The SpaceNew house with access to neighborhood swimming pool. It comfortably hosts four and is centrally located on lovely John's Island, just 10 minutes drive from downtown Charleston. Enjoy a gourmet kitchen, garden and BBQ with easy access to Folly Beach and downtown Charleston. It takes about 10-15 minutes to drive downtown and about 20 to the local beaches, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms and Folly Beach. There are hardwood floors throughout this pet-free home. Both the bedrooms have queen size beds with free high speed secured wireless internet. There are sizable closets and two full baths. The kitchen is new and well stocked with plenty of cookware, glasses, plates and utensils. I am frequently in Europe visiting my family and then you have the house to yourselves. However, when I am here in Charleston, I will stay on the premises in a private suite and, therefore, I will offer you the discounted rate of $88/night and also I follow the airbnb price tips in the off-season, so sometimes the price is even lower! The calendar is regularly updated and we can email with any questions that you may have. You will have your own private rooms and private bathrooms and you will have the rest of the whole house. This arrangement has worked very well for other guests and I hope that it works for you, too! I only accept children over the age of 5- sorry for any inconvenience. The Ladson Fairgrounds is home to a weekly flea market & the fair in late October, early November. You may enjoy historical home tours, carriage rides, harbor boat tours, ghost walks & golf courses. The Wadmalaw Tea Farm (only tea made in America) & the Firefly Vodka tasting tours. Wonderful tours at Boone Hall Plantation & Magnolia Gardens. Shop famous King St stores & boutiques. Beaches offer para-sailing, stand up paddle board, surfing, deep sea fishing, sea shell collecting & more. Wonderful restaurants & bars in every part of town & surrounding areas. Depending on the month you attend its not uncommon to find some sort of oyster roast or festival. Charleston is home to the famous Spoleto Festival & the Southeastern Wildlife Expo. Spring Charleston’s Festival of Houses and Gardens While Paris in springtime may be memorialized in song, the beauty of Charleston this time of the year speaks for itself. As the magnolia trees and flowers bloom, the city’s stately historic homes open their doors each year from mid-March to mid-April for the annual Festival of Houses and Gardens. The SpaceHome with full separate bath about 10-15 minutes from all the action in Charleston. Close to the convergence of I-526, Hwy 7 and Hwy 17 in Charleston's West Ashley section. Less than 15 minutes from Charleston International Airport. The space with private bath is on the second floor of the home so you will have privacy and not be disturbed and do not have to concern yourself with disturbing others. Comfortable room; comfortable queen size bed with "Down Alternative" topper. We have free wifi. Brand new carpeting installed February 2015. No cleaning fee. Coffee, bagels with cream cheese, yogurt, orange juice and cereal in the morning. Close to many terrific restaurants! The SpaceThis cozy studio apartment, built over the garage with parking for guests, is situated among large oak trees overlooking lowcountry marsh/tidal creek from one window and a tropical garden from another. The 'big' house and guest apartment is on 16 wooded but manicured acres, with a working greenhouse nursery on the other end of the property. We are on the upper end of Johns Island far enough out to provide peace and quiet yet less than 30 minutes from downtown Charleston and the beaches of Kiawah and Folly. There is one full size bed and an optional twin size airbed which can be utilized for a third person. Guest AccessGuests will have use of the dock for fishing, swimming, kayaking or just loafing. Guests must sign a waiver before using the kayaks. There is a deck for alfresco dining and use of a grill should you wish to make dinner. You can stroll in the tropical garden or go for a hike on the wooded property. Excellent bird watching and you might get to see dolphins strand feeding! Interaction with GuestsThis is a private space, totally self-sufficient, so host will be present, but not necessarily available to interact with guests. Verizon Wireless and Sprint both have very good 4G service in the area which is accessible through your smartphone. The NeighborhoodBeautiful wooded, rural setting offering privacy along with peace and quiet. Getting AroundGuests must provide own transportation. Garage space connected with the apartment is available for covered parking. Other Things to NoteThere is a hammock on the covered dock for guests' use. Kitchen has coffee maker and microwave. It is also stocked with tea, sugar and honey if you prefer to start your day that way. There is a local farmers' market a few minutes away as well as conventional grocery stores.

