The SpacePrivate room with a king size bed easily fits two people (I have a twin air mattress which can be pulled out to accommodate a third) person. You will also have full use of your own private bathroom during your stay. The house is small but clean and cozy. I have a friendly dog, but he can be confined to the back part of the house so that you don't have to interact with him if you'd prefer not to. I am usually working on some sort of home related project. I would describe my place a warm, comfy and bohemian. There are so many restaurants and bars within a five minute drive (some within walking distance) and I am 15 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from downtown and 10 minutes from The Grand Ole Opry and Opryland Resort. Words I would use to describe my home: eclectic, artsy, fun, cozy, unique, clean, evolving, well-situated and quiet. Words I would not use to describe my home: Pretentious, stuffy, unfriendly, boring. Guest AccessIn addition to your private bedroom and bathroom, you will have access to all common areas (living room & kitchen), as well as wifi and Roku tv, fresh towels, shampoo, essentials like hair dryer, iron, etc. You are welcome to use the kitchen to cook, and I will also provide you with lots of information about local spots to eat, drink and shop. I'll have coffee, tea, water, soda, etc. as well as simple breakfast supplies and snacks on-hand. There is free parking right in front of the house, and additional parking on the street. Interaction with GuestsInteraction can be as much or little as you prefer. I want you to feel comfortable during your stay. I will be more than happy to chat about great stuff to do while you are in town, share a meal if I happen to be cooking, or give you a ride somewhere if you don't have access to a car, etc. My bedroom/office space is separate from the rest of the house, so if privacy and and quiet are what you are looking for, you will feel right at home. The NeighborhoodEast Nashville/Inglewood is a unique and eclectic neighborhood, filled with creative people, funky coffee shops, unique dining, shopping and nightlife. Getting AroundPublic transportation in Nashville is not the best, but there is a fairly decent bus system and I am located close to several bus stops. Uber and Lyft are both great low-cost transportation options in this neighborhood, and usually show up within 5-10 minutes. The SpaceWhen on safari in Africa, one wishes to see lions and elephants and alligators up close, from the safety of a heavily armored vehicle. A successfully executed journey to Nashville is like this. Yes, you want biscuits. Honky-tonks. A Country Music Fanpocalypse. But you also want to avoid the dangers of Nashville life: heart disease, cheating spouses, bovine- related injuries. Of all the neighborhoods in Nashville, only East Nashville offers you the genuine Nashville experience from the safety of a cultured, non-ironic reprieve just across the river from vast hordes of touristy Taylor Swift stalkers. Our home, a vintage ranch with a modern soul, is geographically essential to the neighborhood, the heart of the heart of the heart of the south. With attractions just a short drive away, you’ll easily have your pick of both local favorites and nationally renowned icons. Here’s the short list of both: Nationally Renowned Icons (all approximately 10 minutes from our Nashville home) • Roberts Western World: It’s the tonkiest you’ll find. Ask the bouncer and they’ll have someone break a beer bottle on your head free of charge. • Grand Ole Opry: Minnie Pearl died, but country stuff still happens here, and it’s really awesome. • Ryman Auditorium: You should be advised that we will probably force you to see a show here, unless you hate good music. • Hatch Show Print: Love letterpress? So do we! Hatch is the iconic home, where music married art. Buy a poster. Local Favorites • Shelby Bottoms: One of Nashville’s largest parks, the trail-way's entrance is just three blocks away from us. • Jeni’s Ice Cream: You could go to Italy for gelato, but while you stuffed your face you’d be surrounded by Euro super models. Here, you can revel with the down-home crowd and walk away with your self esteem intact. • Riverside Village: It’s like a residential Russian nesting doll, a village inside a neighborhood inside a city. But truly, within walking distance of our home you’re in the midst of a community of loving, adoring fans, all ready to support and encourage you as you live your life. It’s that quaint. Of course, we’re glossing over the nationally renowned restaurants, the craft bars, the Mexi/Arab/Pan-Asian corridor that is Nolensville Road, and all the other myriad treasures to be found in Nashville. We’ll have plenty of time to talk details once you’re here. For now you just need to know that if it’s a quintessential Nashville experience you want, there’s no better place than the Vintage Mod Ranch, East Nashville. The house is a 1952 ranch; please take advantage of the full kitchen and large fenced in backyard. There is also a fire pit where you can relax at night and enjoy the sounds of the Grand Ole’ Opry drifting from across the river. You have access to the laundry room. Tea, coffee, bottled water, along with oatmeal and granola bars will be provided. Smoking allowed outside. Last-minute reservations are usually no problem. Guest AccessThe entire house is available to you you and your companions. The front door is a key pad lock and the code will be sent to you on the morning of your arrival. Interaction with GuestsWe will be out of town during your stay but don't hesitate to call or message us. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is quite and we are a 10 minute drive from downtown. Getting AroundIf you have a car parking is no problem, use the driveway. We are about a mile and a half from some great bars and restaurants. There are bus stops between us and the restaurants but riding the bus requires patience. Uber and Lyft are also great options for this area. Other Things to NotePlease leave the house in the condition you found it. No need to make or strip the bed a service will be in to clean. Dirty dishes can be rinsed and put in the dishwasher for running later.

