The SpaceHouse is perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood in Mount Pleasant, just before the Sullivan's Island bridge 1600 sq foot house with private room/bath for rent. TV, INTERNET, KITCHEN, PARKING, QUEEN BED, HOT TUB, Private office with working printer. Guest bedroom has a bed, walk in closet, and dresser. I'm in the process of redecorating it, adding artwork, and a TV depending on the popularity of this rental. Charleston has so much to offer, you should not need a TV in your room! Guest bedroom is upstairs, with its own private full bath. Note that master bedroom/bath are not shown in this listing. Must be comfortable around large dogs. I have two Great Danes (and a Yorkie). Dogs welcome so long as they are social with other dogs and are COMPLETELY house-trained. This includes territorial marking!! Taxi Fare: $15.00 to Downtown

The living area is open concept with new, large comfy denim sleeper (beautyrest) and wing back chair, plus 45" flat screen, small kitchen fully equipped, and dining table seats 4 comfortably. YOUR NUMBER OF GUESTS MUST INCLUDE ADULTS, CHILDREN, and requested PETs !! PET MUST BE APPROVED with PET FEE covered!!! Sorry, cats allergy cleaning fee would be too high, so NO CATS, No exceptions. A stack washer/dryer is in hall closet. *The condo is located next door to our large 2BR townhouse which sleeps up to 7. Many groups love to rent both, as the location is superb. Although there is no view from inside, outside we are at the beginning of the island causeway, over the gorgeous the Intracoastal Waterway. Walk on across (just under 1 mile) to Sullivan’s Island’s gorgeous beach and fun pubs, or 1 mile the other direction to Old Pitt Street Bridge, a 1000-foot pier, is a favorite biking, walking, crabbing, fishing destination on the Intercoastal Waterway with incredible sunsets overlooking downtown Charleston. A full shopping center, 2 grocery stores, and 11 restaurants/pubs are less than 2 blocks walk. There are five top golf courses within 10 to 20 minutes drive and many more 30-45 minutes. Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is an upscale shopping experience in classic southern style. With over 65 national and local tenants, including: Banana Republic, Gap, Bath & Body Works, Caché, Men's Wearhouse and Old Navy, as well as the regions only J.Jill, Coldwater Creek and Francesca's. These photos are accurate. ELEGANT, YET, COMFORTABLE This spacious home on beachfront is designed for a large gathering of family and/or friends. The main living area, warmed by heart-of-pine bead-board and flooring, has four sofas to accommodate hanging-out and visiting. Antique dining table seats 12 with five stools at the adjoining kitchen counter/bar (plus a high chair for tots). Both areas look out over the set-down screen porch with tables, chairs, rockers, hammock, and sundeck onto the beautiful white beach and ocean. You are close enough to watch older kids and/or friends swim or play horse shoes on the beach from inside the home. PRIVACY! Designed for congregating, this home also offers individual privacy. Each of the five adult bedrooms has its own TV with cable, 3 with DVDs; four of these have ocean views and three have doors onto the upper level deck. The large kid's room has been painted to resemble an aquarium. It has two sets of bunks with trundles under each, and TV/DVD. The underneath of this home is a grill-out, hang-out, play area, white washed and open-air, 14 ft ceiling. It has 2 gas grills, 1 charcoal, propane streampot cooker, a tiki bar area, cd/mp3 player, ping pong table, hammock chairs, and various outdoor/beach games, as well as outdoor table and chairs. We keep 4-6 beach chairs (along with the resin adirondacks that are great for beach), a large cooler, and an awesome all-terain Wonder Wheeler to tote your things across your private boardwalk and down the dune. I also have info for a service that will set you up with wood and canvas loungers and umbrellas each morn. Call or email to ask about our pool access. We choose this specific spot to build for the closest legal proximity to the beach (20 yds down our private boardwalk), safe swimming areas, and non-crowded privacy from the commercial area, a 3/4 mile walk. You are 3/4 mile walk or drive down the beachfront to the Banana Cabana, the One Eyed Parrot, Long Island Cafe, Coconut Joe's, and many great restaurants. 3/4 mile the other way to The Boathouse Restaurant on Breech Inlet. The world famous Windjammer beach bar offers up nightly entertainment, and Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack 3 miles away in Mt. Pleasant has the best Lowcountry Shaggin outside of OD.       The SpaceThe suite overlooks a landscaped private garden and contains a Queen bed, armoire with a 32" flat screen TV, lots of closet space , iron and ironing board, and a separate private bathroom. It also has an adjacent sitting room with a Daybed , mini-'frig', coffee maker and a selection of coffees and teas. The suite has 2 beds and will accommodate 1 -3 people. The garden has a shaded, sitting area ideal for taking morning coffee or afternoon wine. Guest AccessAccess to the suite -- bedroom, sitting room, bathroom is by a separate and private entrance. As a licensed Charleston tour guide its a pleasure to share our favorite restaurants and historical information. The NeighborhoodWe live in Mt Pleasant adjacent to the Old Village. Think of an English sea side village. Its central location in the Charleston area is excellent: only 10 minutes to downtown and 5 minutes to Sullivan's Island beach. There are over 40 restaurants and bars within 1 mile radius making it a fun place to walk or bike. Nearby is Shem Creek where shrimp boats dock and 6 seafood restaurants line the waterfront. Getting AroundParking is free and easy on our tree - lined street. Public buses stop two blocks away with routes to Charleston and the beaches. Walking or biking to the beach via pedestrian/bike path is a popular alternative. Other Things to NoteTelle Graham is our small, friendly golden retriever who spends most of her day outside behind a gated fence and she now has a little brother, Cuddy. They do not go into the guest quarters. Price varies according to the days of the week and holidays but never exceeds $150 a night for two guests with a two night minimum.