The West Ashley Greenway is available and provides miles of walking, jogging, or biking. The room is on the 2nd level of the living space (3rd level of the house) and has a queen bed and full bathroom. All linens and towels are provided. Interaction with GuestsWe are flexible depending on everyone's schedule. We understand if you prefer privacy and can stay to ourselves, but we're more than happy to chat and be friendly and provide suggestions on shopping and restaurants if you need us to. The NeighborhoodWe met in the neighborhood and really love it. We actually just bought this house and still own 2 others because we didn't want to leave the area. We have great neighbors and easy access to shopping, restaurants, beaches, and the Interstate system. Getting AroundThe Greenway provides a way to bike downtown or to the Avondale bar district. We recommend Uber for the easiest transportation. Downtown is about 10-15 minutes away, depending on traffic.

The uniquely beautiful Angel Oak, Charleston Tea Plantation and inspired spirits at Firefly Distillery all call this area home. The SpaceThe studio is surprisingly spacious. There is a large vaulted main room that has a 8x12' projection screen for playing movies or TV, an excellent stereo system connected to a computer for streaming music, a large sectional sofa, and long desk/work space. Plenty of room for yoga. The kitchen is small, but efficient, with all the necessities of home, except an oven - but there is a nice grill out on the deck for cooking outside. The upstairs sleeping loft is cozy, with a low ceiling yet plenty of room for a queen bed. There is a firepit off the deck for cooler nights. Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire studio. The property also has a 1910 farmhouse that sits adjacent to the studio. While the two buildings are relatively close, there is plenty of privacy. While guests stay in the studio, I stay in the main house. Interaction with GuestsI may or may not be staying at the farmhouse next door. If I am, I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. Otherwise, I will leave my assistant's contact information. Other Things to NoteThere are a handful of animals on the property. I have two cats that love to come inside and greet guests - they love to sit on laps and purr, and while I am happy for you to spend time with them, I would ask that you not leave them inside alone - they are very well-behaved and friendly, I just don't trust them inside alone:>) The cats do also love to climb up on and inside of vehicles, so if you don't want a cat in your car, make sure to roll the windows up! My sweet dog Rosie is also on the property - she is a super gentle dog, who loves to lick:>) There is an aquarium in the studio - and I ask guests to please feed the fish once a day while they are here - THANKS!

