is a great place from which to launch your adventures -- kayaking, boating and fishing the river, riding bikes, surfing and long walks in and around Folly Beach are some of the favorite activities. The beach is less than a mile away by car, bike or walking. Historic downtown Charleston is a 15 minute drive. You can tell by the photos that this condo is a cut above the normal rental condo in this complex. It is this way for a reason --- because we care about it and know that when it is nicely kept our guests will do the same. I have recently been in some of the other condos that are used for rentals and you get what you pay for. You can tell immediately that the owners have intended them to be rentals only and they are furnished, equipped and treated that way. This one is different and we welcome you to find out for yourself. We have owned a nice place in this complex since 1989 and see it as our home, not simply a rental.       The SpaceThe space has a large open living room, beautifully furnished with plenty of room for all the guests. The kitchen is equipped with all modern appliances. There is a large deck complete with comfortable seating and outside grill for cooking and relaxing on summer nights. There is central air conditioning and a working fireplace. All of the rooms have ceiling fans and beautiful lighting. The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of closet space. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a full master bath including an oversized tub and shower. The two additional bedrooms have full size beds. Guest AccessGuests will have full access to the house and it's contents. Linens and towels are included. There is a washer/dryer, dishwasher, coffee machine (Keurig), microwave, garbage disposal and fully stocked kitchen. We have a few beach chairs/towels that you are welcome to. Folly Beach is less than 2 miles (5mins) down the road. Downtown Charleston is 12 miles (20mins). Interaction with GuestsWe are available for all of your questions at any time before, during or after your stay at Tern's Nest. We are just a phone call away and will do our best to make your stay better than you imagined. This is a new home for us and we are new to renting it out. We welcome your feedback and requests. We do live out of state so we will not be there at time of your stay. However, we have local support and will make sure we address all of your concerns.

      The SpaceThe Island Girl' is a clean, Sweet Ole Cottage which has entertained happy folks for years and enjoyed some recent renovations and upgrades, including a BRAND NEW fully equipped bathroom, sun deck and screened porch as well as new furniture, etc! The tenants who have stayed with her, loved her so much, they say they wish they could stay forever. Pack a bag, throw in some flip flops, a swim suit and leave your worries behind at the Island Girl! Located JUST ACROSS THE STREET from the BEACH (How Sweet is That?) and only two blocks from the Famous Bert's Market where you can buy anything from ice, to batteries, to organic vegetables, sushi and craft beer, the Island Girl is your key to relaxation. On the first floor, you have plenty of space to relax in the large family room, enjoy a family meal in the dining room or just relax on the screened-in porch while drinking your morning coffee. Upstairs, there are 3 nicely sized bedrooms, a full bath and entry to the sun porch which looks over the palms. Need some time away from the sun? No problem! Our backyard is nicely shaded from all of the beautiful, mature palm trees and there is even an outdoor shower to wash off the sand from your day at the beach. At Folly Beach, you will discover the beauty and diversity of our quaint beach town! Referred to as the 'Edge of America', the town of Folly is very casual, and the locals are friendly. You will enjoy amazing sunrises and sunsets, rich history, good food, expansive beaches, and a town center pier for fishing and sightseeing. Within steps of each other on Center Street, you'll find many restaurants, from upscale to the cool dive. Seafood is always fresh and available everywhere; but no fear, for the non-connoisseur there are taco shops and burger bars. Cool shops abound. And, surfing is big here, so bring your board or sign up for a lesson. A clean and beautiful beach, there is plenty to do at Folly with wonderful swimming, surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, sun bathing, people watching, finding seashells, running and biking on the beach, and just doing what you want to do. Need to work off some energy after lounging at the beach? Just two blocks away is a wonderful Public Playground ,Tennis and Basketball Court. And, if too sunburned, the charming and historic Charleston is just a short drive away. There you can enjoy some of the best restaurants on the East coast, explore the French Market, picnic at Waterfront or take a horse drawn carriage ride through the Holy City. Do some shopping on King Street, stroll through one of our beautiful museums, take a sunset cruise through the harbor or stop by one of the city's hot spots to people watch (including celebrities!) Looking for a special or romantic weekend getaway and would like to customize your stay? No problem! It’s truly the fun spot to stay here on Folly Beach. The kitchen, dining and living areas are all connected in one bright and open space with large boardwalk tile floors throughout. Catch a fish and prepare a great meal in the kitchen a chef could enjoy. Well-equipped with cooking utensils, stainless steel appliances, deep farmhouse sink and butcher-block countertops. Guest AccessIn the house there is a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom towels, bed linens, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, toaster, coffee maker, coffee filters. We do not provide beach towels. Please do not use bathroom towels for the beach and please avoid wearing shoes in the house. We prefer you leave them on screened porch or black bench inside side door on beach access path side of house. Thank you! Interaction with GuestsWe are available for contact as often as our guests need. We like to inform guests of as much as possible before they arrive so that they are prepared. We