Hop in your car and travel the other direction to Opryland- beautifully decorated for the holidays. Stop to hear some great country music @ Nashville Palace- run by Robert's Western Wear (original place is in downtown Nashville). I am a registered STRP with the city of Nashville with that said we are now required to collect hotel occupancy tax and $2.50 per night hotel tax. Since Airbnb does not include this in the fee I will collect this fee in cash upon your arrival. When you book I will figure this cost and message the amount due. Interaction with GuestsI can be here for you to help guide you through what I consider the true"Nash Vegas" experience or leave you to explore for yourselves. Please let me know ahead of time if you have a particular part of town, or art scene or music you are interested in checking out while you visit. I do grow a huge raised bed garden so if the timing of your stay is right.... You may get to help pick the bounty or get a gardening lesson in! The NeighborhoodMy neighborhood is well rounded enough that you don't even have to cross the river if you don't want to. Art... Chef owned restaurants...boutiques...music venues... Local brewed beer...BBQ...tattoo studios...Dog walkers...Bike Trails...Beautiful Shelby Bottoms Park. Getting AroundMetro Nashville does provide bus transportation. There is a convenient stop directly across from the house. Two buses go downtown from this point- #20- Scott Bus...#4-Shelby Bus. Lyft and Urber rides downtown are just an app away. Other Things to NoteI have lived in this area for 25 years... Watching the neighborhood blossom into the wonderful gem it is today. I am a wealth of information about the area. I also was instrumental in establishing the first fine dining restaurant, Sasso, in East Nashville 14 yrs ago. I am a semi- retired chef... However I love cooking out of my garden. I now work as a catering Chef for Vanderbilt University. Please also note because the city of Nashville requires Short term rentals to collect hotel occupancy tax and a hotel tax of $2.50 per night as of July 1st, 2015. Since airbnb does not have this fee set into our system I need to collect this money in cash upon your arrival. When you book I can message the proper amount for you. I am so sorry for this inconvenience This money goes to the city not in my pocket.

Parking is expensive and driving can be chaotic.

The SpaceOur space feels kind of Country French with some Modern blended in. 2 things that make our place unique is how quiet it is here and how much light fills our space. The apartment is about 900 square feet. The second bedroom closes off from the dining room with elegant french doors. The decor is quite nice and feels like an oasis from the world, but it also very much an indoor/outdoor space that lends itself well to cooking, with the front door open to the yard, while someone is working outside on the nook and watching rabbits and squirrels, while someone else plays music in one room, and someone else is taking a nap in the other. It is a little slice of heaven For sleeping, the master bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom has a new queen size futon and an extra twin futon bed. . Guest AccessGuests have a full kitchen, two private bedrooms, media room, laundry, and deck off a private back yard. The neighborhood is totally quiet but if you are a musician, it's a great place to play and write. We are 5 minute drive from hipster Five Points area in East Nashville, 10 min drive to Shelby Bottoms State Park and Music City Greenway Bike Trails, 15 min drive to downtown, Music Row and Vanderbilt, and about 25 min drive to Radnor Lake and Percey Warner State Park for amazing hiking and biking. Interaction with GuestsGuest can reach me any time via email. A key will be left in a predetermined location. And while you won't see me during your stay, my rental manager is on premises. The NeighborhoodThis is a great neighborhood, with great neighbors. It is quiet and peaceful, but right around the corner from some of Nashville's best restaurants and music venues. Getting AroundNeed a car. Taxis and buses are close by. Other Things to NoteWe are in neighborhood characterized by woods and rolling hill, about 3 blocks from the Cumberland River. If you like to cook this is a wonderful fully equipped kitchen. With the couch and futon, the apartment can actually sleep 6 comfortably. If you want to write a hit song, or just enjoy some private, quiet time to replenish your wits, then this is the spot!!