The SpaceLocated on Johns Island, which is 8.6 miles from Downtown Charleston, SC & 23 mins from Kiawah Island & Beach, this is like a private cabin campground getaway :) Set in the rural back yard and farmlands of Charleston, this 8.5 acres is completely set up for nature walks in the woods, a swimming hole complete with a zip line into the water, large garden, picnic tables, fire pit, HOT TUB :) kayaks and boats for enjoying the nearly 4 acres of spring fed ponds. The building has a small and fully functional kitchen, a toilet, outdoor shower, dining space & den, a lovely screened porch & fantastic views of the water. The upstairs, is only accessible by romantic and fun ATTIC STYLE LADDER, and has a double bed, drawers and clothing rack. We have lots of kid and family games stocked in the cupboard, a TV and DVD player that can be plugged in, available signal for WiFi, as well as a pull out couch for extra sleeping arrangements. We are a 5 minute car ride from the grocery and local Johns Island restaurants, and Chilsolm Rd. to which we are adjacent, is a regular local bike riders route. Our land is truly unique, and has a truly great outdoor space for enjoying the gorgeous Charelston weather. Come and enjoy this Nature Lover's Paradise! The SpaceThe space is the upstairs including a bedroom with a very comfortable queen bed. There is a loft sitting area which has a single bed for a third guest. The full bath is between the two. You are welcome to use the downstairs, large porch with dining room, kitchen, hot tub, fireplace, etc. We do live downstairs (seperate entrance if needed) but spend a lot of time in our shop. You will find we are barely in the house unless you need us, allowing for a great deal of privacy. The log home atmosphere is very special making a very warm and comfortable home. Also the home is situated on a very private location nestled in the woods. Perfect for someone really wanting to get away. Something very special is that we offer full service gourmet meals upon request. On the subject of food : breakfast in particular. We have bought much fruit and bangles and such only to see it go bad. I am gluten intolerant and don't care for fruit .. lol. We have so many guest who don't eat breakfast at all or plan to eat it out. If breakfast is something you'll want, perhaps you could let me know and we will work from there. We certainly have coffee, can't live without coffee :-). Guest AccessYou will have full access to the home except for the master bedroom and study. This includes the spacious porch with several sitting areas and outdoor dining. There is a hot tub on the porch as well as some free-weights and stationary bikes. Throughout the house you will find handmade rustic furniture which we build and sell. The house and porch also contain many heirloom antiques, including a working 1956 G.E. stove. Interaction with GuestsWe do live in the home with a private entrance for us although we spend much of our time in the shop. We can interact as much or little as our guest choose. We also have a camper where we frequently stay to allow complete privacy for our guest if needed. The NeighborhoodWe live in a rural setting but are just minutes from everything. Getting AroundParking is included, even enough space for a bus or large RV. There is no public transit in our area but Uber and taxis do come our way. It is to far for walking or bicycling. Other Things to NoteIf you are interested in a full service gourmet meal, complete with wine, let me know what you might like (hint: Charleston has great fresh seafood) and we can discuss a menu to your liking. Lunch or dinner. Our shaded porch is a great place to relax, meals can also be served there. Outdoor bonfires can also be arranged upon request. Of course there is an additional charge for these services.

The SpaceOur space is rustic yet comfortable, bright and clean! The studio apartment is ideal for two tenants. Three can easily fit in this 500 square foot cabin if one person doesn't mind the couch or a blow-up mattress (provided). Guest AccessResponsible guests have access to a fire pit. Interaction with GuestsThe guests won't see much of us unless they want to! The apartment is private. The shared yard is large. I usually knock on the door at / or shortly after check-in but won't bother you unless needed after that. (We sometimes need access to that area of the yard to get to our boat, etc.) The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is rural and full of beautiful oak trees! We have sometimes have some random bikes available for renters to use. Its a pretty road down the way..... Getting AroundSome guests find our shack difficult to find! Once you arrive at Cane Slash Road, we are the 8th driveway on the left. We are the first brick house on the street - and there are 2 brick piers at the end of the driveway. Please pull down the driveway and around to the back of our house. You will then see a large metal workshop. At that point, drive on the grass around and directly behind the metal building to park next to the picnic table at the Sleepy Shack. Ample parking is provided. Please drive cautiously! We have a 8 year old son who likes to play in the yard!

The SpaceAfter Thanksgiving weekend the college football season will be over and the RV will be available again until the bowl. Enjoy the 32 foot RV that has two slide outs. Full kitchen, bath, and queen bed. Enjoy the peace and quiet situated on a tidal creek. Sit and watch the great egrets eat or simply watch the sunset on the dock. After our many travels, we chose Charleston as our home town and we love it! We can recommend lots of different activities around town, and places where you can enjoy tasteful food and drinks according to your preferences. We love hiking, bird-watching, kayaking, biking, exploring the local restaurants, sites and parks. We enjoy live music and a chilled glass of wine or beer on the patio. Our home in West Ashley is perfectly situated to explore Charleston and the surrounding areas. We are 7.5 miles away from downtown, 30 minutes from Folly Beach and 30 minutes from Kiawah Island. Our beautiful neighborhood is very quiet and family-friendly. You can enjoy the many miles of walking trails, dog park, playgrounds and 3-acre park. If you desire, we can provide you with a key to access the pool, which is open from April 1st to September 31st. In our home, you will enjoy the private peaceful backyard facing out onto the rear wetlands and pond. Your bedroom is downstairs along with your own private full bathroom. You can relax in the open floor plan living area and sunroom. The bedroom can accommodate a co-sleeper or playpen and we are delighted to host your young child. We are very happy to welcome your small dog. We have a friendly pug that loves children and animals. Please ask us before booking your pet as there are breed and personality restrictions. There will be a $20 pet fee for the duration of your stay.