This unique apartment has original hardwood floors, decent size rooms and light filled windows. When the sun is blazing the outdoor area is a cozy shady porch that is a perfect place to chill out and enjoy a cold beverage and when the afternoon thunderstorms are rolling through it's a wonderful dry place to watch the rain come down. There is plenty of free off street parking which is great because you'll be walking distance to the many bars and restaurants on Shem Creek, Coleman Boulevard, and the quaint Old Village Pitt Street shops. Guest AccessYou will enjoy the apartment to yourself with use of the bedroom, kitchen, living room, bathroom and porch. The bedroom has a new memory foam cushion top queen mattress. The eat-in kitchen is small but I love to cook so it is well organized and very functional. There is a coffee maker, a Ninja blender, dishwasher, and all the necessary cooking utensils that you are welcome to use. The living room has a super comfy couch and a simple entertainment set up. There isn't a cable hook up but there is high-speed internet, a DVD player and the TV has a Roku streaming device which has a tonne of channels including Hulu plus, Netflix, Watch ESPN and HBO. Interaction with GuestsWe can have a much or as little interaction as you'd like. I'm happy to give you any tips on where to eat, what to do and how to get where you'd like to go. The only thing that I'll need to access is the porch so I can water my plant's, and that'll be once every couple of days. On occasion I may ask if I can access the apartment to get something from my office which is the locked second bedroom but I will always contact you by text to see if it's ok with you. The NeighborhoodThe Old Village has so much to offer and most of it is within two blocks of this apartment. The Pitt Street shops have a fantastic restaurant called The Post House, a couple of very cool dress/gift shops, and an old school pharmacy where you can still get an ice cream float. There's a public basketball court, public tennis courts and a playground that's a pretty 10min walk away. Shem Creek doesn't just boast bars and restaurants, it has free access to the water if you have a SUP, kayak or any other small water craft that you want to launch. If you don't own your own there are two rental outfits that have all different types of small water crafts. But wait, there's more! You're only 3 and a bit miles away from Sullivan's Island where you can relax on the beach and visit more restaurants and then, in the other direction, you're only a 10 min drive to the heart of down town Charleston. Getting AroundUnfortunately, Mount Pleasant doesn't have the best public transport available but there is a bus service that takes you downtown and it does have bike racks so you can ride to the bus stop and bring your bikes with you.