The SpaceThis place is truly special. A white adobe style 1950's house on a hill on 2 wooded acres just a few minutes from downtown Nashville. There are gardens, decks, bamboo groves, views, swings and even a basketball court. And best of all, there is an enclosed liveable treehouse that acts as an additional bedroom, study, living room, etc. I'm an artist, so the house is filled with my own work and that of friends and family members. My friends have affectionately named the property "Louise Canyon" (Louise is my middle name) because it reminds them of Laurel Canyon in L.A. It's a truly magical spot. The house is roughly 1,700 square feet and the treehouse is about 140. It is located in Inglewood, just a few minutes from 5 points in East Nashville and about 10 minutes north of downtown Nashville. It's a few blocks off of Ellington Parkway, which makes it easily accessible to any interstate. There is a flat screen TV in the living room with apple tv, wifi throughout, a laundry room, and a wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen has original tile, gourmet-height corian counters and a beautiful 50's working gas stove. The whole house is decorated with antique and vintage furniture, original art and thoughtful accents. The house is currently set up for a couple with a young child (plus a guest room), but it could also accommodate a few friends or a larger family. One bedroom has a king size bed. The second bedroom is a little girls room with a twin size bed in it. The third bedroom is a guest room with a daybed. And the treehouse has a double bed and a couch. We also have a twin size air mattress that can be set up if needed as well as a comfy couch. Please let us know if you will need the air mattress, as we occasionally loan it out. Pets- We have 2 cats that live indoors and out. They usually stay at the house when it's rented short term, but we take them with us for longer term rentals. Guest AccessGuests are welcome to use any parts of the house. We usually don't clean up the laundry room before rentals, so excuse the mess in there! Guests can use the yard/gardens/deck. Please refrain from using the grill unless discussed with us first. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen and all equipment, plates, silverware, pots and pans, etc. We do not provide any food or beverage, but there is always room in the fridge for your own things. There is a supermarket very closeby on the corner of Gallatin and Greenfield. Interaction with GuestsWe will do our best to meet you at the property, but if we are unavailable in person, we will be available by phone or email anytime. The NeighborhoodWe live on two acres on a residential street, so you will have plenty of peace and quiet. It is a short drive from 5 points, riverside village and any other spot in East nashville. Also very quick drive to downtown or Germantown. Getting AroundThis house will work best for travelers with a car. We are located very close to Ellington Parkway, which means you can get to any part of town in 10-20 minutes. Less than 10 from downtown.

The SpaceThis space is completely private and separate from the main residence. It has a king size bed, bathroom with shower, full kitchen, and living area with flat screen and cable. Vaulted ceilings with thick wooden beams give the apartment a spacious feel. The floor is done in a terra cotta Mexican tile; the decor is bright and funky. French doors open to a private courtyard area connected to covered parking. It's located in historic Inglewood/East Nashville. The quiet neighborhood is covered with mature trees and is just one block from the Cumberland River. It feels like you are far from the big city, but in reality, you are minutes from Opry Mills and downtown Nashville. Hip restaurants, coffee shop, pub, and public transit are just blocks away. **We are huge child and animal lovers, but our space is not safe for children. We have a no child under 12 policy, and a not pet policy. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

The SpaceCome and stay in a cool house with lots of vintage knick-knacks and touches all through the house. You have a private 3-room suite all to yourself where you can have a cup of coffee as you plan your day, have a glass of wine at the end of the day while you catch up on a movie on Netflix. This will be your home away from home whether you're here for business or fun. And I'll do whatever I can to help you find cool places to shop, eat and sight-see! My house is a 1929 cottage sitting on a lush, wooded acre in East Nashville (Inglewood) originally built as a fishing cabin and constructed of wood from a Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway boxcar. It's been totally renovated inside but it's still a bit of a work in progress outside. I'm currently replacing siding and painting the house so when you pull in the drive don't be surprised if you see a ladder or two and a couple of sawhorses, or me with a paintbrush in my hand. Renovating this house has been a labor of love and I'm excited to share it with people. It's a really unique spot. It has a beautiful deck across the backyard with an amazing view 150 feet above the Cumberland River. The rental includes the entire south wing of the house, plus a shared kitchen and living room/music room with fireplace and baby grand piano and assorted guitars and basses. The rental wing has a door to close you off from the rest of the house and includes a guest bedroom, private bath, and a TV room with a 52" HDTV (no cable but a Roku box with free access to Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime), a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and free WiFi. The guest room has a queen-sized bed and the sectional in the TV room makes a