My neighbors are very quiet, and mature in age, thus making our neighborhood free from noise pollution and light pollution at night. The very best thing about this Johns Island community is its distance to all of the main city attractions as well as all of the historic locations that are outside of the main city circle. You will be 5min away from the historic angel oak, 15 to 20min away from Kiawah and Seabrook island, 20 to 25 min away from some of the historic plantations and if Savannah is the next stop, you are only about 1hr and 25 min from Savannah! Come see what all of the fuss is about here in Charleston and stay at a great place that is centrally located to everything! Getting AroundUber has taken the Charleston area by storm! While there is no public transportation, there is always the convenience of Uber at your fingertips! I am an Uber driver and can show you how it works if you are not familiar with Uber!!! Getting AroundFor those of you flying in to Charleston, you will need to rent a car. Downtown Charleston is 15 minutes away from us and Kiawah's best beach, Beachwalker Park is 10 minutes away. Shop at Freshfield's Village where you'll find everything from groceries to clothing. If you don't want to cook then enjoy some of Charleston's Best restaurants for dining out...the Fat Hen offers Southern cuisine, Wild Olive has great Italian, and The Southern General and Tattooed Moose serves fabulous pub fare, all are just minutes away. You can take your own sunset cruise around the lake in a paddle boat with a glass of wine. Or just sit on your deck and enjoy the music. Other Things to NoteHot spot on your cell phone is your Wi-Fi. Dogs are OK as long as they are well behaved and socialized (get along with people and other dogs), and obviously fully house trained. My backyard is fenced in so it's a great spot for a dog to hang out. My dog isn't a cat person so sorry, no cats!

As Johns Island natives they know the area well and are great resources. The NeighborhoodFrog Hollow is a tiny house in the woods nearly at the end of a private dirt road. The house takes its name from the cacophony of froggy love songs that fill the night air. Fall asleep to a concert of frogs, whip-poor-wills, barred owls and cicadas - wake up to songbirds greeting the day. The house was built by Graham Runion, a member of the family that has owned and farmed the property for generations. The main house, built in the 1920s when the original farmhouse burned down, can be glimpsed to your left as you come down the drive. No longer farmed, the property has reverted to pine and live oak forest. There are deer, bobcat and tons of song birds. Wild turkey, hawks, painted bunting, warblers, towhees and ibis are just a few of the species that can be seen from the deck. You may even spot the wild peacock strutting in the nearby forest with his harem of turkey hens. Frog Hollow is the perfect place for nature lovers, kayakers and boaters, with Stono River access via Limehouse landing 5 minutes down the road, a beautiful ride to Cherry Point landing and North Edisto access, and a short drive to the ACE basin.                   The Space"PEACE", is an immaculately clean and elegant "home base" for you while you experience all things Charleston. Perfect for a romantic getaway! It is located in a quiet, safe and peaceful West Ashley neighborhood minutes to downtown Charleston, the beaches and great shopping! It has just been totally remodeled including new heating & air system, new water heater, new paint throughout, hardwood flooring, granite countertops, new leather furniture, two queen-sized beds, a sleeper ottoman and two smart TV's with On-Demand and high-speed wireless internet. It includes a romantic fireplace, serene patio area, pool/tennis, stocked kitchen, washer/dryer and free parking! (Although it sleeps 6, I recommend 4 adults or a family of 6). There are 4 separate areas with mirrors and outlets allowing 4 guests to get ready at the same time. I only ask that you respect this space and be courteous of the neighbors. Guest AccessYou will have the entire condo to yourself and have access to everything inside as well as the outside enclosed patio, pool and tennis court. Free Parking! The first parking space directly in front of the unit is yours. You may also park in the 4th space over from that. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood conssts of young and older adults and families. However, it is incredibly quiet neighborhood of lovely folks. Getting AroundUber and taxis are available. Other Things to NotePaddle board provided but no fishing pole.