You are seconds from Shem Creek (with great restaurants, shrimp boats and paddleboarding) and 2 blocks from quaint shopping in the old village. Best of all, in 6 minutes, you are at the beach on Sullivan's Island, or across the Ravenel bridge to downtown Charleston. The room is large with a Queen memory foam bed, super soft sheets, reading chair and closet, old heart-of-pine floors throughout. This isn't a hotel; it's a HOME! Which means kick off your shoes and relax! Drink a glass of wine or snifter of brandy...Read an old book (with that great old book smell)...sit on the expansive cool porch, swinging in the hammock. Take out the surfboard or kayak we have and enjoy the creeks and ocean. Or walk into the village for a milkshake at the drug store or an incredible dinner at the Old Post House. A "welcome basket" will be waiting for you, with snacks and wine, and information on shops and local restaurants! We want you to enjoy yourself. If you find that you need the entire apartment, let us know! We can sleep 6 comfortably on 2 beds and a futon. Guest AccessWhen you are here, you are our GUEST! Which means our house is your house. There is a back patio, large fenced in back yard, and a patio table with seating for four. We also have a washer and dryer that is specific to the unit and Internet is provided. There are two twin beds and a queen. We also have a cot the size of a XL Twin bed to use as a rollaway. We can configure the two twin beds as bunk beds, and put the rollaway on the other side of the room. There is a BBQ for you to use and charcoal is provided. If you are interested in using bikes during your stay please let us know with your inquiry. We have two beach cruisers that we like to provide to our guests depending on availability. It will save you money on renting bikes. We offer them on a first come first serve basis. Bike to the beach or down to Shem Creek for dinner!! It is nice having the option of walking to dinner, or down the street to Starbucks in the morning. This is a great and historic neighborhood that is fun to explore on foot or by bike. Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are also only a few miles away. Getting AroundThere are public bus stops up and down Colman that can take you to downtown Charleston. Honestly, the best way to get around is either on foot or by bike. Mike's bikes is just down the street and they rent bikes by the day and by the hour. We live in the same neighborhood and regularly ride our bikes to the beach. As far as driving, you can be in downtown Charleston or Isle of Palms within 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.                                 The SpaceStunning home with beautiful views... An island style family beach home, 4 bedroom 3 bath, has plenty of space for entertaining guests or just relaxing. The striking kitchen offers custom mahogany and rattan cabinets, subzero fridge and beautiful Australian cypress floors that carry into the great room. Our master suite provides relaxation with a sun filled sitting room. The first bedroom has a queen size bed and shares a bathroom with another bedroom that has a twin. The upstairs bedroom has it's own bathroom and we have recently added another twin bed to it even though it is not pictured. The beach is fabulous and uncrowded. Wonderful restaurants within walking distance along with music venues on the Isle of Palms and the neighboring Sullivan's Island. We are away currently, but our neighbor can assist you with any of your needs. Our neighborhood is tranquil and beachy, but is less than 25 minutes away from downtown Charleston's incredible restaurant and shopping scene. The rich culture of the Charleston area creates an environment with museums and galleries abound, while also satiating any outdoorsy types with it's surf and sun. There is tourism on Isle of Palms but our house out of it's reach, however, it is a five minute walk if you want to partake in the communal beach volleyball tournaments or go to reggae night at the Windjammer. We never have an issue with noise levels or partying nearby... this is a very family friendly home. Charleston has been voted the best city in the USA four years running by Conde Nast Traveler and was voted the 2nd best city in the world this year! Guest AccessThe beach is fabulous and uncrowded. And there is a beach path right across from our house. You can rent bikes on Isle of Palms to explore the beautiful island. Also the beach is hard sand so you can bike on it. You can also enjoy the amazing restaurants and music of Isle of Palms as well as the neighboring Sullivan's Island. Interaction with GuestsWe are available by email and phone but will not be present during the guest's stay unless our neighbor is needed. We prefer to give our guests a great deal of privacy. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is one of the quietest beach locations due to it's unique location. Our neighborhood is on a cul de sac which ends just down the road from us. Also there is no parking on Ocean Blvd. in front of our houses which limits beach access to mostly homeowners and their renters. Getting AroundThere is no public transportation on the islands but you also really don't need any. Bikes are available to rent on the island as well as golf carts (but they have a lot of restrictions on where they can be driven). It's a very accessible island as well as the neighboring island of Sullivans Island with it's lighthouse and great restaurants. Parking is free on the property for 3-4 cars. There are shuttles and cabs available from the airport as well as rental cars. Other Things to NoteOur home is elevated and reverse living, meaning there is a flight of stairs up to the first floor which is bedrooms, a second flight up takes you to the beautiful views along with another bedroom and bath, kitchen, living room and decks.