also provide a black binder of recommendations and instructions at the house. Guests seldom contact us during their stay. We check in prior to arrival for access instructions and before check out just to be sure all is in good order and the guests know what to do before checking out. The NeighborhoodWe are the perfect distance to the beach, shops, restaurants and Center street. It's an easy 2 block walk to the beach and 1 block to Center Street. While we are close to everything, the house is tucked away enough from the beaten path to enjoy plenty of quiet and privacy. Getting AroundWe recommend walking everywhere you go because you can! A trip to the larger grocery store - Harris Teeter at 1985 Folly Road - will require a 5 minute car ride. There is also a fabulous convenience store 2 blocks East - Berts Market - 202 E Ashley Ave. They sell just about anything you might need, drinks (beer/wine included) food, snacks, diapers, toilet paper, paper towels, medicine, first aide, coffee, baked items, freshly prepared sushi, sandwiches, salads and more!! Other Things to Note1. Prior to Check Out we request guests remove bed sheets and pillow cases and start 1 load of sheets in the wash prior to checkout. If both beds were used please leave the other set of used sheets as well as all used towels in a pile on top of washing machine with a note that says "Please wash" . Please let Ellery know if it appears we are low on supplies such as TP, PT, Dishwashing Soap, Dish Washing Machine Liquid Soap or Laundry Detergent. You may text her at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). Water's Edge is located on the beautiful and scenic Folly River, just a few short blocks from the beach and eclectic town of Folly. Folly is a beach town with a laid back island charm, known by residents as the 'Edge of America.' It is a family beach community with undeveloped parks on either end of the island and a newly-enlarged recreational boat landing just 1 block from Waters Edge. Our Three Bedroom, Three Bathroom, 1600 square-foot townhome sleeps eight (upstairs, there is a king in the master and a queen in the guest bedrooms; downstairs, there is a queen in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the den). The home includes many upgrades including hardwoods throughout, granite countertops, ten-foot ceilings. A screened porch on the main level and a second-floor balcony off the master bedroom provide beautiful views of the marsh and river. TVs in each room. There is no end to the fun and activities your family and guests can enjoy. Start the day with a slow bike ride around the island or on the beach (bikes are included for your use). If you prefer, you can walk to the beach and soak up the sun and expansive surf of Folly Beach, where you can rent jet skis, surfboards, windsurfers and sailboats. Or you can take advantage of the family-friendly 1,000-foot fishing pier, also within walking distance. Of course, you can also stay right at Waters Edge, which includes a community pool and a community dock, both great places to enjoy fabulous sunsets over the Folly River. You can always explore the quaint town of Folly Beach, and its surf shops, great seafood restaurants, and local bars.       The SpaceWe love this house and this part of Folly Beach. Apart from the Washout, it's the skinniest part of the island, so you get views across the marsh while also being a one minute walk out to the beach, and 9th block is a nice place to surf, especially for those who don't like to be crowded in the water. We have tried to provide everything we would want in the apartment as seasoned AirBnb travelers ourselves, and we are upstairs if you need anything else or just want to hang out! The suite has one bedroom with a queen size bed, and a trundle bed in the living room that pulls out to two twins or can be made up as a second queen. Children 3 and under are free. If you are bringing two children and each are under 12 you can book it as one extra person instead of two. We allow one small dog between October and April (when dogs are allowed on the beach) but not in the summer when you'd have to leave them in the house all day. To bring a dog, we require pre-approval and a fully refundable security deposit paid upon arrival. We do not have a fenced in yard. There is plenty of parking and A/C is a big window unit with remote, plus a smaller unit in the bedroom. Guest AccessWe are pretty easy going about sharing our toys. We have at least one surfboard guests can borrow, plus beach chairs, a cooler and a fleet of (rusty) beach cruiser bicycles. Interaction with GuestsWe live upstairs, but you may only see us upon arrival. If we're free, we're up for going to Center Street for dinner or paddling out for a surf together. The NeighborhoodIt's Folly Beach - the locals' beach! Life doesn't get much better than it is here. Getting AroundWe are one mile from Center Street, so you could feasibly stay here without a car and walk or bike, but you would need transportation on and off the island. There is no public transport to and from Folly Beach. Other Things to NoteIn January 2016 we increased our prices by 14% to account for taxes taken by the City of Folly Beach, Charleston County and the State of South Carolina. Looking out of the windows of this home onto the marsh is like looking at an oil painting changing subtly throughout the days and seasons. Spartina grass, pluff mud, and tidal marsh bring birds of every variety to your view, including herons, osprey, and on special occasions, bald eagles. Dolphin swim up this tidal creek daily and it is not uncommon to see them chasing fish onto the creek banks for a dolphin buffet in the early mornings or late afternoons. The shared dock allows for close-to-nature experiences, crabbing, and access for hand-launched john boats or kayaks (not provided). This home's architecture is reminiscent of a mountain lodge with rustic exposed beams, but has all the luxury features one would expect of this distinct island home. There are hardwood floors throughout, Corian countertops, new stainless steel appliances, a wet bar and additional icemaker, a 46-inch plasma television in the living room and televisions in 3 bedrooms, as well as wireless internet.