comfy bed for one or two additional people. The house is decorated with funky art and vintage knick-knacks that I've accumulated over the years. Inglewood is part of East Nashville, a very popular, growing area full of artists, musicians and tons of locally-owned shops, bars and restaurants. A 5-minute drive from my house and you're at Riverside Village where you can grab a delicious plate breakfast, bagel and coffee or an amazing deli sandwich at Mitchell Deli. There's also the newly-opened Rudie's Seafood and Sausage for lunch or dinner, Castrillo's Pizza and my favorite neighborhood hangout, Village Pub where you can sit out on the porch while you sip on one of our many local craft beers and bite into a delicious pretzel-bun sandwich. Every Monday at Village Pub is mule Monday...Moscow Mules of different varieties and two-for-one all night long. A few minutes further down the road is Eastland Avenue where you'll find Ugly Mugs coffeehouse (Gwyneth Paltrow and members of the cast of "Nashville" have been spotted here many times). It's the most popular coffee place in East Nashville. In that same cluster of shops there's Rosepepper Mexican food, Wild Cow (vegetarian), Two Ten Jack (Asian fusion), Silly Goose and Eastland Café. A few minutes further and you're at 5 Points, the heart of artsy East Nashville where you'll find some of the best restaurants in Nashville as well as shopping, art galleries, bars and live music. If you're here on a Friday, check out happy hour at the 5 Spot with live music by Tim Carroll. On Main street is the Family Wash, one of the best places on the eastside to eat and hear local music almost nightly. Other eastside music venues include Basement East, Foobar, The East Room and Drifters BBQ. Check local listings when you get here to see who's playing or just pop in. If you're here to see the Grand Ole Opry or to do some outlet mall shopping, you're a 10 minute drive to Opryland Hotel and Opry Mills Mall. In fact, you can see it from my backyard! If you're a walker or runner, 2 miles down the road is an entrance to the Shelby Bottoms Greenway, an 8-mile loop of paved greenway space that meanders along the banks of the Cumberland River with scenic footbridges, marshes and frog bogs. A pedestrian bridge over the river takes you to more greenway paths and the Two Rivers area or to Opry Mills and The Grand Ole Opry. For the more industrious, you can keep following the greenway all the way to downtown Nashville. I've lived in Nashville for over 20 years and love to guide guests around this great city. I work from home and am always available to answer your questions, guide you where you need to go or make suggestions for things to do. I'm an avid runner and can give you tips on places to run and upcoming running events, maybe one will coincide with your visit. Please note that though you’re a short drive from all east Nashville has to offer, this is a more secluded spot and really isn't within easy walking distance to restaurants and bars. Having your own means of transportation is highly recommended. If you need public transportation, it's a half-mile walk to Gallatin Road and the closest bus stop. Or take advantage of ride sharing services like Lyft or Uber where you'll be picked up within minutes. Taxis are more expensive and the wait for a taxi can take up to an hour. If you’re a musician, you’ve come to the right house. I’m a musician/singer/songwriter too and this is a peaceful, inspiring hangout. Lots of places to sit and write and play. And there’s nothing like sitting out on the deck and looking out over the river for inspiration and writing a song. I've had musicians from all over the world write songs here! Speaking of the (URL HIDDEN) faces east. Sunrise views are spectacular and it’s a perfect spot for doing yoga or meditating, or just having a cup of coffee. The deck is seasonal, however. The winter months can make deck-sitting a chilly experience, though there is a patio space heater on the deck. If there's no wind, it heats quite nicely. Guest AccessIn addition to the private suite, guests have full access to the living room area, fireplace and musical instruments as well as the kitchen for cooking meals and the deck overlooking the river. The deck has a gas grill for cookouts. Interaction with GuestsThere isn't a private exterior entrance to your part of the house but there is an interior door to your Guest Suite that can be closed off from the rest of the house that gives you full privacy of your bedroom, bathroom and den. I live in the house as well, on the opposite side of the house from your suite, but I'm in and out a lot so I usually only see my guests briefly in passing and when I initially greet you. That said, I'm always available via text or phone and we may find ourselves sharing a chat or a cocktail some evening on the deck. The NeighborhoodInglewood is the northern part of East Nashville and about a 15 minute drive to downtown Nashville. The lots are larger and more secluded, giving the house and the setting a rural feel even though it's only minutes from great restaurants, bars and music venues. It's a very safe neighborhood with winding roads and lots of old, tall trees. Getting AroundThough there is public bus service, the nearest bus stop is 3/4 of a mile away. It's highly recommended that you have your own means of transportation. Or I suggest taking advantage of ride sharing services like Lyft or Uber where you'll be picked up within minutes. A Lyft to the heart of downtown costs about $8 (plus tip). Other Things to NoteThe siding work that's being done to the outside of the house does not impact your stay at all. There is no work being done to the inside of the house and no noisy construction will be going on during your stay!