Surrounded by plantation style homes, there are great places to eat such as the Old Village Post House, Triangle Bar and Grill, and great waterfront dining on Shem Creek watching dolphins and shrimp boats go by.                                 The SpaceWe are on a quiet street in a quiet neighborhood in the heart of Mount Pleasant. Walking and biking distance to just about anywhere you want to go. This is an old 1,000 square foot brick house that has been remodeled. It is not huge, but very comfortable with all the amenities. Around here you don't spend much time indoors anyway. There are three bedrooms, two have king size beds (one is a pull-out day bed) and third bedroom has a full size bed. There is only one bathroom and an outdoor shower with a privacy curtain. We have a wall mounted flat screen T.V. that has a DVD player and Netflix and Amazon through a ROKU. We cut the cable but you can get local stations. There is also a sound system you can connect to Bluetooth. Enjoy our large back yard and tire swing, plenty of toys for kids. We have two bikes, beach chairs, body boards, and beach towels included for you to use. Enjoy the screened in porch or a nice outdoor shower with a glass of wine. There is also a BBQ with charcoal provided. We love playing tour guide so if you are unfamiliar with the area we can offer plenty of suggestions. Guest AccessYou will have access to the entire house. You are free to use whatever you need in the house and we will provide laundry detergent and other essentials. The NeighborhoodOur Neighborhood is special because of all the outdoor activity you will see. It's perfect for jogging, leisure bike rides or playing outdoors. There are a couple parks nearby, Alhambra, which overlooks the Charleston Harbor, where many beautiful weddings are held. Across the street is a playground for the kiddos. Pitt Street offers scenic views on Pitt Street Bridge, or on the opposite end, great food and nostalgia at Village Bakery, Old Village Post House (fine dining) and Pitt Street Pharmacy (soda fountain and ice cream shoppe).

DIRECTLY ACROSS THE 3/4 MILE CAUSEWAY FROM SULLIVAN'S ISLAND PRISTINE BEACHES, IN BEAUTIFUL OLD VILLAGE MOUNT PLEASANT This 2 bedroom, 1 and 2- ½ (Jack n Jill) baths Townhouse is located in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant. 1500+ sq.ft. means each room is spacious, at least 1/3 larger than most. Located 1 mile to Sullivan's Island Beach, 6 miles to Historic Charleston, 12 miles to the airport, 2 miles to Shem Creek's famous seafood restaurants, 4 miles to the Yorktown at Patriot's Point, and 1 mile to Pitt Street Bridge, this Townhouse offers one King size Bed in large master bedroom as well as a full size, all wood futon. One queen and a set of bunk beds in second bedroom, plus same futon along with new Simmon's sofa in LR. It is comfortably prepared for sleeping 4 adults and 2-3 children (we have a port-a-crib), or 5 MAX adults of 27 years or above. YOUR NUMBER OF GUESTS MUST INCLUDE ADULTS AND CHILDREN !! The 2 bathrooms uptairs share 1 shower/tub in the middle with separate entrances from Master and hall baths. Then there is another 1/2 bath downstairs.W e have 40" HDTV in LR. Both BRs have 32" HDTVs w/ Comcast Digital Preferred package. Again, all-adult groups of more than 4 adults must be 27 years of age and above, or ask specifically for exception. We cannot allow Bachelor or Bachelorette groups. The large townhouse kitchen is fully equipped with all but your groceries and the large dining room seats 7 comfortably. The living area is large and comfy, arranged for family fun. A full laundry room is off of the living room. That room opens onto the small back porch and small backyard with grill and hammock. There is a covered front porch as well. We keep a few beach chairs, a medium cooler, and a some beach toys ( as well as non-beach toys) for guests to use. I also have info for a service that will set you up with wood and canvas loungers and umbrellas each morn. There are 2 private parking spots. The charming vacation home is decorated in a tropical island/beach motif and is located on a quit cul-de-sac with no street traffic in one of Charleston's top communities. Walk 1 mile to Sullivan's island's gorgeous beach and fun pubs, or 1 mile the other direction to Old Pitt Street Bridge, a 1000-foot pier, is a favorite biking, walking, crabbing, fishing destination on the Intercoastal Waterway with incredible sunsets overlooking downtown Charleston. A full shopping center is less than 2 blocks walk. There are five top golf courses within 10 to 20 minutes drive and many more 30-45 minutes. One of our best features is that we are located in a much lower traffic area than most of the Charleston Area. Mount Pleasant's Old Village is accessible to downtown and beaches without entering the main traffic areas of Hwy 17 which have become a burden to our city. Directions will be direct and simple and involve few complicating factors. This can make a serious difference in your experience. It was built in 1978, remodeled in 1989. We do regular updates, but would have to charge much more to comvert to granite and stainless. The fully functional but dated baths and kitchen are why we are THE BEST DEAL going in the Best LOCATION ! The Village is the nicest area, but all the brand new places are miles up the HWY. (We provide a limited amount of start-up paper goods, soaps, etc. Also, Pets MUST be approved with Pet cleaning fee.) Pet cleaning fee is $120 or $80 if NOT allowed on furniture at all, for fixed, house or crate trained dogs. Make sure to specify if you wish to bring your dog. A mile to Sullivan's Island and Beach, 6 miles to Historic Charleston, 12 miles to the airport, 2 miles to Shem Creek’s famous seafood restaurants, 4 miles to the Yorktown at Patriot’s Point, and 1 mile to Pitt Street Bridge.                                 