The SpaceNewly renovated with hardwood floors and tile throughout, open shelving, full bathroom, queen bed, and plenty of storage space. 2 cats live outdoors and in the main house, though are not allowed in the apartment; guests who have cat allergies have not had any problems with staying here! My guesthouse apartment is private, quite, and in a very laid back part of town in convenient proximity to downtown, the airport, 5 points, Riverside Village, and the Shelby Bottoms River Trail. In addition to the apartment amenities, guests will have access to covered parking, use of a large fenced in back yard with plenty of trees and a fire pit, a gas grill, and a uniquely built 450 square ft. covered patio (picture a big living room with open walls) that is cozy to hang out in even in the windiest of TN summer rainstorms! I always enjoy meeting new people, and have travelled extensively both inside and outside of the U.S. The layout is such that if you would like to have privacy and do your thing, just let me know! I live on the property and will be available to address any questions/concerns, and if you'd like to chat or grab a drink around the corner that's cool, otherwise- come and go as you please, and enjoy your stay! The guesthouse is located in Inglewood/East Nashville on a very quiet block. It's right around the corner from Riverside Village, 5 minutes away from 5 points. Entrance to Shelby Bottoms Greenway is a few houses away- bike to downtown along the river, or bike/walk to the Grand Old Opry via the footbridge! You'll be best off with a vehicle, taxi, or bike. You can bike to downtown via the river trail, or to the nearest bus stop about a mile away (which accommodates bikes). Conventional taxis are about 12$ to 5points, 15$ to downtown. That said- I've heard more than a few times recently that lyft is not only cheaper, but also far more reliable in the east nashville hood... Also, visit the ProBass Store, H&M, Vera Bradley, as well as other awesome stores in Opry Mills. If you are joining us during the holidays, you'll be in for a real treat! Our house is at the doorstep of the best holiday light displays in the region: Opryland Hotel's Country Christmas and Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland are not to be missed. Plus, you'll be minutes away from the holiday shows at Opryland and shopping at Opry Mills. Getting AroundWe've got plenty of parking at our house! FYI, Nashville is a "car-city." No matter where you chose to stay here, many of the places you will likely want to visit will be most accessible via car instead of public transit. However, if you would like to catch the bus into town, the stop is one block away. We are happy to provide you with native knowledge on how to park downtown on the cheap. Also, uber or lyft rides are available to get you where you want to go.

The SpaceI put a lot of thought and detail into the space, working with my family and friends to rehab it into something unique, peaceful, and beautiful. It's in a great location near Riverside Village, a little hub of shopping, drinks, and eats that maintains a good community feel. Guest AccessOther than my room you'll have access to the rest of the house including the kitchen, bathroom, living room, back and front yard. Interaction with GuestsI'll let you do your thing but be available for any tips you'd like. I usually sleep in my room and keep pretty quiet. Sometimes I might sleep elsewhere. The NeighborhoodI love the walkability of my neighborhood and the well-roundedness of Riverside Village. I enjoy the casual, family vibe of my street and that residents have lived on it for many years. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop right across the street from my house, line 4 on the MTA bus system. If driving, you can park in my driveway, of course.