The Space****The Town of Mount Pleasant and the City of Charleston have become very strict about short term rentals and are both in the process of changing or modifying the ordinances related to these types of rentals. WE HAVE BEEN GRANTED one of only three B&B licenses in the city**** The Location: Walk to Shem Creek and all restaurants on Coleman Blvd or ride one of the two bikes we provide! The beach is less than 2 miles away and downtown Charleston is only a 7 min drive. Some quiet southern comfort, a hammock under some old oak trees, and a 5 minute bike ride to all the seafood you can eat on Shem Creek! The apartment is located right in the middle of one of the oldest and most historic areas in South Carolina. The 54th Mass camped right down the street. The H.L. Hunley slipped into the water for the first time and the final time at the end of Pitt St, also right down the street. The cemetery right next door is full of beautiful oak trees and graves hundreds of years old. Who knows what's buried in the ground right beneath your feet, and the trees and the houses all around you were witnesses to some of the most important events in South Carolina during The Revolution and Civil War. The Space: The apartment is spacious with a queen bed, a small kitchenette, full bathroom, walk-in-closet, and an eating area. It has everything you will need for a stay in Charleston. There are plenty of places to sit and relax and even a hammock in which to take a nap. The outdoor shower, with hot and cold water, is a great way to get the beach sand off while enjoying the ocean breeze! There is a patio table with two chairs and lots of great mood lighting under the old oak trees in the backyard. This is a quiet comfortable place right in the middle of all the attractions. THE LOCATION IS PERFECT! What's included: We hope to have you feeling relaxed long after you've left. We have decorated it to make you feel at home. It has charm reminiscent of the Old South, but it also has some very modern amenities. Guest AccessThe backyard is a great place to relax. We have tables, chairs, a hammock, outdoor shower, and a projection screen we use in the summer time and during football season. In fact, during football season we host a lot of cookouts on Saturday evenings and show a game or two. Several Saturdays in the summer if its cool out enough to show moves on the projector in the backyard! Interaction with GuestsWe are happy to help with any questions you may have and love to give advice about our favorite restaurants and places to see! So just ask. We also created a travel guide for you located on the table right when you walk in. The NeighborhoodThe restaurant scene on Coleman Boulevard is the best place for dining and nightlife in Mount Pleasant. The restaurants are very cool and unique. The rich and very creative southern cuisine is wonderful!!!There is great seafood on Shem Creek only a 5 minute bike ride away. The rest of Coleman Boulevard is lined with great places serving a wide variety of food. Trendy and creative, they are almost all worth exploring. We have a home made restaurant guide in the apartment for you to use. We have included maps of course and menus from our favorites. Getting AroundThis apartment comes with two beach cruisers, and they can be used to reach a wide variety of great sites and eats near by. When you stay here, you're smack-dab in the middle of all the action! In fact, you can bike to downtown Charleston in approximately 30 minutes, if you don't mind pedaling across the Ravenel Bridge. Although it is a steep climb up the bridge on the bike path, you can look forward to an effortless decent with stunning views of the city and harbor. Once downtown, you can reach all the fantastic places to see (like the Battery and East Bay Street) in just a matter of minutes. To get to the beach, it should take approximately 15-25 minutes by bike (depending on your speed). Amazing bars and restaurants line Coleman Boulevard and Shem Creek, and they are all very close; in fact, you can walk to Shem Creek in less than 15 minutes. To get to the center of Coleman Boulevard, which is the trendy and fun restaurant scene is a 10 minute walk or 3 minute bike ride (.5 miles). ***We only ask that you please lock up the bikes when you are out and bring them back in good condition.*** If you prefer to not to commute around by foot or bike, there are many available taxi services (lots of UBER drivers), or other public transportation (the Carta Bus system). If you choose to bring or rent a car there is a space in front of the house marked by a green post. Other Things to NotePlease respect the privacy of the owners, their property, and their neighbors. Don't mind the nosey demeanor of the neighbor on the corner across the street. She doesn't like the idea of Airbnb but she's getting used to it. The building was built in 1902 and used as the Commissary for Fort Moultrie. It was sold to the Charles Chip company after Fort Moultrie was decommissioned in 1947. Potato Chips were processed here until it was converted to apartments in the 1970. In 2014 and 2015, the building was substantially renovated and converted into Condos. The unit has a good view of the Marsh and is in walking distance to the beach.
